Tsuki got out of the pool and started walking around the HQ, towel over his shoulder."Been here a year and I didn't know we had a pool." he mumbled, seeing his Charmeleon run past. Oh snap! He turned around and gave chase.
"You little bugger! Back in the ball!" he called out, pressing the button on Charky's Pokeball. The fire type dodged the beam, sticking out his tounge. Luckily Tsuki was wearing his pants, slightly damp from being in the pool, but pants nonetheless because his towel flew off. He hopped along, putting his green shirt on in the process. Oh, just wait til he caught up!

Sub heard Eve's question, nodding at Sol as he mentioned his love of Dark types. "That's one reason, yeah, but there is more to the story." He admitted, letting loose a mild sigh. "Most of you probably know how I once studied as a monk at the Tin Tower. The reason for that was I was an orphan, never knew my parents, I was at the tower for as long as I could remember. The thing of it is however the monks there were taught to disregard all emotion, that things such as love, or hate, would lead a man down to ruin. In order to obtain complete serenity you must abandon all emotion." Sub explained.
"Well, growing up I was always alone since the monks never formed bonds with the students, of course. But as I grew up this one boy came to the tower to learn, and that's when I made my first friend. I was about fourteen or so at that time, he was younger than me though, ten years old at the time. His name was Subbarao, strange name I know but he wasn't from Johto. The story goes he too was orphaned, lost his parents when a tsunami struck his island in the Orange Archipelago, and one of the tower's monks happened to be at the archipelago at the time, on a mission trip, and aided the citizens as they evacuated, finding Subbarao as he was seperated from his parents, later on discovering they had been washed away. With no where else to go and no other relatives to speak of, the monk brought him back to the tower where he became the newest student." Sub said, remorse showing in his face as he recalled the tale.
"Any who, Subbarao was devastated after having lost his parents, and overwhelmed by his new life and the monks' radical teachings. I was able to relate to him however, having no parents or any relatives of my own, so I began to get close to Subbarao. We used to play together late at night, when the monks weren't watching us, you see they didn't allow any type of recreational activity since they believed having fun was a waste of time and sinful. Either way, me and Subbarao got really close, he was like a little brother to me. Whenever he got in trouble and had to go without dinner I would sneak in some food for him, he did the same for me. Me and Subbarao were inseparable..." It was at this point that Sub's eyes began to water.
"Any who...about two years later, on my sixteenth birthday, I was charged with a task as part of my coming of age ceremony, to spend the next four months in the wild with a young Togepi. I was to raise the Pokemon and train it to evolve into a Togetic, it was a task to prove my abilities to be serene and at peace with myself, as Togepi won't evolve with malice near them. Well I eventually completed the task and returned to the tower. I was thrilled and couldn't wait to tell Subbarao about it. When I returned however, I received devastating news. Subbarao was chasing after a little girl's Hoppip in the city, it had gotten away from here and she tried to get it back for her. Well the Hoppip had been blown into the woods by a strong wind and ended up getting stuck in a tree. He climbed up to get the Pokemon, which he did, and dropped it down to the little girl. Unfortunately though the tree he climbed into was a Beedrill nest..." Sub said rubbing his eyes trying not to cry.
"The little girl ran for help but it was too late, the poison already took a toll on him. I was devastated when I heard that he had passed away, my only friend, my little brother was dead, the only person I had in the world and he was gone. I could no longer control my emotions like I was taught, and my teacher scolded me for crying at his funeral. I flew into a rage after that, and that's when I left the tower. I could no longer be part of a group of people who wouldn't let me cry for my little brother. When I left I took only two things, my Murkrow, Nevermore, and a new name...you probably guessed it by now but that's where I got the name Sub from. Subbarao was too hard, and weird to say all the time so I gave him the nickname Sub. When he died however, and I forsook the Tin Tower, I decided that my previous life was over, and a new person was born, the dweller of darkness, Sub." He said with a slight smile, trying to play off the sad story.
"Ship reminds me a lot of him. Actually I almost mistook Ship for Subbarao when I saw Ship in his disguised human form, it looked almost exactly like Subbarao. Even Ship's personality is just like Subbarao, he was very smart for his age too, and very mature. It's almost as if Subbarao still lives, through Ship...so as you can see, I can't help but be attached to Ship, he reminds me of the brother I lost..." And that was the end of Sub's story.

"Ember," Night ordered to Peep. Just in time too, for as soon as the super powered fireballs were released, Nova let out another Bug Buzz. Unfortunately, Night was so focused on Bug Buzz that he never noticed Blizard. Looks like Peep, Tepig, and probably Nova to were in trouble now.
Turning to see the ember didn't help, Night sighed in disappointment. "I thought it would help," Night said defensively to Maia. "Oh well, now's not the time to be fighting. Right now's the time to jump somebody before the fire goes out." Larry was of course talking about the Blaze he was sure Peep & Tepig had by now. If something was to be done, it would be now before Peep and Tepig fall.

"Sad story, bro," Night said, having been standing just outside the kitchen door while Sub told his story, "Explains a lot about you. Though, if it were me, I'd have burned the damn place to the ground long before they forced me into the woods with a puny Togepi."
She grinned as she slowly stalked towards the boy, one hand held suspiciously behind her back, "Though, can't help but notice.... in that long, heart-breaking story you just told. You never did mention your true name, V."
Eve just stared at the boy, her tea slowly becoming cold by the minute. She'd always suspected Sub of having issues, but never really realized just how deep those issues were. After a long moment, only one word was capable of escaping the girl's mouth, ".......wow."

By the time Sub finished his story, sniffling could be heard on the far side of the room. It wouldn't be long before Sub would find a thin pair of arms wrapped around his torso. "That's so sad..."

RCCaughtem "This?" RC asks as he taps his Kiseru. "It's a type of pipe called a Kiseru. It's longer than most and has a smaller bowl than most normal pipes. I may have to add new leaf more often, but if you smoke it right, a small amount goes a long way." RC explains to her. What was this all about? "I see... I'm sorry, I picked up the smoke and was wondering what it is... how are you?" She asked. "I believe you've mentioned your days as a monk once or twice. The reasoning... not so much." Sol started, stopping for Sub to explain everything. He knew to be quiet, as did Ceramew when she came in. She had been wondering where Amaranth had gone... until she started overhearing everything. Out of them, one of them was a little teary-eyed. It wasn't Sol. And though Amaranth only overheard a little of it, some of it was lost on her. Technically being a year old and still getting a grasp on the world might've been factors in why she didn't cry. Ceramew, however, couldn't help herself. If it wasn't finding all of this out, it was the mild synchronization that came from being around Sub. For a moment, it was as if her emotions were tied to his... and all she could do was go to him and hug him. "I...I'm sorry, Sub...""A harsher life than I would have imagined... and possibly one of the clearest looks into your mind I've had." Sol finally said. "It's no wonder you've taken to what you have, let alone everything else."

Ship sat through Sub's story with a renewed mug of tea. It wasn't quite as easy a story to hear as he'd anticipated. So many of the guy's quirks and even the formation of the person began to make sense. Neither this had he anticipated. His eyes were wide, and he had to set his tea down. "I...I see," he said. "That sounds very hard. I'm sorry, Sub. I hadn't realized what it was you saw in me. I..."
He could think of no appropriate way to follow this up.

Darksol88 "I see... I'm sorry, I picked up the smoke and was wondering what it is... how are you?" She asked. RC's keen hearing would allow him to hear Sub's story. Well now, that explained a lot. He then turns his attention back to Amaranth. "No need to apologize. it's not really something that most people see on a daily basis. And I am doing alright, if not growing more and more concerned about this whole meteorite situation." he explains to her.

"Thank you, guys." Sub told the others as he was hugged and offered the condolences of the his fellow team members. "I'm just glad that I'm not alone any more, I have all you guys now, and I'm thankful for that." He said, with his normal goofy smile, his usual self returning. "So like I said, Ship, I apologize if I get a little too weird, sometimes I can't help myself, I'll try and hold back though." He said, taking a sip of his own tea and relaxing in his chair. "And I hate to disappoint you, Night, but I'm not saying my former name. The person with that name died a long time ago." He told the Ninetales hybrid. "But any who, now you guys know a little bit more about me. Why don't we end all this sad stuff though and move onto a more happier topic?"

The now Volcarona began to flap its wings, gaining height with each flap. It soon began to project small embers, putting the Blizzard's chilling winds away from Nova. She began to hover in the air as the BLizzard passed underneath her. Gathering together a mass of flames, a jet of hot air blasted across the battlefield to smash into the Torchic. Volcarona was using Heat wave and was not messing around this time.
Both Reno and Leslie watched Volcarona with awe. the same thought crossed their minds. 'So.......Cool," they thought simultaneously.

"But Loki really wants to hear the dead man's name," Night said pulling her hand from behind her back and tossing the red Skitty onto Sub's head.
Eve, meanwhile, just returned to her, now slightly cold, tea. The girl, honestly, just didn't know what to say after hearing Sub's story.

"Fair enough. Sol's not exactly my original name either, but that's a story for another time." He said. "However, I think Night's name for you is better than what she's taken to calling me."
"Oh, yeah, sure. And dun worry, I'll try to keep pink stuff away from you." Ceramew said, floating back.
"There's been more?" Amaranth sounded a little worried at that development. She already knew a little about it, but even more out there was concerning.

"Dang....." Lykas muttered as he approached. "Heard the whole story, man. That's pretty ~/~ up." He decided as he came to a stop, thinking a bit. "You mind if I go make a lake inside the Tin Tower tonight? I think a few monks need to learn to grow gills."
This was not likely to sit well with Lykas. Evil, heartless monks and dead brothers.....this was like a bad movie come to life.

"I'm glad everything's better for you now," Keiko said, giving the pink-hater some space and drying her eyes. She'd have to collect some new attire if she were to show her face around Sub in the near future. For now, he didn't seem to mind.
"This kinda makes me wish I had some stronger Pokemon. I don't think I could help Lykas damage Tin Tower with these two..."

Darksol88 "There's been more?" Amaranth sounded a little worried at that development. She already knew a little about it, but even more out there was concerning. "Just recently at Mt. Moon, which is quite concerning to me. I thought this was all confined to the Sinnoh region. Now one pops up in Kanto? I can only hope that it's an isolated incident and not a growing trend of more regions getting caught up in all this." RC explains to her, letting out a puff of smoke followed by an exasperated sigh. So much trouble from one thing. He was starting to highly regret his actions that night back in Fallarbor Town.
