Jack smiled, then threw a lighter under the teachers desk. He laughed as it caught.

The wood of the desk began to char and smoke. A pungent smell invaded the air. As quickly as all of this had happened, though, things were restored. The desk stood impeccable once more.

Jack scowled and didn't use a lighter this time, he threw a match. Don't you dare... He silently thought.

A small, dewy leaf glided in through an open window and doused the flame.

He gritted his teeth, but relaxed and started his own flame, a magic one that couldn't be put out until he wanted it to.

[I'm wondering if, perhaps, I should make this power over herbs belong to another just to have been misleading... I think, perhaps, I shall, for it will create some reason for characters to actually speak to one another. Dearest Kilikrox, you've changed your player's name... Or do you have more than one?]

He sighed and walked over to the flame. He surrounded it, actually lifting off of the teacher's desk somehow. It sat there, floating in his chest like some weird nightlight. "Ummmm... vhere should I be puttink zis?"

Rosalind stopped humming and pointed, eyes still closed, directly at Jack's desk.
