As Terashi would begin to climb the mountain he might find that the normally robust Pokemon life was gone. He could almost feel they were still there, alive and well, but hiding, the blast must have scared them. Should he continue, about half a mile up the mountain, he would find a medium sized ledge that jetted out from the side of the mountain, flat land with a smoldering crater at its center. Smoke from the crater rose high into the air, which said air felt heavy, almost difficult to breath in.
The land around the crater was also...different, almost warped as the color of the surrounding rocks were far different than the surrounding soil, more darker, with a different hue. "Whatcha think? It's a beautiful sight, isn't it?" Sub would say as he sat on another, smaller ledge that hung over the larger one with the crater. as Terashi arrived.

I stared at the crater, then at Sub. At first, I was surprised, but then I started to realize something.
"Did you do this?" I asked Sub.

Dante just stared at Reno for a moment, blinking a couple of times. "Wait... she wears bandages? She wasn't wearing them when I met her," he said, his head tilting slightly, recalling the rather rude introduction from before. But it seemed that he wasn't about to get an answer to his question as Leslie popped in, causing Dante to squeal and grab her after Reno had moved the girl off of him. Although Dante was short, and not all that strong, he managed to lift the girl into the air and twirl her around with him. Knowing that he'd likely get a couple odd looks in his direction, he stopped with his twirling, his face a bright red. "I'm sorry, I just can't get over how adorable you are," he said to Leslie, still holding her.
Hearing Reno's question caused Dante to nearly squeal again. "You mean the Gothita? I love her!! She's just so cute and has the greatest sense of fashion for such a little Pokemon, and..." Dante would ramble on for a couple minutes before moving to grab the Fixation Pokemon's pokeball from it's place on his belt. When he couldn't find it, he shut up right away. "Uh oh... I must of dropped her ball when I got knocked over. I seriously hope little Victoria hasn't wandered to far..." he said, his voice sounding nervous. He assumed that when the pokeball fell, the Gothita had likely gotten released. And he would be right, because not 2 minutes later, a scream could be heard coming from Kairi's room.
The small Pokemon sat on the floor, just staring at Kairi, making the red-head just a tad nervous. She didn't move, too creeped out by the fact that this Gothita was just staring at her, not blinking. Kairi was pressed up against the wall, the Houndour plushie that she had been holding had fallen onto the floor when she jumped back in her shock at seeing the Gothita in her room, which must have slipped in just before she closed the door.

TerashiLeonGoken I stared at the crater, then at Sub. At first, I was surprised, but then I started to realize something. "Did you do this?" I asked Sub. Sub gave a huge grin as Terashi questioned him, he was barely able to contain his joy as he spoke, his lips parting into a grin occasionally as he did. "Yes! It was magnificent really! Such fleeting beauty! Man I love a good explosion! And on top of it all, the test went off without a hitch!" He cackled.

I facepalmed. The word 'test' echoed in my mind. "What did you do?" I asked him?

"Well, you got me to thinking." He would jump down from the ledge after he finished his sentence, land on his feet and throwing his arms in the air as he posed. "Ta da! Any who...the meteorite, RC and his Pokemon originally shattered the whole meteor into tiny pieces when the Hexagon Brothers tried pulling it down to the Earth, well, did pull it down. So, if the meteor was capable of being shattered once before, why can't we destroy it completely? I know I said that thing about destroyed crystallized chi before, but then I realized something."
Sub would then make his way over to the smoldering crater, looking down into it with a smile. "I wanted to test my theory on chi fission, if such a thing was truly possible. What you see here, is the result of taking just a tiny bit of Normal Gem and refining it, and converting into a bomb no bigger than a Pokeball. That baby incinerated everything around it, and seemed to warp the land in the process...no sure on the drawbacks of such destruction, but I did learn one thing, or at least, drew a new idea from the results."
The trainer would then turn back to face Terashi, a much serious look on his face. "What if we arm the meteorite in a similar fashion, and just blow it up? Use it to fashion a bomb out of, put it some place remote, and blow it to smithereens! As you see here, there is no trace of the bomb nor the Normal Gem, it's completely eradicated. If we did that with the meteorite, no one would ever again be able to get their hands on it." He explained.

"Setting all of Mt. Silver on fire for one." Krystal offered in a sarcastic offer as she had followed Terashi without really saying anything. What was there to say? Really nothing so she hadn't said anything. "But what about the Pokemon that could possibly be hurt or even killed in the blast? If it incinerated everything, whats saying that we don't end up doing more harm than good?" Valid questions in Krystal's mind.

"Krystal has a point," I said, gesturing to the beautiful maiden. "You're the one who said this sort of thing is too dangerous. What made you change your mind?"

"Oh don't get me wrong, this test was relatively contained, I affixed a chi converter to it, in order to expel excess chi back into the air to dull the explosion, also this location, as you see, is relatively remote. Regardless, you are correct, chi fission is highly dangerous, and unstable. That said, I got to thinking. Even if we locked up the meteorites and stored them away, what happens after we leave this world? What if the future generation stumble upon it yet again and are unable to contain it? We need to find a more permanent solution, even if storing them away solves the problem for us now, it won't for the future." He explained.

Reno gave a small cringe at Kairi's scream, already knowing something bad had happened. Ignoring the explosion and letting Terashi investigate it, Reno walked over to Kairi's room before knocking on the door. "Kairi? Is there somethin' wrong?" Reno asked before he opened the door to find Kairi curled up in a ball, with her Houndour plushie on the ground nearby staring down......Victoria? Walking over to the Gothita and picking it up, Reno looked down at Kairi.
"So why are ya panicking at the site a this lil guy? She's cute and its not too scary. Somethin' wrong?" Reno questioned Kairi, staring down at her. This was such an odd thing to be scared by, but who knows what had happened? Maybe she had a little fear of the sudden appearance?
Leslie looked to Dante before asking, "So whose Victoria? Do you have another cutie like me hidden somewhere? Should I be jealous?" She wasn't scared or mad or anything at this, she was just attempting to fluster Dante. She got spun around like a top, it was payback time to the admittedly awesome guy who was related to Reno.

I rubbed my chin and closed my eyes in thought. So, he was thinking after all. That's good.
I looked up at Sub and nodded. "Right. Let's just be careful not to ruin the chi of any locations or anything like that. I'd hate to solve our problem by causing a different one."

RC lands right next to Sub. "This is either brilliance or madness...or a combination of both. Yet you are right: they have to be destroyed. the are a curse to all that touch them." the dragon says and sighs. This was not the best plan, but it was the only viable one.

Krystal nodded at Sub's explanation. He had just as many valid points as she did though both options definitely left something to be desired, destroying the meteorite might be the best if only by a very small margin sliver.
"Do you think there would be a way to lock it up so no one could discover it? Maybe we could bury it somewhere in HQ or somewhere else in the mountain? Not very many people dare come further than this and I doubt any of the Pokemon around here could do anything with it." However, there really was no guarantee that the proposed idea would even work.

"There is a touch of madness in all brilliance my good man." Sub said to the hybrid as he arrived. "And I know, Terashi. It's not my intention to harm any Pokemon, people, nor location. Also, Krystal, the meteorite seems to draw people and Pokemon to them, corrupting them. While I have prepared a lockbo out of Dark Gem to prevent it from drawing any one or any Pokemon to it, the dark energy of the gem won't last forever. Sure, it would probably last long past our lives, but it will not live forever. Eventually the chi would weaken and its influence escape, a wild Pokemon could then find it and chaos starts all over again."

Or will this area be safe from here on out?" he asks the young man.
