Perhaps the use of apostrophes should be noted, especially the debate concerning when to put the apostrophe before versus after the "s" in a word. I was always taught (and correct me if I am mistaken) that the only situation in which the apostrophe came after the "s" was when the noun ended in "s" while plural. For example, "The buses' routes run through the city," referring to multiple buses. "The school bus's load of kids were rambunctious that morning," referring to a single bus. To top it all off, we have "Chris's assignment was late last class," because there is only one Chris.
