Odd sat on his bed with the silver egg he'd received earlier in the week sitting in his lap. He had it wrapped up in a thick blanket and was keeping a close watch on it. He thought he'd seen it move and figured it might be time for it to hatch. Now his thoughts were raging with ponderings of what could be inside. "Jeez, the suspense it killing me!" He commented to Replay, who sat on his head.

"I guess I'll have to capture some more Pokemon if I'm ever gonna be reliable," Jules said. He rocked in the chair, arms crossed. Eyes veered to the ceiling. This, of course, was if he found the place interesting enough.
"I'm just worried you'd get too cold in the water. That was definitely ice," Tails explained. "But that means if I worked on it, I could mix up a mud hole around here..."

"For that matter..." I looked over towards Klonoa in the main room. "I take it that you, too, are staying around, right? What about you? I already got an idea on how you may go fisticuffs on someone, but that's about it." "Wouldn't that tire you out?" He asked. He knew, at the very least, Tails needs his own heat too.

Veronica came back from her mission speechless and with a blank face. She let out her pokemon so they could rest alongside her. "Phew, phew.." Her pokemon weren't the only ones in training... Sure, she had studied battling but actually getting out there was quite the task.

As I sat there with Jules for the most part, I heard someone make their way in. I looked over and took notice to someone. Now that I thought about it, I didn't particularly know a lot of the newer ones that showed up before I decided to come in this fight against Cipher. ".....?" Eh well. Apparently that person seemed to be busy...or tired. Must have been something serious she's been through.

Odd popped up in the lounge, Egg in hand again. It wasn't too hard to see he was anxious to see what was inside. "I know you're ready to hatch. I saw you move! I know I did..." He told the Egg as he rubbed it gently. He could almost feel the heartbeat of whatever was inside. Almost. Mostly it was his own imagination making him think he felt a heartbeat when all he really felt was his own footballs reverberating through himself and the egg's shell.

"Mag and Yah are older than than you two are," Klonoa said, producing the two Pokeballs from under his hat. "I've been training them about that long, too. They like spinning."
"...I'll just ignore him. I just have Minsky," Jules answered. "I was never into battling."
Tails' ears drooped. He was strong, but even he tired in his attempts to fight nature. "Yeah. If I were stronger, or a Ninetales, I guess I wouldn't have to worry about that..."

I had the feeling that all he'd be good for would be the fisticuffs. Probably couldn't battle out of a paper bag. God, suddenly I was reminded of Aden. "Well, if you need some help in battling, I could help you out in that regard very much so, if you'd like." I said to Jules. "At any rate-" Instincts tripped and I looked in a direction behind me. "Well it's about time." Quickly I got up and bolted through the main room and out the front door to find the Articuno that I dispatched to Miles days ago. "There you are. I was beginning to worry about you now. Did you find Miles?" "Arrrriii?" "What do you mean 'maybe, maybe not'. Going to leave me in suspense, huh?" I said, taking the canister off his leg and opening it up, hoping there was a new message. "Do you want to go somewhere else then, Tails? I don't want you to get sick or something by trying to keep me warm like that." He said.

There was, in fact, a note there. It was, however, written in a childish scrawl. Miles was childish, but this did not reflect in his thin, looping penmanship. Instead...
Dear Blizz,
I'm sorry your letter couldn't get to Dad. He's gone missing. He told me not to worry, and I don't think I am. But the last thing he told me was there's a problem he thought he should take care of before it grew too big for just one person. I'm sure he'll turn up sometime...
And I asked Swain about the kids. All but Tristen's and one other kid's parents were found. And that other kid has already been adopted by the parents of one of the other victims. Swain said the invitation was extended to Tristen, too. I guess that's up to you and him. And Tails, if Tails ever decided to let him go. And he probably wouldn't. Literally.
I'll write again when Dad comes back, so you don't get worried.
Tell Tails I said hi!
-Mikey
Tails lay back in the snow and laughed. "If I'm careful all the time, you'll never get a chance to act like a big brother," he said.

-MikeyTails lay back in the snow and laughed. "If I'm careful all the time, you'll never get a chance to act like a big brother," he said. I stared at the letter. Well, its good to know that Articuno made it just fine, but no Miles to receive the letter, but instead Mikey. Gone missing...has me wondering for how long. For as all I know, he could have been missing since before I even thought to write the letter...don't worry he says later...yeeaaahhh no. Though I won't act just yet. I stopped myself from reading the letter then looked back at Articuno, stroking its head. "Come on, Articuno. You done real good. Come on back inside." I said, leading the bird in. "Go get some rest, ok?" I said. "Arrrri." The bird replied, padding off for my room. I then looked back down at the letter as I walked towards the dining room once again to meet back up with Jules. Tristen...yea, I think Tristen finally got himself settled with us, and getting Tails to let him go in more ways than one is going to be easier said. Funny though...no mention of what Mikey may have thought about Ein. Not even so much as a slight hint of spite for what hell he put Mikey through that one time. Hmm... I finally sat down back at the table and gave a sigh. The way that Ninetales hybrid and his son works continues to baffle me. Regardless of the case, after Articuno gets a bit of rest, I'll send another message off. "Sorry about that you two." I said to Jules and Klonoa. "Something I've been expecting for a while." Tristen tilted his head in confusion. "I thought I was already." He said. "Is there something I'm doing wrong?"

"Was it Miles?" Klonoa wondered.
Jules had heard about Miles but still, he had little info on the guy.
"Nooo, what I mean is..." Tails paused as he thought about it. "A big brother who's old enough is the one that acts a little like a dad. He watches over his brother when he's really sick, defends his honor, and teases his brother only just enough that I get a little flustered and it's still funny for both of us."

"Well, I was intending for Miles, but apparently I got Mikey, his son, instead." I said to him. "Apparently Miles is out doing something, and either Mikey isn't telling me what it is deliberately, or Miles truly left Mikey in the dark. Either way, Miles apparently told him to not worry, and Mikey turns around and tells me that." I said to Klonoa. "Though regardless of the case, I wonder what's going on." "Oh." Tristen thought for a moment. This was apparently a lot to figure out to say the least. "Ok, well." He looked around then back at Tails. "So you want to try to make it muddy here?"

"Hmm. With that region being the way it is, he could find anything," Klonoa said. "He'll probably be fine. He's over a hundred years old, he's old enough to look after himself."
"How do you old guys not get bored?" Jules wondered.
"Oh, it's simple. You know all the times you're bored? We're excitement vampires."
Jules didn't quite buy this.
"Noooo, you're supposed to tell me not to because I'll get sick," Tails said, and swallowed his grin this time. He was having fun with this dynamic already.

Still does for that matter.
