The woman continued to glare at Tom, drawing silently closer as the boy did. The boy had pulled to just about five feet away from Tom. The woman was three feet behind the boy, keeping a careful, crazed eye on Tom. A low growl was coming from her.

The boy reached for the bottle slowly.

"******** yeah, dude! Break 'is face!" Jesse shouted. He crashed to the floor with Ton'yell and struggled to whip out his pocket knife, but he still kept himself behind Tony as he watched the fat man fall, letting out a quick whoop as he did.

"Dude, yeah! You a brawler, man? Took down his a** like nothin'! Nothin'!" He booted the fallen man's side with a laugh, not noticing with the others the arrival of the two newcomers until Ton'yell shook his shoulder and reprimanded his cruelty.

Finally, he saw the woman and child and tripped over himself backing away, landing flat on his butt and moaning from it. "The hell are these people? This some kinda nuthouse?" As the boy began his spidery movements, Jesse jerked himself to his feet, holding out his pocketknife, emulating Tom as best as possible. "What's wrong with you, kid? You keep away from me, or I will gut you like a herring!" He kept himself catty-cornered from the child, watching both of them nervously. "Hey, old dude, you gonna stop 'im, or what?"

Rebecca cowered behind Tom, peeking out at the growling woman and child. Something was stirring inside her, accompanied with a shortness of breath and a blurring of her vision. There was nothing she could do and it was starting to irk her in a most unnatural way.

All she wanted now was to get out and someone had closed the door on them. On top of all that this boy with yellow eyes was growling at her? Feelings of rage and distaste were boiling up inside her. Had the girl been in her right mind, it would have scared her to no end. This wasn't how she was. She never got angry.

It was likely any further hostile movement would set her over the edge and into her first IED episode.

Ton'yell was not happy with Jesse's words, but now wasn't really the time to lecture him about it. She carefully watched the woman and child. It feels like we're dealing with primitive people. In that case, we have a curious child. The woman is most like his mother. With Tom pointing the broken bottle towards the child, there was a high probability that the woman would attack Tom.

"Jesse, check the door and see if you can get out." However, it seemed that he was too busy emulating Tom to really listen. "Jesse. Get your a** to the door. Now. And whatever happens, you STAY behind me." He'd never heard Ton'yell speak in this way. Normally she was quiet and patient, but right now she was strict and demanded obedience. No one is touching that boy. He is going to stay safe.

Though unwilling, Jesse did what Ton'yell asked. Unfortunately, the door wouldn't open. "I'm afraid, Mr. Sumner, that we are stuck here." With the way the child was moving towards Tom, she had no idea what was going to happen. It all depended on the child's response.

“Please, just stay… stay back,” Tom told the feral-looking pair, taking a step back himself. He tried to ignore the boy at his side mimicking him, but he was so… erratic. And had he heard Ton’yell address him by more than one name? But he would let her take care of it.

His focus was thrown, however, when she told him that they were stuck. He glanced over his shoulder, the crazies temporarily forgotten, and stared at her in disbelief.

“What are you talking about?"

Ton'yell didn't take her eyes off the kid. "Jesse is a strong and smart boy. If he can't open the door, then it's going to take a lot more time and strength to pry it open - things that we don't have right now." The mother started to growl a bit louder. "Let's deal with these people and then worry about the door." There was no way in hell that she was turning her back on these crazy people.

The boy snatched for the bottle in Tom's hand as soon as he turned his head. His supposed mother was at his side in an instant at the sudden movement, ready to pounce.

At the feel of foreign weight on the bottle, Tom's attention snapped back to the feral woman and child. The boy's hand was grasping for the bottle and Tom jumped back, startled.

"Goddamn it, I said stay back!" For good measure, he swiped the bottle in the air, too far to make contact, but hopefully it would repel them.

Tom was uncomfortably aware that the situation was reaching a boiling point—physical violence was imminent.

"Ton'yell, if you can't get out the front way, try and get the kids into another room. I'll distract these two." He glanced briefly down at Rebecca, fitful beside him. "Go with Ms. Jordan, okay?"

The boy jumped back as Tom did and let out a growl as he swore at the two. Tom swiped the bottle and the boy stumbled back from the motion and let out a nearly inhuman screech. The mother lunged at Tom with a growl, pushing the child behind her.

Tom barely got his message out to Rebecca when he realized what was happening.
The screech had brought his attention back as the woman was lunging.

Before he could stop the inevitable, the woman had made contact and both of them were on the floor. After a moment of disorientation, Tom looked beside him, vaguely horrified to see he'd stabbed the woman with the broken beer bottle.

Ton'yell never got a chance to reply - the woman attacked Tom. "Look out!" The unfortunate fight finally started. Except, it ended rather quickly between the woman and Tom. He stabbed her? She looked behind her to see that Jesse was still there. My priority is to keep the kids safe. We can get an ambulance for the woman once we get out. Apparently this was not Ton'yell's first time seeing someone get stabbed.

Tom had found the bottle digging into the woman's abdomen, just below her ribcage. She was breathing heavily, probably going into shock due to the blood she was losing. The pain, however, didn't seem to be noticed.
She was face-to-face with Tom. Her eyes got wide as he opened her mouth and let out a weakening scream.
She lowered, or rather dropped, her head in an attempt to bite Tom.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?! You're not my father!"

She was angry now. Angrier than she had ever been before and she wanted to take it out on something. Hence the harsh words, the scowl marring her usually shy face. It was fortunate that there was an easy outlet for the inexplicable rage that boiled inside the young teen.

With an enraged cry, the girl leaped at the boy in an attempt to tackle him to the ground. If successful she would proceed to pummel the boy, her fists all balled up. Regardless of the strength of her anger, she was still only a thirteen year old girl, untrained in any kind of fighting.

It was unlikely she would deal much damage, but with the boy being roughly the same age as her, who knew?

Rebecca's surprise anger did nothing to help the situation. In fact, it made things worse considering that she had no fighting experience (and it showed). "Rebecca, let go!" Immediately, she ran to the fight. She separated Rebecca and the boy rather easily (she'd delivered several painful kicks to the boy's stomach).

Rebecca still seemed extremely angry, so Ton'yell threw Rebecca over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She did it with Jesse earlier, she could do it to Rebecca now. "This is not the time to be acting stupid."
