Punchout!! on the Wii is a bit finicky when it comes to getting stars.
Like, every opponent has a stupid little move they do that, if you hit them when they do it, you get a star.
However, if you hit them when they flash red just before they throw a punch, you also get a star, but not every punch works, sometimes you get nothing.
The problem is, you only have a fraction of a second to react, and half the time the game just decides to screw you over, so even if you react at the same moment each time, half the time you're gonna get a glove to the face.
