Moon_Princess_Yuki how about precious gems. Another idea is alcoholic drinks ^_^ I second this idea. I think that would be fun! Or shot types

Here's a list---not of my ideas, but of THEMES THAT HAVE BEEN MENTIONED MORE THAN 2 or 3 times THROUGH OUT THE THREAD. It is so Sirenz/the staff can see summed up what's been most popularly mentioned. I have NOT listed the suggestions/themes in which there are either A) many soquili/characters already following or from a mentioned theme or B) the shop has already done the theme or a theme very close to one suggested. What I have listed are themes with VERY FEW TO NO soquili involved with that theme. World Cultures Summer Vacation Eras of Music/Music Genres Zodiac/Astral/Outer Space Superheroes/Villains Classic Board Games Alcoholic Beverages Disney Themed Circus/Theme Park Mythology/Gods & Goddesses Apocalyptic/Disaster Themed Tarot Cards/Fortune Related Digimon Transformers Miyazaki Films/Characters Avatar: the last airbender Star Wars

I don't see D&D on that list at all. You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen more than two-four soquili that fit that category; and most of them are cosplays of book characters in a realm taken from D&D.
I was under the impression that a D&D themed event would feature things like races, classes, major world NPCs, dieties, and monsters. To the extent of my knowledge none of those, with the exception of NPCs and possibly dragons, have been represented in the soq world.
Just for my own clarification, and anyone interested... D&D themed pets currently existant:
Jarlaxle - Book Character/NPC (Meeki) Drizzt - Book Character/NPC (Meeki) Artemis Entreri - Book Character/NPC (Samus x) Myrdinn - Red Dragon (Evelyn Nyht) // I'm only adding Myrdinn here because he's a proclaimed nod to her father and his D&D OC.
Dragon based but not specifically D&D: Huggles - Blue Dragon (Cuter & Slander) Nall - White Dragon (Imp & TMH) Shear - Arctic Dragon (Jaeger Endarastrix) Torrent - OC Dragon (Slander)
Again, any of the owners or anyone at all can correct me if I'm wrong; and I'm sure there are more D&D based OCs that I didn't list... I just figured that since OC specific cosplays aren't usually prominant in shop events that D&D shouldn't be discounted.
Also: There are a lot of OUTER SPACE/astral ponies popping up through July customs, and even more that are being quested for... So I don't feel that's really a choice anymore for an event. There's a lot of space, sure, but if we go by themes that haven't been beaten into the ground; Outer Space is not going to be among those for very long.

Film noooirrr. The detective, the grunt, the lady with the gams... It would be so beautiful.
Along those lines, other classic movies, such as Cleopatra, Ben Hur, Spartacus, Casablanca, etc, etc.
Discworld! Since there are already themes on that list that seem rather specific, I may as well throw Discworld out there. There is a unique and rather large pantheon of Gods with visual images for colorists to look at, as well as all the characters.
I also like the exotic horse breed event idea.
I will probably have more ideas soon enough.

I dunno if it's been posted or not, but what about Soquili based off of different kind of shoes/articles of clothing?
Not in the sense that the pony would HAVE said articles of clothing but just... markings/colorings would be inspired by them. If that makes ANY sense. xD;

Ooooh or what about horses based off of high fasion? There would be so much to work with- Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Ralph Lauren etc.
Or combining two ideas, horses of the world? Focus on specific regions and countries and you could have all sorts of mini events. France, the British Isles, Middle Eastern countries, Canada etc.

A few ideas that I'd love to see turned into event themes would be:
- The Abarat (I'm crazy for the two Clive Barker books. They're so full of color and interesting characters! - Steampunk - Music incarnate - The Endless (Neil Gaiman's seven characters involved in the Sandman series. Death, Destruction, Destiny, Dream, Desire, Despair, Delirium.)

Ooooo, steampunk -- always a favorite of mine I also second the D&D event -- I'm not a D&Der myself, but they always have interesting designs. A Myth and Legend event would be fascinating. An African theme would also lean toward some beautiful soquili.

I personally think a Disney themed event would be awesome. Since Disney movies and characters are more well known then some other games or movies ideas that have popped up.

I dunno if anybody else has suggested this yet (and given the next holiday that'll be cropping up), I think it'd be cool to see the colorists personifying various phobias.

I enjoy all the original concepts here, that have many possibilities. Especially the steampunk idea. And the D&D idea has opened potential. World cultures would be amazing too.
I don't think I like the idea of named cosplay character type events. Especially Disney. Those characters are so used and known, it'd be nothing that we haven't all seen before. >.<
OhemmGEE, World of Warcraft monster and beast themes. ^o^
