Trigram Attic "So he evolved when you were out on your battle trip?" Tails asked. "I'm kinda surprised a Riolu could do that well there. No offense, Riolu. Um. Lucario. I don't think I could have lasted long against the Pokemon I read about there. Especially if..." Tails' eyes fell on the Porygon Z who for a change wasn't drifting through the air. "Is Z okay?" "He's fine now..." "Raaa?" "Porrryyy..." "Lets just say that I'm not the only one who has unexpected run-ins with Legendary Pokemon. Apparently the Frontier Brain of the Battle Tower had a Latios." "Oh! I know that one!" Tristen said. "I saw it in the device! Wait. Are they allowed to do that? Use Pokemon so powerful against other people?" Tristen asked. To him it didn't see fair at all. "If they so happened to managed to capture a Legendary and is able to train it like any other Pokemon, then, well, yes...nothing in the rule book against it." I said. "Why isn't it?" "Well for starters, legendary Pokemon they may be, but as you should even know, they aren't invincible. Secondly, capturing them are so rare, its not too much of a concern anyhow." I said. "Oh..." Lucario sat up from the chair then went up towards me. "Raaaa..." He looked up towards Porygon-Z. "Raa?" "Porrry pory." "Heh, alright." I handed over Porygon-Z to Lucario, Lucario then took Porygon-Z over back to the couch, sitting next to Tails once again. "I swear, those two really fought hard in that place. Same with Sigilyph. And I can see where you were coming from Tails...I can't really blame you for saying that. Even Freth thought I was insane for sending...well, for the most part, an inexperienced team in a place so brutal. But...well, you see the end result after all. They were pretty banged up, but in the end, we reached the end of the series of trainers that we fought and ended up coming to a draw against the one who runs the Battle Tower." "Pory." It spoke, a bit of cheerful pride. Not many trained Pokemon can say they stood toe to toe with a legendary like that. "Raaa."

Tails sat straighter on the couch. He'd known Blizz and Miles long enough to know that legendary types weren't nothing to mess with, and still with a fledgling team, Blizz was able to fight to a draw. It was tough even to run those events through his mind. "Wow, guys," he said. "That's really awesome. Me and my Pokemon, we just couldn't do that. But when it comes to roughing it outside, I don't think anyone could beat us. It's alright to not really like battling...right?"

If Tails didn't want to be in the competitive spirit in that nature, then that was fine. "Some people are like that for whatever their reasons; which are usually understandable." "Why not?" Tristen asked. "Oh various reasons. Some people don't feel good calling out orders to Pokemon at the drop of a dime, some people, usually the absolute extremists, call competitive battling on the abusive side, despite most of the time, a Pokemon wants to battle to test itself, to get stronger itself in one light or another, which sometimes ties into just simply survival or for the fun of it." I said. "Raa." Lucario spoke up in agreement. "I guess, in other words, its not for everyone." I said.

"As long as the Pokemon wants to battle for itself or its trainer, I don't see anything wrong with it," Tails added. "Weavile likes competition, though. Not Muk or Castform. Muk's like a lazy, clingy Arcanine, and Castform likes exploring. And I like exploring, too." His gaze turned to Tristen. "Tristen, do you ever think about battling?"

Tristen told Tails. "But I try to be open for almost anything right now, I guess. People have to be pretty crafty to win a Pokemon battle sometimes; kinda like how people like you, me, or Blizz fight. Also, seeing the many Pokemon and seeing what they can do is neat. So many Pokemon, so many things that each of them can do..." I crossed my arms, giving a slight laugh. "Spoken like a true trainer." "Well...maybe..." he said, rubbing the back of his head. "But I don't think I wanna center my life around Pokemon battling, though. It seems fun and all, but...well..." "I think I know where you are going with that." I said. "There's got to be more to this world than just that, right?" "Yea." He said.

Youko Kenshi Was he going to ask why Hawk was standing on a chair and dumping delicacies on the table? Normally, no but this time he figured, why not? "Ok Hawk, what's with all the cupcakes?" he asked, taking a sip from the water bottle. Hawk looked over at Dan once he spoke. His eyebrows rose slightly, as if he was trying to figure that out as well. "Uhm.... I stopped by this bakery I like and bought too many. I figured a baker's dozen was like... what the baker took as a snack during work. So like... one or two! Buuut turns out it's like thirteen or something." As Hawk spoke, he continued dumping cupcake sized boxes onto the table. Every single box was pink, but the cupcakes were not! especially the ones that fell out of the boxes and splattered icing onto the table. "Fat bakers..." Hawk muttered under his breath. Once the cupcakes were "on" the table, Hawk looked at Dan. "So, how've you been? I haven't heard from you in a while."

Sub would finally arrive back at HQ, having spent several days at the Battle Frontier, causing a bit of mischief. The trainer couldn't wait to hear the 'good' news concerning Steven and a certain stolen artifact. "Oh this is going to be good." He said in a cheery voice.

Despite the pain in the front of his body, he couldn't help but snicker! "Assassins?! I think we've been infiltrated!" He shouted.

The seriousness of his face was slowly losing verisimilitude. "Yes. There was a weird man wearing all white robes. He had on gloves and a knife instead of a middle finger.... he put all these cupcakes on the table and shoved me over. I think he's in the fridge."

How Hawk thought a Baker's Dozen was like two baffled him. Perhaps you needed Hawk Logic to fully understand. "You're not going to eat all of these are you?" Dan asked him. He asked partly becaused it could make him sick but mostly because he wanted one. What was one cupcake from twelve? As Sub entered and was assaulted with his nemesis, Dan let out a snicker. He quickly composed himself as he entered the kitchen. "Yeah...that'd explain what I saw in the fridge" the teen agreed, going along with Hawk's joke.

"A man in white, in the fridge..." Sub said, cocking an eyebrow at Hawk, then taking notice of Dan, and his confirmation of Hawk's information. "Well then, I suppose I should destroy all cupcakes in this building, they could all be laced with poison."
