No, we don't have a time-limit policy. Although, I wouldn't mind cale's imput on this, because he'll be affected too...

I think we should add said policy.

That would help move this forward.

That would mean killing off old characters. That could lead to problems elsewhere...

No, it would just mean ignoring them. They came too late.
Just missed it all, or just disappeared. Don't have to go around killing off people.

And then they come back, oblivious to the advances in the RP, and everything gets messed up.

Yeah, once a character is left behind in the dust, I'd rather it stays there.

Then let us write up a policy to deal with such situations. Without ifs or buts.

I'm surprised we dont already have one. Thats one of the base policies for Roleplays.

We haven't had a need for it, that's why we never had one. People were more actively responsible for the events, and took roles appropriate to their position.

I think that... this situation is unfair to those of us who are on everyday. I work 40hours a week and take classes and have a social life and I still post. I understand some people have s**t happen in their lives that keep them away, but I should have to suffer because of these events or their complacency.

I say... perhaps a GM posts for them to push them to the side, maybe a sickness or a personal trip or something, then the person regains control of the character when they show up and come back in. And it'll just be like they got home from vacation.

You're not in it, as you've stated before you've dropped out.
And I back Jaden's opinion on the matter. I recently just contacted Ral who had been working six days a week and had his free time taken up by college paperwork.
