Matt, putting into motion 8 years of training, twisted so he hit the wall with his feet, then pushed off, uncovering the Aegis, and pulling out his blade. He struck.

((If you haven't read The Titan's Curse, the Aegis can force people back with it's force. It's an artifact of considerable power.))

Matt switched to the defensive. "There are others who could be precious to you! Do not ignore your friends!" He jumped up, then summoned lightning to his blade, then blew it full-force at Mobius. "I have had practice in all forms of combat and the purification rituals! If one is able to bring you to your senses, it's me." He said, "Purifying Strike 32! White Demon Tiger! Hearts Blade!" His blade began to glow white. He held it in front of him, then struck.

((It will go through anything, purifying it. But that leaves a HUGE gap in his defense and takes one heck of a lot of stamina.))

Another effect occurred, unexpected by any. Mobius' arm glowed a bright purple, the colour of his father. In response, the sword glowed white. Both erected barriers, and repelled each other. Mobius was sent flying backward, arm smoking and fritzing with a small electrical charge. He hissed, and said "NO! I SHALL NOT BE ROBBED OF MY PURPOSE! I'VE LOST ONE THING I LOVED, THE ONE I LOVED MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF! I SHALL NOT LOSE ANOTHER!" He shed tears as he spoke.

He parried with one claw and began to attack with the other. Once that was parried he started to claw with both, able to attack with one and defend with the other and switch when necessary. "I NEED NO PURIFICATION! IT IS THE WORLD THAT NEEDS PURIFICATION! THE WORLD TOOK WHAT I VALUED MOST WITH NO CHANCE OF RECOMPENSE! IT SPAT IN MY FACE! THIS WORLD SHALL FACE A BAPTISM BY FIRE AT MY FATHER'S HANDS! AT MY HANDS!"

Tears were streaming down harder on his cheeks. "GRAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Pupils of black appeared in those orbs of red, and he clenched his eyes shut. He began to bang his head against the wall, making loud thudding sounds, blood starting to splatter from his forehead. His torment seemed to spread with his cries of anguish.

From the stairs, Aizen saw. He recently woke up, and did not like what he was seeing. With every hit against the wall, the numbers over Mobius went down. At this rate, he' be dead within the hour. "Hey, man! That ain't right! You better stop the b*****d before he done kill hisself!"

That high-pitched grating sound returned as he expressed his pain. The wall had dented, but more damage was inflicted on Mobius. He was practically spewing blood from every orifice, and his face had swollen and crunched beyond all recognition. He continued to inflict this pain upon himself.

Aizen stood, paralyzed by shock and horror, transfixed by the dreaded sight. e could not look away, or even shut his eyes, for they bore no shutters. He could only look on and gaze on the damned soul before him...

His eyes were human now beneath all the swollen tissue. His hands were indeed hands, and he still shed tears. As the ichor sprayed out of him like a twisted child's notion of a fountain, he spoke softly. "I'll never be free... I am tormented in life and in death... I'll never see my sweet Angelica again... However... I am happy knowng I will atone for m-" He was cut off by his leakage. Aizen finally found the courage to speak.

"Don't check his pulse or anything. I say you he dayd."

Suddenly, a great voice was to be heard, laghing and mocking in tone.

"SON, YOU ARE MINE. YOU SHALL KNOW NO REST AND KNOW NO PEACE FOR DISGRACING ME SO. YOU SHALL BE MADE TO WISH MY SEED NEVER ENTERED THAT WHORE YOU CALL A MOTHER."
