New member here. Hi.

I have read most of these books, and I have to say that I regret not finishing the list. Ayn Rand is a wonderful philospher that has dictated her work into powerful novels and essays.

Anthem truely caught my attention, and she really did get her message across for pro-individualism. However, when I moved onto Fountainhead, I understood more of the details of her philosophy, and I have to state that my own personal philosophy doesn't quite concurr.

But that's okay. We're all entitled to our own opinions. I don't know if it is my christian background or my natural love and devotion to my family, but altruism is a big part of my life. Maybe it's my adhereance to the Golden Rule. Whatever it may be, I sure am glad that I'm not an architect. *wink wink*

I enjoyed Anthem, but I didn't like the way Ayn Rand viewed herself or the way she badmouthed Ernest Hemmingway
