"Indeed, pretty even." Sub replied to Night as Pallas attempted to bail, dodging most of the rocks but eventually getting hit by one, hitting the ground hard as it tumbled backwards. While he had hoped the beast would've hurt its self in its confusion, his plan was still going perfectly. "Now, time to punish this dragon, Punishment!" Sub commanded. The bird would get back up into the air, letting out a screech as it rushed toward, it beak giving off a dark glow as it would deliver a light peck on Tatsu's head. While the peck wasn't very powerful, the resulting affect was as the attack summoned forth the power Tatsu gained from the Flatter, and turned it into wrenching pain for the Charizard.

As I observed the battle and listened to the taunts of the two combatants, I began to wonder what Night was complaining about. That was the third time one of her pokemon attacked under the influence of the Confused status, and not once has any of her pokemon hurt themselves in confusion.
Nevertheless, I had to give it to Sub. Using Tatsu's newfound strength against it. Clever.

Reno just kept Kairi's head close as he felt her weeping. There was nothing else he could do at this point, but he remained there for comfort. staring down at her as she stared back, Reno knew that this was his home. Next to Kairi, Leslie at their feet or between them, and Dante next to them. The couple, their pseudo child and the crazy uncle who will most likely spoil her. Feeling her lips press against his, he pressed back, trying to beat her out. This was the life for him. This is what he wanted. But just this would be boring, which is why Snagem appealed so much. It let Reno have a little excitement in his life.
Leslie led Dante out to the main lobby before picking up the sounds of battle. Noticing a severe lack of her intended peoples, she rushed to the battle, dragging Dante along behind her. Pulling into the arena, she watched as Night and Sub faced each other down, fighting like hell had just spat them out. Pointing at the male on the field, she whispered to Dante, "That's Sub. He's our leader here."

"Well this isn't good," Night said, flinching slightly as Tatsu fell back from the Punishment Pallas inflicted on him. Returning the Charizard to his pokeball, Night immediately tossed out another.
"It's time for a bit of mischief. Wouldn't you agree, Loki?"
The shiny Skitty appeared with a small smile as his eyes immediately found Sub. Though, despite the little trouble-maker's strong desire to 'play' with the boy across the field.
Though, he would get his chance just as soon as this battle ended. Hearing the soft 'Ice Beam' command from Night, Loki trained his gaze on the large bird flying above him before sending the cold attack through the air towards it.

Sub twitched as he witness the kitten appear from its ball, oh how he hated that cat, but none the less, he had a battle to finish. "Pallas, Faint Attack!" He commanded. The bird would fade away as the Ice Beam whizzed through thin air, Pallas soon reappearing behind Loki, pecking away at the tiny cat.

"Aww, what's the matter, V? You don't look happy to see my little kitty," Night taunted as she turned towards the Skitty with a commanding voice, "Loki, Shock Wave."
Loki turned around at the annoying pecking, hissing furiously at the bird before hitting it with the small jolt of electricity.

"You know I can't stand that damn cat." Sub growled as he stared at the Skitty, watching his bird take the jolt, which was just enough to finally ground it as the vulture hit the ground. "Don't worry, Pallas, we'll get revenge on that demon cat." Sub said as he recalled the bird, pocketing the Dusk Ball and taking out yet another. "Time for my knight in shining armor to slay this devil before me. Come on out, Allan!" He cried as he tossed out the Dusk Ball, releasing Allan, the Bisharp, and being a Steel type, he too was unaffected by the persisting sandstorm.
"Rock Tomb!" Bisharp stood tall as he appeared, a blank stare on his face as he stared down his foe, stomping one foot on the ground as it summoned forth four pillars of rock around Loki, attempting to close it in a rocky prison.

As I watched the fight, I began to wonder how much longer the Sandstorm would last. It had been a while now since Monstressor whipped it up.
Back in my room, Samurai had broken out of his Pokeball and left, deciding to explore Snagem HQ. It actually didn't take him long to find the main lobby, which seemed a bit empty.

As it happened, Chinami was in the main room, apparently watching TV. From the looks of it, she'd found a sword fighting competition on one of the sporting channels and was watching it. Spotting Samurai come in, she waved peaceably. "Dew dewott, dew wott dewott dew." [Hey there, haven't see you in a while.] She greeted, offering a small, if tired looking smile. TerashiLeonGoken "It has been a while, hasn't it?" I asked, having not battled Odd since Striation. He didn't even take me seriously in that fight. But then, I was just starting out back then... Odd nodded. "It has. I know you've gotten to be a lot better trainer since then and I'd kinda like to see how good you are now." He admitted with a mischievous smile. He knew Terashi didn't handle Ghosts too well and he was kind of hoping that if he could entice him to a few battles, he might be able to overcome that. Ghosts were awesome, after all.

"Aw, but he likes you," Night said, treating Sub to one of her 'innocent' smiles as she watched Loki run around, trying to avoid the rocks attempting to trap him.
He'd managed to escape the trappings, but failed to escape completely unscathed as one of the rocks grazed Loki's side enough to send him skidding across the field, "Loki, Mud Bomb."
Loki unsteadily rolled to his feet, it was pretty clear the little cat was on his last legs. If the Bisharp's next attack didn't take him out, the sandstorm surely would. Panting softly, Loki formed a large ball of mud between his paws before flinging it towards Allan.

Sub was thankful that Sand Stream set up a semi-permanent sandstorm, it would persist until something else changed it or removed it, so until then he enjoyed the benefits. "Well I don't like it, not one bit. Allan, Night Slash!" Sub said to Night, and commanded his Pokemon. The Bisharp would kick off the ground, flying straight for the incoming Mud Bomb as its twin arm blades gave off a dark glow. Allan would slash through the ball of mud with one blade, continuing forward as some of the mud splattered on his steel body harming him.
The Bisharp would make it to the Skitty and slash with his other blade, connecting with the Night Slash attack as planned.

"Aw, poor, Loki," Night said, recalling the fallen cat to his pokeball, "V, I think he might need to sleep off his injuries in your bed tonight.
Laughing lightly, she pulled free her final pokeball, "Alright, Allegro. Let's use this thing's weight against it. Low Kick!"
Once free from the confines of his pokeball, the Floatzel rushed towards the Bisharp, throwing his leg out and attempting to sweep the pokemon's feet out from under him.

The battle was getting heated. Both trainers were running short of pokemon and it seemed like they were starting to throw caution and tactics to the wind. It was interesting to see the effects of desperation on a battle.
Samurai, however, had his own concerns. "Shaa... Osha wott. Shaa, osha oshawott? Osha sha oshawott oshaa." (Yeah... It has been. Uh... you okay? You look a little worn out...)

"I don't think so, unless you want that thing to hang from a tree outside by its tail." Sub scowled. "Allan, give it a task of its own medicine, Metal Burst!" Allan would stand firm as the Floatzel came out it and swept his feet out from underneath him, releasing a bright flash of light as it did, delivering upon Floatzel the same pain it felt, twice as bad.
Allan though wouldn't survive the Low Kick as he hit the ground, knocked out from the attack. Sub would recall his Pokemon back to the ball and prepared to release his final one. "It's time we ended this, don't you think, Night? Auguste, let's wrap this one up!" He cried out as he tossed his final Dusk Ball onto the field, releasing his Krookodile, who let out a fierce roar, stomping on the ground.
Allegro might feel a sense of fear overcome him as Auguste's Intimidate activated, lowering the opposing Pokemon's attack. "Earthquake!" Auguste let out another roar, stomping on the ground again, but much harder as the room began to shake violently. Others could easily feel the Earthquake through out the building, and perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to use such a move inside of a mountain.

"Gonna have to try better than that, V," Night said, crossing her arms as Allegro simply brushed off the Bisharp's attack. However, he couldn't stand up much to the Earthquake as it easily knocked the weasel to his knees.
Standing, though a little shakily, to his feet, Allegro shook off the attack, and stared down the Krookodile, "Are you seriously trying to kill us all, V?" Night asked, having been knocked to the ground herself by the shaking room. "Allegro, take out this overgrown reptile. Scald."
Lowering himself to all fours, Allegro took a deep breath before a stream of boiling hot water erupted from his mouth towards the Krookodile.
