They saw all the people and backed off. For now...
Scott got those of them rested enough to help to give medical attention to the others. He went over to see how Echo was. When he saw that she was asleep, he covered her and went to tend to the others.

Once it looked like everything was under control, Scott went outside in wolf form and slept by the door.
