I dunno how Nelo feels about doing an RP again, and I don't see the point in it right now. School's starting soon, if it hasn't already, and that's gonna take away a lot of activity on here for a while.

Maybe if people post here more and stuff and we're all more active, we can try to decide on something. ATM though, it just doesn't seem worthwhile.

Things are pretty slow all over, not just here on Gaia. At least, that's the case for me. All month I've not really gotten much done with any friends besides hanging out on SL and stuff. As for the RPs outside of the guild, I gave up on those years ago. I tried one once, and I even tried to keep spam out by having helpful links to a separete description thread with character profiles, details, etc. I still had random idiots interrupt stuff going, " This looks fun. Can I join? "

It lasted maybe 2 weeks before everyone just dropped out for no reason.

I've created one or two. I just give up when I see ridiculous profiles like, "Mandalorian Jap who knows tai quon do and ju jitsu." I s**t you not, I've had that.

In SWG, I've seen a profile (again, s**t you not) where this chick was a Mandalorian Jedi mom who was a part time bounty hunter. Her character profession? Entertainer. I feel like people try to relate Star Wars to real life things too much, and it just turns out to be crap like that.

Hah, that's hilarious. One of my friends from SWG and I were having a trip down memory lane, and we were talking about pet peeves. I never thought of it until he brought it up, but I also hate when mid RP, people will check their "holo" object. Like, everything in our modern world HAS to be in Star Wars, but with "holo" before it.

I used my holo-golfclub to hit the holo-ball into the 18th holo-hole at the holo-park.

Then I went to the holo-technology park and looked at their holo-holograms.

I suppose we could do an RP; the trick is to getting people to not only stay committed, but understand that RPing is both about playing a character, for better or worse. It involves interaction between people, something we also have been lacking.

Anyways, yeah, that just confirms what I was saying before. People wouldn't stick to it because some would drop out and leave the rest without enough to go on, and everyone's doing their own thing so it's more like different stories rather than any RP.

So it seems this alchemy thing is Gaia's attempt to copy that crafting item thing some other sites are doing.

Also, I hate to bring up the topic again, but what if we do a.. Quick (?) RP story? Something like Death Troopers, or Red Harvest? We could have one objective and RP to the end, like escape. Those books were amazing...
