Which, if I chose to buy one, would leave me with roughly 8k. Plus, if I tried to sell it in the Marketplace, it would probably have to be sold around 12-13 k to get sold, further depleting my meager gold cache. Money money money. I don't care if it's fake or not, it's still money.

The store price is like 15,555. At that price you won't have a problem selling it in the market place for 15k nice and even. However if your really interested in gaia gold as terms of money than you should realize that letting it sit in your bank is pointless. Let your money work for you and invest.

I purchased 10 coco kitties for 9k each. Their going price is now 10k+. Note investing only works on items that go up in value. Store bought items however can normally be sold around their bought price.

That is how I make a good bulk of my gold. Getting ahold of new items early and waiting several month to a year to sell them.
And to give you a good idea how well that works. Before the Gift Exchange I did I have roughly 1.6 Million gold, spend about 600k on the actual event and since then have made roughly 400k of it back.

Store bought items however can normally be sold around their bought price. You mean you made 100k. 10k means that you only sold one Coco. But I think you must have sold them all. Normally, the items whose price fluxuates in value are donation items. I can only afford to buy one letter whenever it comes out. Any more, and I run the risk of losing more money that gaining. Since donation items always are cheap when the first come out, I have to wait. When you have no money like me, you can't afford to make mistakes.

FogSage You mean you made 100k. 10k means that you only sold one Coco. But I think you must have sold them all.
She bought 10 Cocos for 9k each, speanding 90k all together. Then sold them for 10k each for a total of 100k, but actually only profited 10k.
