Despite being a 100 meter long craft, hitting a ship moving at 3 kilometers a second tends to be a bit out of a turbolaser's traversal. The Falcon is only capable of around 500 m/sec in the movies. Plus the ship does have shields optimized to deflect laser fire...

I do know my EVE Online ships. This is just a frigate, be glad I didn't bring a Dreadnaught. Now that would be a one-up manship contest.

I'm working on a conversion of the Star Wars Rules for the EVE Online universe btw... That could be a fun change of pace, blasters are much nastier in that universe then in Star Wars. They fire metal super-heated into a plasma state. Talk about burning agony.
