Kardus leaned back in his chair, unwittingly exposing the fact that the top and bottom two buttons of his uniform were unbuttoned, exposing skin and fur beneath. "In training, yes. I'm an intern. For now I'm trying to build up some credit so the higher-ups can see how reliable I am. Erm...after lunch, that is." He chuckled and took another bite of his sandwich.

He grabbed the button with one paw and the corresponding hole with the other and pulled them together, but they stopped about two inches apart. "I can't. My body is too big." He let out another chuckle.

*leans over and grabs the two buttons, straining to pull them together. After about two minutes of pulling, I finally suceeed in buttoning them.*

Kardus had a look of bewilderment on his face as the cat strained to connect the buttons on his uniform. He sucked in his gut to try to create some space, letting go once the buttons were connected.

"Gee, thanks," he laughed nervously. "It's going to be tough to unbutton it now though, assuming it doesn't burst open. I appreciate the concern though." He closed one eye in a wink and smiled.

"Quite the shy pair, aren't you?" Kardus wondered aloud. He finished his first sandwich and wiped himself with a napkin. "Well, don't be on my watch. If you ever need anything and I'm on duty, let me know." He gave another smile, this time with both eyes closed.
