UmiWolfy Kai Shi UmiWolfy nvm i understand so since im in nineth grade it would be Watashi wa chuugaku kyuu nen sei desu? Sorry, long time getting back to you. I've been on Gaia a little less often lately sweatdrop The way its done in Japanese is a little different than how it is elsewhere. So instead of saying grade 9 its the junior high year 3. I don't undterstand sad
Sorry, took a long time to get back to you!
In Japan (as well as most of Canada and the UK), schools are organized like this:
Elementary School is Grades 1 - 6. Junior High/Middle School is Grade 7 - 9. High School is Grades 10 - 12.
In the USA, being in grade 9 would make you a first year high school student, but if you transferred to a Japanese school, you would be in your third year of middle school. So to make sense to a Japanese person, you would have to say "third year of middle school" (chuugaku san nen sei) to make them understand.
