Ok, we have 2 Ratris people!
I think you understood me wrong, I was saying that people who understand Arabic perfectly should be the one explaining what those verses mean, because sometimes even the translator doesn't understand what the verse means. And they can't seem to understand that using a simple english is the most correct way to do it. Using complicated english is just going to lead somebody not understanding the correct meaning. So I think, if you need to learn about something, ask someone who really knows about it.

rofl
why can't i just get a decent translation in english for the Koran recommended by a Muslim?
I'm not going to go learn Arabic just so I can read a book. It would be like saying you would have to learn Hebrew so you can study the Torah. Or Chinese to study confucious and Daoism and Hindi so you can study Verdas.

I know, that's what you should probably do. I quote translations from this site: http://www.harunyahya.com/Quran_translation/Quran_translation_index.phpBut, if you don't understand anything from it, I strongly advice you to ask someone else. It's not my fault if you find anything wrong! Don't blame me! I like to be careful in these kind of issues, because if the translator was mistaken, then, it's like you're lying about Quran, it's a huge deal! I'm just helping you. And I recommend to ask other members about other sites.

Look at the medical quotes that Ratri posted. If you take that literally, then you HAVE to accept that where the Koran states sperm is from...it's there, when in reality it isn't. Or what about just comparing 6 vs 2 days/periods? I'm just basing this off of previous posts that I have read.

And I can't visit Ratri's sites, because they're too long and I barely have time to answer on this guild. And the 6 vs 2, it's 6, Quran said it was 6, then it was 6! Do not argue please! The time in here is like 12:48 AM and I'm so sleepy, I'll answer everything tomorrow morning. biggrin Good night!

Alsalam Alaykum Firstly It is important to remember that the words ‘yaum’ and ‘ayyam’ (day and days) are not used in the Qur’an always to mean a 24-hour period. The day could be as long as 1000 years (Al-Hajj 22:47) or 50,000 years (Al-Ma`arij 70:4) or more.
We should not say that Allah created the Heavens and the Earth in 6 X 24 Hours. Only Allah knows the length of the days of His creation. However, there is a Divine wisdom in mentioning 6 days and this, it seems to us, to indicate order and gradation in the creation. It also points to the power of Allah as well as His Mercy that He gave His creation this time. Everyday of the week we should thank Allah and at the end of the week we should express even more thanks and plan for the next week.
and These six days may be referring to six spans of time that are known to Almighty Allah alone or six periods that has nothing to do with the solar system or to six stages that has elapsed and with whose length we are not acquainted. Wasalam ~ ~

How about we actually stay on topic, people and discuss the original post and subjects pertaining to the subject?
ANYHOW, my question is this: If a woman is raped, would the baby still belong to her? Especially if the rapist was a Muslim? I've heard all sorts of stories concerning Muslim males stealing the kids from women and whatnot, and I wanted to sort out fact from fiction.
