Finally! My mom is back in Mexico. The other houseguests left the day before she did. Just me, the hubby and younger son for now. Older son is setting up his apartment in Florida and coming to grips with the real world... and its expenses. blaugh He's doing pretty good at budgeting everything, though.

Oh, I'm taking a Spanish conversation class. Still doing the basics right now. Instructor is originally from Mexico City and has a thick accent. She's very good and funny. Really has helped me with pronunciation of words. biggrin

Sean is doing volunteer work at the Humane Society (this is his 9th summer) and also volunteering and observing at the vet office next door to it (7th summer for that). His 13 year old Lab has torn a ligament in his knee and is limping very badly. He and the vet are discussing treatment options. Despite his age and injury, the dog is in good health. Waiting to hear what the two of them decide... and if we can afford it.

Probably heading back to Mexico after Sean has left for Athens and vet school. Looking at maybe September. As far as fluency is concerned... rofl I'll be able to get around a little better without the phrase book but still have a long way to go. Biggest problem here is that I have no one here to practice conservation. Sean laughs at my mangled words too much. He's quite fluent.

UGH! Ginger just jumped into my lap! She's big!
