So I filled out the form at Tradr Joes, took it to the guy up front, who glanced over it, it went like this:

Him: "Hmm, see you prefer early morning"
Me: "yeah"
Him: "first job, eh?"
Me: "yeah:
Him: Hmm...."How old are you?"
Me: "19"..I guess I should have said 20, but I was nervous. Or at least mentioned I would be 20 in June.
Him: Glances a bit more, folds it, "Well, we just hired some people, but we're always looking for good people, so, thanks"

Probably the reply everybody gets, noncommittal.

In any event, I suppose I'll check back in a while.....see if they considered my application or whatever..

If I dont get the job, I'll apply at a bunch of places in town, so I get a job somewhere. Theres the upscale grocery, a upscale nursery, a nice pet store "Pet Express", Starbucks, Peets Coffee, Quizno's, Longs Drug, and a few other places.

EXCUSE me? Dose that strike you in the LEAST bit as FUNNY?! Not only is it stressful on us - we didn't know it was comming and didn't have the means to take care of them on such short notice- its a HUGE investment for the female, and to be wasted would be stupid. I can't even see how that might be funny-at ALL. This is also a representation of our FUTURE! You've got NO IDEA how much this means to us- we'll be breeding these guys-how well is that going to bode if these don't survive?

I don't appreciate your joke.

Easy there, girl...I'm sure he didn't mean any ACTUAL harm by it...I think it's sweet that you've got so many little ones coming, and I wish you the best of luck in taking care of them! My mom went through little surprises like that when we had birds. Might not be the same by comparison, but she had to raise the chicks by herself since the parents seemed oh-so-ready to lay the eggs, but didn't have the slightest interest in actually raising the hatchlings.... neutral And when they DO hatch, be sure to take lots of pictures!! I don't think I've ever seen a baby reptile (except for the baby turtles we rescued from my grandparents and made them into pets...(they were the cutest little turtles too!!)

Feline, I'm jealous...I wish I had THAT many options in terms of job-hunting....it seems no one's hiring in my town. *sigh* I DID apply to a vet, but I haven't heard back yet, so I guess either they filled the position already or I'm not quite what they're looking for. confused

Manda wants employment so bad right now!!!! She's getting sick of spending her days doing puzzles and video games...... crying

I don't know if they'll survive-they're incubator tipped over, and they very well could be dead now.

We're having a really tough time. The temperatures keep going up and down so much. They're low, then too high! It's hard to keep the temperature even without that damn incubator. e.e; Our homemade bullshit isn't going to save any reptile eggs.

I need help from a computer person...particularly:

Is there anyone that can program a database for Access?

Yay for eggies! Good luck you two, I hope you have more luck breeding and raising reptiles than I had in my younger years trying to breed insects, mainly grasshoppers. I mean come on they are bugs, they reproduce like, well... bugs and yet I never got a successful hatching of even one solitary baby grasshopper. It's like insects see me and go sterile. ;__;

I only ever had one insect produce babies for me, and that was my first praying mantis, Praye. When I caught her walking around at a horseshow, she was already pregnant. She went on to lay me three eggcases that all hatched. I didn't think there was a flying leap at the moon with a pogo stick chance that they would at the time. When I heard the little pittering of mantis babies crashing into the cage floor, I looked up and saw what I thought was a swarm of ants eating my egg cases. I rushed over, and low in behold they were specks with claws. heart

No wonder I fell in love with the mantis species. (Bows to the greatness that was Praye (or as mom called her, Cleopatra).

Anyways, seeing as I have already gone of on a mantis tangent, I'm proud to announce two nights ago Spook shed for his third time. He is becoming such a big, dorky little bug. He is easily the strangest looking insect I have ever kept. In fact, it is his strange look that I think makes these mantises safe to keep together without cannablizing. They probably crawl up to one another and freak eachother out. I can see it now, two mantises meet, tummies rumbling. They look at one another, staring at the leaf looking butt, white eyes, and pointy shape protruding from the others head. All of a sudden, there is a twitching of butts, and a funny dance of imaginary hulla hooping. Both mantises then turn, fleeing from the horror that is another one of their species. XD

=DDDDDD I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW.

Well, I got my $110 shoes, my shorts, and my Danny Phantom shirt stolen (the day I decided to wear it in public to track practice...maybe it's a sign.)

BUT my friend won a pair of "tune your run" Nike/ipod shoes for discuss and shot put at an invitational. These being her events, she doesn't need running shoes, so she said I COULD HAVE THEM! I wonder if they come with the nano? We're picking them up Saturday. =DDD

And, today I got 16.75 seconds in the 100 H race, (1st place), second place in the 300H race, and...

I FINALLY beat my nemesis at high jump. We both jumped 5', but she had more misses than me. PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =DDDDD

It's interesting when talking to a new recuit of the army. This particular one, Silver, convinced that the only people who come back with psychological problems are "only those who can't hack it". Also that psychologists are only there for "only the women who can't handle it". He also doesn't believe me when I told him that if he goes to a war and comes back alive, that he's going to have fun with psychologists.

Oh, in other news, my back is in pain after I visited the physiotherapist. My upper spine is curved more than it should so I should be going back to see him next friday. Until then I'm having to do exercises to help my shoulders.

One last thing, I'm going to be very busy this weekend. I have 3 engineering drawings to complete, and several questions to do. Also I've been told I'm helping do my father's tax filing or something like that.

I will never go into the armed forces. It's all set up in the form of a giant competition, and those who don't succeed are left behind.

To hell with that. I'd rather work at McDonalds.

Ugh...Had to wake up at 4:00 A.M because my Dog was having a huge problem. Shaking on the ground, and drooling...Had her taken to the Vet this morning since I'm unable to drive, and do live with my mother. Thank the Fictional-God that my Vet does give out Free-Service for people.
