Clara frowned deeply and then groaned as she saw the vampires come out of the alley way. She felt herself being dragged along the side walk “ Why does that matter? What good is the hotel going to do us against horde vampires? “ She said pointing out that if they led the vampires there it wasn’t exactly going to do them any good unless they wanted to look sexy for them. She reached for her magic and it snapped loudly like static, then fell silent. That was dangerous for her abilities. Over her shoulder she looked to the six even as they spread out and grinned. Each one had a hallucination of their own, an individualized torture. “ Buying us a little time… This could get ugly” She stated as she turned to look forward again her attention moving sign to sign.

Again she ran from him. Was she not in the same amount of need he was in? Stalking after her Adrien moved out onto the veranda. Seeing her back up towards the stone wall that kept them from being seen by anyone down below. The chase was at an end and she had no where left to go. Finally he would have this woman surrender to him. To whatever this gods forsaken pull this was that made him chase after her like a beast.

Moving quickly he pinned her to the wall with his body, rain drops already beginning to fall as thunder and lightning filled the air. Her beast didn't frighten him, it couldn't or rather wouldn't hurt him. How he knew that he wasn't sure and right now he didn't care. Thinking and rationality could wait for later, right now he had far more important things to do.

Lifting her up and locking his arms around her waist Adrien took control of the situation and crushed his lips over hers, savoring her taste as he took what instinct demanded he take. With this single action one single word finally made it into his brain Mine

"It's not what it seems."

Ishtar at first was reviling in the idea of her body under his, around his. But then his mind went into focus. She wanted him to usurp the King? "So it's not the gold. . ." He said in a soft tone. "You want me to be king?" He frowned softly. Thinking on what she was saying. If he couldn't do it. They'd be dead. But him be King of Torin? Of the Rage demons? "I'm not leaving you to fend for yourself." He said sternly. "But staging a coupe or a revolt will take time."

He trembled when she touched him slow and suggestive like. "I will not leave you, no matter what you try to pull." He opened his mouth to tell her he wasn't prepared to kill the King either when she made the point that the King had threatened her too. Had put the threat on them both. Had rejected all of Ishtar's pleas for mercy. The vampire side in him was seething. Was starting to see the beauty in this wicked Sorceri's words. "Perhaps I should do to him what he's done to us." He thought. "However, once you steal something you spend your whole life fighting to keep it. So we must come at this smart." His hands explored her body too. "We can't just kill him and his wife and be done with it. And I'll need help." He thought about his friends who were solely loyal to him after that incident a few decades ago. Even if the king gave an order they'd wait for him to give the okay before moving out. "But if this is to happen, you are acknowledging that you are mine. No doubts. No take backs. The moment I start to plan, start to gather, you are no longer to deny us. Swear on something that you hold sacred that you will no longer hold fantasies of leaving me, or denying us if it goes south. Or I'll trace you back to Torin dungeons." No you won't. His mind whispered. But hopefully his hard gaze would convince her otherwise.

Sonja nodded her mind trying to work. Trying to assess the details. Trying to figure out how to get out of this. She stopped them near another casino and took a few deep calming breaths.

Gunshots rang out then and people screamed fleeing the roads to head into the buildings for safety. "Right then. Looks like our choice is made for us." She mused as the vampires moved toward them in a circle cutting off retreats. "Ready to lock and load Clara?" She asked pulling out her guns."

Clara was busy sorting through the noise of the streets trying to zero in on the vampires following them by dampening each sound she identified. The gun shots created a new wave of noise that she quickly dampened. She looked Sonja and then the guns. “ Remember what you said to me earlier about staying close? It goes both ways. Otherwise, you might get caught in the cross fire, lets get out of here…I need to get my nails done, I’m craving coffee, and I’m just a little pissed.” She said as she turned to put her back to Sonja’s. She smiled sweetly at the vampires she faced. With that she snapped her fingers directing a wave of high frequency sound towards the three. Blood spurted from the one directly in front of hers ears as his ear drum burst and blood began to trickle from his nose as he fought to stay standing. High frequencies weren’t good for the body, but neither were extremely low ones. Before there was any chance for him to recover she clapped her hands together creating a sonic boom that moved in waves over the three in front of her, it was the big bad version of what she’d dosed Kade with upon their first meeting.

Ishtar frowned softly. "Cammi. I'm part Vampire." He said. "The fact my heart is beating, that I'm breathing, for you, means you're mine. My demon seal will break when I attempt you. My instincts were not vampire in that kitchen. It was the vampire that tore out my Kings heart. But the demon that moved to do it. I want to attempt you to prove this. But I want the vow because I want you to stop denying and start accepting me. Let me prove to you I'm not wrong, give me your vow, and I will prove to you that I am not lying, that I can look after you and provide for you, protect you. Please."

Sonja unloaded her guns into two of the vampires on her side. As she moved to reload the third got her in the face sending her flying. As she flew the vampire grabbed her and threw her to the ground. "Damn." She growled spitting out blood. "That was my shoulder." She dropped her guns and pulled out knives moving faster than him but still taking hits. When she could she helped Clara with her three.
All the feeding off Daven had made the moon affect Sonja. She wasn't understanding why but her anger was increasing. She was usually so calm when she did this. Another slash of claws got her belly. A flash from the past made her snap her teeth and strike out against the Horde Vampire before her burying her weapon in his chest. "Clara," She hissed. "Are you okay there?" She asked finishing off hers. Adrenaline pumped through her. Should she get in the way and help or leave the girl to her own devices?

Clara had her focus on her three vampires and was only marginally aware when Sonja was no longer at her back. The one who’d been taking the brunt of the punishment fired off three rounds one of which grazed her thigh and she hissed. About that time one of the others traced in close big mistake, he went for her hands trying to keep her from using her ability and she fought him, catching an elbow hard across the cheek, her teeth rattled and a bruise immediately started to form even as she sought the resonant frequency of his bones and delivered it. He screamed in agony and released her crumpling to the ground. Another round of fire whizzed past her and she cursed “ I’m making it, one’s down, ones about half way there and well I dunno about the third one. “ she replied using the fallen vampire’s body to shield as bullets rained down on her, they had to reload sometime, when the borage paused she tossed aside the vampire, and narrowed her gaze on the one that had blood running down his face. One more and he’d be down temporarily. This time she used her voice producing a pitch so low it would rattle the bones of his inner ear. She knew the moment it took affect because his balance shifted and he was unable to stand. The third traced to her and wrapped his arms around her from behind, his claws ripped at her forearms as she fought him and finally she stomped her foot. She was done playing, taking a deep breath she opened her mouth and began to sing, words from a language predating known dialects poured from her in harmonized tones and melody that was obviously not human and where the legends of the sirens on the oceans came from. His grip loosened became almost loving, the vampire was enchanted, he had no choice to do as she ordered him “ Release me, dispose of these companions of yours.” She said in clipped tones.

"There is Truth in the madness"

Sonja took a hit to her leg and hissed turning to see, to hear the song and blinked, confused. The music making absolutely no sense to her. "What a nice pet." She purred limping to Clara, watching the man dispose of his buddies. She surveyed Clara. A few bruises a few scrapes. A burn from the first shot. Nothing to major. Kade would only maim her a tiny bit. "How's the baby?" She asked limping over. They'd have to get back to the hotel so she could dig out that rounds in her body. And also get away from all the people and the police that were starting to show up.

Ishtar frowned when she moved from him. "Somewhere safe." He said standing up. The shutters were down now. Day time. "And there won't be any others after me." He said coldly. "Because we'll either be together or dead. Now you want to know the reason for this vow?" He asked leaning over and trapping her. "Because then I won't be worried you'll run off on your own. So I can spend my energy where it's needed. Keeping you safe. Not chasing you through planes wondering if the King will get to you before me, what I'll do if he does and I find your body. You want his head? You want to be safe? Fine. Let me keep you safe then." His eyes were black now and he was panting. his body obviously in need but he was pushing it away from his thoughts to try and make her see. "I get you don't feel any pull to me. That's fine. I don't care, I just want you to accept the situation we're in and accept that I'm probably you're only real chance at not dying." He pulled back. "Now. I'm going to get something to drink. Are you hungry?" His expression was a little wounded her words hurting him more than any other's ever had.

Clara let her hands fall to her sides blood running down her arms and she tilted her head back as Sonja approached. She shrugged “ Ah everything around the core is fine, so the baby is fine. Hope you got some superglue. “ She said lifting her arms to look at the deep gouge marks from the vampire’s claws. He’d tried to hold her and injured her in the process before she’d simply gotten too pissed off to fight fair. When the vampire had finished dealing with the five others he returned to her, intent on tending to her wounds. When he reached to remove his shirt to wrap her arm she held up a hand “ Take my friend and I to the Palazzo” she stated and the vampire reached out to both of them and traced them to an alley way next to the hotel “ My sweet, you are bleeding, let me tend your wounds.” the vampire whined and she tilted her head “ Soon….Sonja can you trace us to our room? Might as well take him he’ll just follow…trust me.”

"It's not what it seems."

Ishtar turned his eyes to her and they grew wide. Trying to seduce him eh? Wait. . . torture? Someone had tortured her? His fangs grew sharp but then she kissed him and he held her tenderly in his arms. He tasted her blood and gave a little noise in pleasure and smiled into the kiss tracing them to the master bedroom. He tenderly removed the head dress and put in on a chair. "I'll make them pay. If I see their faces I'll make them pay." He swore moving down to lick up more blood as he moved them to the bed so he could prove to her that he was telling her the truth.

Sonja frowned at the vampire tempted to take him out. "You do know that if Kade scents him on you, the Lykae will flip out and kill it right?" She pointed out tracing them up to the hotel room, after doing a sweep to make sure that no cameras were watching. Pain motivated her to not miss. She really needed to figure out why she did that.

Once in the hotel room she pulled back from the Horde leech and frowned. "Why do you have that parasite anyway?" She asked. "You've got Kade, you don't need anyone else." She knew without her "Bride" she'd not be healing as fast. Since she actually didn't feed from him before she left. "I'll take us back once our bleeding stops or our men will have a seizure." She added as an after thought. Having now idea about the litter of kittens she'd be having once she got home to hers.

Clara arched a brow at Sonja and shrugged “ He won’t if he’s smart, at least not right away. She said ignoring Sonja’s tone as she ordered the vampire pet to go and collect proper first aid supplies for them. He vanished “ 1. I enchanted him, which means since he didn’t have his bride he’s under my control and he’s pretty much in love with me, he’ll do whatever I tell him. This is one reason I have trouble believing Kade, I could make a million of men that would say and do all the same things including stalk me, 2. Never mistake wanting someone in my life as needing them in it, 3. How else to get the full story on exactly what Scarlett has fallen into? And with who? 4. He’s a tool, you’re supposed to use them” she said the vampire appearing a short moment later with three bags of supplies. He set them on the bed and began removing items " My love, sit let me care for you" He said in an affectionate tone, and Clara simply tilted her head looking at Sonja as if to say 'See'

Sonja frowned. She didn't like this at all. "While I like the reasoning of some of those I despise the reasoning of the first since Lykae can only get their mates knocked up. If you wanted proof then you should have thrown caution to the wind and not asked me to hide you this month." Sonja growled and limped into the bathroom to dig out the bullet in her leg and then her arm. She gave up after twenty minutes and decided to live with the pain in her leg since it was deeper than her arm. Maybe Daven could get it out.

"Clara." Sonja said coming out. "I'm going back home. I'm. . . I'm not clotting fast enough. I don't suppose you could deliver your little urchin back to the Compound on your own? Or would you like me to trace you there?"
