So I'm guessing you graduated and are looking for a job (possibly a summer job? >.0) and a college or university to join? o.0

But wow that looks beautiful! It would be nice for you to go though, right, just-in-case-ya-never-no, going to an art course could come in handy at one point! But it is your choice. And art doe have nothing to do with being a guide so xP.

OooOOoo that'd be fun if you worked as a rain forest guide in Costa Rica! o: my family went on a tour of the rain forest, the guide showed us so much stuff! haha, thaty's pretty much all I know of guiding. My mom works in tourism though, she helps make brochures (sp?) to promote the NWT, helps making displays and goes out of town quite alot to trade shows promoting the NWT, it sounds pretty fun too.

You could be an artist! It'd be hilarious and cool and weird if you went out and were one of those people I see in the Edmonton mall offering to paint people for free then give them the drawings. But you could be an artist, with a huge gallery and selling paintings and sculptures and the sort.

When I grow up I want to be an author and an artist, but I better think of another job too cuse I don't think those two would exactly pay the bills completely.

Maybe you should just get a quick summer job, like working at quiznos, subway, or being a waitress, that'd be fun, just saving up for money is a good idea, that money could come in handy, and it pays pretty good too, my sister has worked at mc donalds (embarasing though.. xD) for two months and has worked alot, and she's made alot of money too.

I would love to be a artist irl - i love scultping things and a few friends have asked me to do stuff for them - but its not a consistent job apy wise.. At my old work i knew a artist who sold his works for like 4-5k a peice and had his work in gallerys - me and john are going to pose for some picturwes one day which would be cool >_< just photos to then be used a refence >__< but he wwwwwas a cleaner because he needed that bit of pay everyweek >_<

I'm a big fan of the whole 'everything can be used for your own learning and personal growth' thing. So even if I never really planned to become an artist, I'm sure I will be able to use my experiences from that course in whichever job I get. Plus I would have one hell of a year.

Being an artist would be pretty cool though. But like you said, it doesn't really pay the bills. And I enjoy painting and drawing much more when I'm just doing it for me, than if I have to. (Maybe that's why my comissions always take 3 times as long as the freebies of the same quality...?)

Yeah, I am going to have to get some quick summer job. But 'm just so sick of spending all my time doing s**t jobs that I hate! This winter and last year I did it all.. Cleaning lady (in three different places...), painting houses, helping people move... mowing lawns... But at least then I had my motivation, as I was saving up money for my Asia trip.

I think I'm going to try and apply for a job in the art supplies stores in the nearest town. I worked in a place like that a couple of years ago, and I loved it..

You being an author or artist would be really cool! I guess the way both of them get by is by doing comissioned texts/ilustrations once in a while, as opposed to just making the hang-on-the-wall art and full novels.. At least in the beginning, until they get obscenely rich or have to find a different job.

Selling art off DA would be fun! But I'm not sure if I'm good enough.. Besides, I take so long to make my drawings that I doubt it will really be worth it. I mean, lets say I get 15 bucks for a drawing that takes me 15 hours.. Usually I would get that for doing an hours work in any normal job. And then I wouldn't get time to draw as many freebies for you guys. eek

Hmm.. A guy offered to sell my drawings in the gift shop of his photography gallery this winter, but I never really took him up on it. Maybe I should see if he's still interested..

Oh SuiciaL I've written quite a few different types of stories, I've written a few mystery stories I have been proud of, and right now I'm kindofsortof working on this... drama-like story in my spare time, about two teens, running away.

And it's be fun if you atleast tried to make a comic book, Sui!

and I always enjoy drawing the covers on my stories, I hope to also illustrate other peoples novels! It'd be fun! ^^

@Sweetest Desire - Cool n__n I never finish my stories - i did one ages ago but my hdd killed it - it was a few chapters long - probably trhe longest unfinished story i havre ever done. It's cool that you have written a few though ^0^ Illustraiting novels would be cool >__< Maybe i will try and make a comic xD it would give me lots of practise on poses and such C:
