smiling when tony kissed him, Loki gave a chuckle at Tony's lack of thanks but he understood that him eating was thanks in a way. Knowing that Tony was eating also made Loki happy and he began to eat himself. His stomach growling with the first bite. listening to Tony argue with Clint trading blows with words he couldn't help but chuckle forgetting about the tension across the room from the other two warriors.

Sif and Fandral watched very annoyed with the way that their words had no effect on the twos relationship. Sif gave a nod to Fandral and the man moved to Steve. "I worry about your friend there." Fandral muttered only loud enough for Steve to hear. Natasha however watched from the corner of her eye.

Steve was shaking his head at something Tony had said when Fandral came over. He wanted to stiffen and move away, but he withheld that urge and simply turned a curious gaze onto the man. Hearing his words, Steve looked back to Tony and Clint, glancing over the inventor to make sure he wasn’t hurt in some way. “And why is that?” he asked, voice equally as soft. He knew Natasha was watching, even if it didn’t look like she was, and that was honestly some comfort. He still wished on some level that She or Clint had taken this job, but that couldn’t be helped.

Fandral nearly grinned with the opening Steve gave him to turn friends against each other. However he schooled his features into that of sorrow and sadness. "Unless your friend has killed children himself I do not know how he could stand to be so close to one." Fandral stated still quietly. "It seems like the only children Loki will keep are those or creature form or their skin sheds off." he continued.

The look of shock that spread across Steve’s face was honest. Of course he knew it probably wasn’t like Fandral was making it sound, but the accusation was still amazing. Looking directly at Fandral, Steve was suddenly completely serious, blue eyes burning into Fandral’s. “What are you talking about?” he asked firmly, all of the sternness of his years in the military honing in on the warrior beside him. He knew he shouldn’t go to Tony or Loki now, not when Fandral and Sif were finally turning to him, but there was a burning curiosity now, a need to know and understand what Fandral was talking about. And from the way he was talking, Tony knew.

"I am talking about your friend there must know by now about Loki's villainy. The prince killed his own children. The Allfather didn't banish Loki's children because he hated them like Loki likes to tell. He was protecting them from Loki by sending them away." Fandral stated. "I know your friend there must know by this point I tried to tell him last night. So it makes me wonder if the man is under Loki's control or he has killed children himself and does not care what the trickster has done."

Steve frowned at Fandral’s words. He didn’t want to believe what this man said….but there had to be a sliver of truth in it somewhere for him to try and use it to persuade him. There was too much to lose to risk a complete lie. But what part was the truth? Of course the mention of him trying to tell Tony last night set Steve on edge. Natasha had informed him of Sif and Fandral’s last visit to the penthouse and he could not imagine that Tony would have willingly let him in, so how had the warrior gotten up there when Tony and Loki had locked themselves away up there yesterday evening? Reaching a hand up to rub the back of his neck in thought, Steve considered his words for a moment. Is there some way to find out if Loki is controlling Tony?” he asked. Even if he was supposed to be acting to gain their trust, Steve still couldn’t throw Tony under the bus by saying he was so twisted as to not care about children when he knew the exact opposite. Tony was one of the most selfless men he’d met, even if it was well hidden behind charades for the public.

Fandral watched Steve carefully as he processed what he had told him. He knew he had the mans intrigue like he had told Sif he would. "Lady Sif knows a spell that could pull him out of such things if he is being controlled. Unfortunately Loki is the only one to know spell to merely check to see if one is being controlled." Fandral informed. If he could convince Steve to let Sif cast a spell on Tony they could control the man and destroy Loki. Destroying the god through his lover would be the easiest. He had seen how Loki had crumbled when his previous lover had died. If it hadn't been for the god's children he probably would have never recovered. That was what they were aiming for this time, Loki had no children to save him now.

Steve looked away when he heard the warrior mention a spell, looking like he was considering it, but really trying to fight a grimace. He had a feeling that he knew what this spell did. “And you think that this will be the only way to fix this? We just hit Clint over the head before.’ he asked, still not looking at him. His behavior could easily be contributed to an apprehension of magic, which it partially was.

Fandral watched Steve as the man thought. He knew the two were friends and it was hard but he needed to convince him. "Loki has had more time to cultivate the spell this time. He was much rushed with the archer and the others he controlled during the battle here. This time he was solely focused on your friend, it will be more difficult to break than a hit to the back of the head." Fandral explained and he knew all to well about it. He and Sif had controlled many a person in the past to get what they wanted including the trickster.

Steve frowned deeply and looked back to Fandral. Looking him over, he took a slow breath before responding. “Would you give me some time to think on it, see if I can talk to Tony and tell if something is wrong? Magic is not something we’re used to on Earth, and certainly not something I’m used to…..I would like to use it as a last resort.” He said slowly, honesty in his eyes.

"Of course." Fandral agreed despite the fact that he was disappointed. With the new data about Loki actually being Odin's son it would be great trouble for him and Sif if anyone figured out what they had done to Loki. Even causing a prince under punishment harm was a crime punishable by death. At the time they hadn't known and assumed that he was merely a frost giant and an obstacle for Thor to the thrown. Well Loki was still an obstacle and admittedly a bigger one than Thor's mortal lover. One challenge from Sif however would dispatch the mortal woman and open Sif up to be queen. "Please let me know when you have decided or have managed to talk to your friend." Fandral continued before ducking back towards Sif.

Steve nodded quickly to Fandral’s words. “Absolutley.” He responded. Watching Fandral go and sit with sif again, he turned back to his food, not acting strange or doing anything to draw attention to himself. As the meal wore on, he pulled out his phone and sent a quick, coded text to Natasha after enough time had passed. He knew her phone didn’t ring when he texted, not right not at least. He had to get her to tell Loki and Tony and tell him how to proceed. He didn’t think that this magic thing was a good idea, but perhaps Loki would have a way to use it to their advantage.

Natasha's eyes widened just barely when she received the coded message and read it. It was hard to believe the thing and decoded it twice more in her head to make sure. Then she forwarded it to Clint and sent a message to Tony to ask for a meeting later. She would get ahold of Thor as needed but she didn't know what the blond knew and if Loki was trying to hide something from him she wouldn't break it for him. Excusing herself when she saw Clint check the message she left the room.

Tony had noticed Steve and Fandral talking, but hadn’t brought attention to it, just continued on with his breakfast. He was just starting to grow tired of being around everyone when he got a message. Seeing that it was from Natasha, he knew it had to be about what had happened with Steve. He didn’t really react to it, just remaining where he’d settled himself against Loki’s side earlier. When there seemed to be a sufficient lull in the conversation, he stood. “If you’d excuse all of us, Bruce, Loki, and I have some science to do.” He grinned, offering a hand to Loki as he looked to Bruce, who was getting up as well, not questioning or minding Tony’s words. Turning and leading them to the elevator, he pushed a button for the lab, sending a message to Natasha to meet them there.

Loki had relaxed throughout breakfast so much so that he didn't notice as Fandral spoke with Steve. He was content to be pressed against Tony and loosing himself in the man's banter with the others. It seemed that no one knew about his past mishaps so he forgot about it and enjoyed himself feeling as though he belonged. Looking up curiously when Tony spoke about the three of them having work to do, he was surprised because he knew the man had a meeting at the company today. Because of that Loki did not think there would be anytime to dive into a new project. None the less the god took Tony's hand and followed him to the elevator. "Tony?" he questioned when the elevator had closed. "What are we going to work on?"
