So, I had the urge to go out and have some fun of me own, dressing up as johnny blaze and ride the town on the bike. But it turns out that in lieu of this planning of mine, I'm glad i did not. Apparently, there is an ordinance in the city which states anyone over the age of 12 caught trick or treating is slapped with a 1000 dollar fine.
Wow. No wonder why Halloween is no longer fun. The only holiday in America which encourages you to visit your neighbors (and then threaten them with extortion or vandalism) is getting to the point where people can't take a simple bit of a joke. Okay, it sucks that something's ruined. Okay, so people prank your house. And yeah, it's probably some drunk a** doing it all. But are you really making the one night of the year, the one where you should be scared, feel so 'safe' by basically saying it's not encouraging us to at least see everyone be someone else for a night? Are we so sensitive to some random acts of pranking that we have lost the true spirit of "scaring for fun"?

All because some people were complaining that older kids were trick or treating.
Next up: Adults are banned from anything meant for kids, including internet sites like this.
I take it you also heard about the 4-year-old being sued.
