Well, My fursona's name is Tavi. (Short for Tavia Teall.) >w< I stumbled upon it one day while looking through an old photo book. Inside were many pictures of my family from way back, And because it was so old, I found a lot of old fashioned names written on the back of some of the photos. "Tavia" was one of them. I fell in love with it right away.

As for how I got the last name... I just thought it went with Tavia well. >w< Sorry that it's such a boring story, But... It's true.

Thanks for listening to me, Guys!

Is it so unheard of to use ones own name for their fursona? I don't really have a fursona but, I believe in shamanism, and the animalistic nature of human existence. So I like what furries stand for, but I can't really see myself as one animal, so I have yet to name "my" fursona. But I'm curious if anyone is so closely associated with their fursona that they use their own name for their "other self".

Sounds to me like more of a Therian thing than a furry thing. :3

Someone else could explain it in more detail, but the quick and short explanation is those that believe they possess the soul of some other animal or mythical being. They they are reincarnations of these beings that got trapped in human bodies.

Actually I just did some independent research on my own. I see that it ties in a lot with shamanism and the belief of being able to tap into the animal spirit, or emulation of some animalistic quality. It has to do with myth of people who transform into animals, and all kinds of crazyness. Sounds like stuff I'm somewhat familiar with. But that still doesn't answer my question concerning if people just use the same name for their fursona and themselves.

Lets see Singe At least it started that way because i Really like that as a name. espesualy for a dragon But of corse later i added the last name of Doragon lately and i used it for AC 08 and on my FA account so it seems to be rather solid now.

Singe Dragon

How are you?
Jack of all trades? from the Graveyard Book? My friend was listening to it on his ipod (audio book)

I don't have a furry name sad only my real name, Isaol, which is short for Isaolinver, a name that only my older brother calls me. My friends just call me Isaol, and my girlfriend calls me Isa.
