"Sounds fine to me." Sub said as he took out another Dusk Ball. "Let's liven up this dreary battle, this hybrid looking weak and weary. Thing of evil, prophet still, bird or devil, I implore! Quoth the raven, Nevermore!" The trainer cried as he tossed out the device, releasing Nevermore, the Murkrow. "How's that for an opening cry?" Sub laughed as Nevermore appeared, fluttering around in the air in front of her trainer.

"...Edgar Allen Poe is turning in his grave." I said to myself. I started to watch the fight from the moment the first attack was called off, mainly to see how 'o fearless leader' and Night tends to fight in a Pokemon battle. Though, really, I was wondering when such a thing would happen between the two, especially given the whole prank war I have been hearing so much about between the two.

"Yo, Gramps," Night shouted towards Sol while staring at Sub for a long minute, "Think you might have knocked what few screws V had left loose."
Shaking her head at the sadistic words having come from the boy's mouth, Night shifted her focus from Sub to the bird flying above them and smiled. She knew the exact pokemon to use against this one.
Throwing out a simple Lure Ball, Night grinned before flashing a smile up at Sub,"How about some fried bird tonight, Dorkfish? Thunderbolt!"
The large sea serpent appeared with a roar. Eyes searching the arena for his intended target before unleashing the electric attack on the bird.

"Too long." Lykas answered Sub with a laugh. "Catchy but long."
"Oh, so you're really going to let Sub think you don't care about losing?" Odd asked of Night at her response. "Tsk tsk, Night. I figured you'd be being serious. This is a battle for booze after all." Lykas had filled him in in the last few moments on the full details.
"Well, as long as I don't keel over, I'm liking this stuff." Lykas finally responded to Terashi, giving him a far peppier smile than the last one.

"I thought it was classy...maybe I'll shorten it." Sub said in reply with a shrug. He then eyed the massive fish before him and grinned. "That's it? Nevermore has pooped on scarier looking things than that. Nevermore, form a murder." Sub told the bird, who then split into a swarm of Murkrow, making copies of its self with Double Team as a murder of Nevermore began to swarm around Dorkfish, twisting and turning each way. One of the copies disappeared as the Thunderbolt passed through it, obviously not the real Nevermore.

"If that's how you want to play this out then," Night smiled, looking around at the different 'Nevermore' copies, "Fish, let's make it a little cold in here. Blizzard."
As the Gyarados summoned forth the freezing storm, Night laughed at Odd, "Therein lies the fun of it all. It's not fun if there's nothing to risk. I'm taking the battle seriously enough, yes, but without fun what's the point of it all?"

I smirked, chuckling a bit at all the goings on. I was a bit surprised to see Blizzard about, but I didn't really know that much about him to begin with. He tended to keep to himself, though. Healthy attitude, that.
A thought crossed my mind, that seeing Blizzard about was as rare as seeing an Articuno in person. I chuckled a bit more at that thought. Inwardly, of course.
"Keep the bottle," I said to Lykas with a nod. "I'm not expecting to suffer any more headaches in the near future."
Does one ever?

Ms Edyn "If that's how you want to play this out then," Night smiled, looking around at the different 'Nevermore' copies, "Fish, let's make it a little cold in here. Blizzard." As the Gyarados summoned forth the freezing storm, Night laughed at Odd, "Therein lies the fun of it all. It's not fun if there's nothing to risk. I'm taking the battle seriously enough, yes, but without fun what's the point of it all?" This time Nevermore and Sub had the advantage, with Nevermore's evasiveness increased she was able to escape the Blizzard and its low accuracy easily enough, with three of its clones, the rest were caught in it and dispersed so now there were four Nevermore, flapping around over Sub's head. "Really Night, I thought you would be smarter than that. Oh well, your mistake is my gain, Night Shade." It was now obvious what Sub was doing, he was setting Night up as darkness spread out from the Nevermore copies, the room becoming engulfed by it. It was easy to see the other people in the room, including Sub, but as for Nevermore and her copies, they would blend into the darkness, becoming invisible to the naked eye, they now had the advantage.

The hairs on the back of my neck, standing on end. This was something I hadn't felt in a while. Not that I missed the sensation.
Sub favors the Dark type. This was to be expected, I suppose. Better to be sititng on the sidelines than have him as an enemy.
I suddenly hoped dearly that that never happens.

Lucius hears all the racket "I guess its finnaly started I knew this was going to happen." he says to himself still thinking of that golem hoping it wasn't a galaxy club Pokemon why did it attack with such valor and such anger as it was commanded by a trainer "no wild Pokemon would try killing a human." Lucius says to himself still sitting on the couch in the main room.
Lucius then gets up of the couch and heads over to the gym were Sub and night are battling. "Yup I was right." Lucius says to himself watching them battle

"You insult me by your lack of faith in my intelligence" Night said, with a shake of her head, "The Blizzard was merely meant as a means to destroy as many of your bird's copies as possible in a single attack. So instead of fighting a swarm of Murkrow, he only has to focus on four. Increasing his chances of hitting the right bird with his attacks."
"Dorkfish," Night crossed her arms over her chest, staring out into the battlefield, "Avalanche."
Dorkfish stared into the darkness, searching for anything to indicate where the birds were. Finally giving up on seeing anything within the darkness, Dorkfish rushed forward to slam into, what he hoped would be Nevermore, with his attack.

Nevermore had an insane advantage right now, not only was her evasiveness increased, or camouflaged in the darkness (which wouldn't last forever), but she also had a trump card in her ability, Super Luck, she was one lucky girl as the Gyarados just rushed straight through nothing. "Blindly attacking in the darkness won't get you anywhere dear. Now that I have the tactical advantage, it's time I go on the offense, Foul Play." Nevermore would summon a shadowy doppelganger of Dorkfish, copying the fish's strength. The Gyarados clone would slam into Dorkfish as it darted out of the darkness, it would feel like Dorkfish attacked himself, but obviously he didn't. I suppose this was one situation where being physically strong was a bad thing.

Delayed it might be, but Sol shrugged. "I can't loosen what's already absent, I'm afraid." He said to Night, before eating a few popcorn kernels.

"Alright, Fish," Night said softly, attempting to calm the large serpent's rising temper. Especially at feeling as though he'd just been attacked by himself, "Just calm down and listen to my voice. We can and we will win this. Now, this darkness won't last forever, we simply have to go on the defensive and wait it out for a bit."
Turning an annoyed glare back towards his trainer, Dorkfish grumbled softly. Apparently, he was not a fan of defensive strategies, "Now. Let's confuse these birds up a bit with your own Double Team."
Huffing in irritation, Dorkfish slammed his tail on the ground once before doing as Night commanded and formed several copies of himself as well. Needless to say, the multiple Gyarados copies would make the room seem quite cramped.

I studied the battlefield, gauging the possibilites, determining the possible strategies... busy work, basically.
I had to say, though, Sub really had things going for him. For the moment.
I began to wonder, though, just what it would take for Night to gain some momentum in this fight.
