His pelt is a creamy-peach, with a grey-brown mane. His tail is banded with the same grey-brown, but otherwise he has no markings. He has dark, liquid brown eyes and a soft pink nose and is almost always seen wearing the small drum slung around his neck. The drum has been designed after his muse: the rain. ---------- Personality:Kani'noe is a timid and gentle creature, softly spoken and modest. He adores playing the drum but can get a bit sheepish and nervous when having to play in front of others. However, because he usually plays as a group, this isn't too much of a problem. Generally laid-back and peaceful, he really becomes energetic and youthful at the time of rains and transforms into a much more outgoing creature than his usual self. He yearns for a family, as others in the pride do, but knows that he can never have children and has thus convinced himself he can never find a mate, so, whilst he is thankful for his friends, he is also a little jealous of them. A little lonely, too. ---------- HistoryKani'noe was born into the Nchi'mahadi lands to a single mother. His family were always very close-knit and loving and he grew up thinking that his family was like any other, not realising his mixed blood until sometime later. As he grew, he developed a crush on his friend, Mawi-Mai, though he was too timid to say anything and just hoped that she would see it and declare her love for him. However, seeing her and the others flourishing at music, Kani realised that he was not naturally talented. He spent many pained days and nights trying to discover his muse so that he might play a good beat or dance up a wonderful step. However, his musical talent never seemed to grow with him and he constantly battled his inner demons about being a failure. That was until he witnessed his first rain shower. For him, rain was a muse, it was the key that fitted into the heart of music. It was the rhythm for which he'd take his inspiration and find the beat in his own song. And, when he realised that the rain Goddess herself had come to visit him, bringing that rain with it, he wept with joy and thanked her with all his heart. And, despite the fact that he watched his two best friends fall in love and start a family, he managed to get through, glad to finally have the music, if not a mate of children of his own.

His brilliant white pelt is banded with brown-gold around his tail and body. His toes are tipped in the same gold-brown colour, which also streak across his face. He has a dark black mane and tail and silvery, almost 'empty' looking eyes, giving him his name. ---------- Personality:Once bitter and angry, Cassian has certainly mellowed out a lot during his travels and time with Illena. His bitterness was born from his lack of independence due to his disability. However, with kindness and friendship from Illena, he has learned that life is not so bad. Also, since having recently been healed, he has vowed to find his place in the world, hunt and protect and care for Illena. Whilst not an overly happy, trusting and loving lion, he does have a deep sense of loyalty and love, though he seems somehow unwilling and awkward showing it. His face is often set with a thoughtful or grumpy frown, though these frowns are less and less frequent now. He is a smart and productive lion, believing in brain over brawn. ---------- HistoryCassian was a bitter and manipulative lion as a youth, hating himself for not being able to see properly and angry that he would always have to depend on others for help. In his anger he decided to strike off alone, seeking a female who could hunt for him, and one who would be stupid enough to hunt for him. He found many candidates, but one in particular stood out. Her name was Illena. The two set off on a journey together, Cassian doing his best to mask his disability but relying on Illena to hunt for him. He secretly sought a Goddess who could help him, and luckily, it did not take him long to find one. He met with Rokopelli by the sea and after encouraging her, she tried to heal him...only to curse him by accident. His mind mingled with that of Rokopelli and he was cursed with an addled and confused mind. Angry, he lashed out at the Goddess and they ended up spending a lot of time following her around the lands as she sought a Goddess who could help him. This journey saw Cassian and Illena grow closer and, towards the end, it was clear they were very much in love. And, after much pain and trauma, they finally found a Goddess of Healing who lived up in the mountains of the Ela'wadiyi. There she helped fix Cassian's addled mind and his eyes, too. Now, filled with a sense of hope, he is setting off to look for a home for both him and Illena.

Luciérnaga'reinaFirefly Queen"You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies lit up the world as I fell asleep."  ---------- Colourist: DFA Aquired: Breeding, gift from Felyn and DFA Text colour: cornflower blue ---------- Name Origin: Spanish Child Name:Izo'raina (meaning Ice Queen in Germanic/Latin) Species: Lion Pride: Kizingo'zaa Rank: Minder ---------- Appearance:A white lioness with blue-striped legs, tail and back, Lucie would be considered a 'cold-looking' lioness if not for the fire-gold that burns brightly in her eyes. Once named after her watery pelt, it is clear that this girl is not 'blue' in heart as she is in appearance. A lithe and pretty lioness, she is a prime example of a young adult female. ---------- Personality:Lucie has not changed much from that of Izo of youth. She has remained a happy and care free lioness, untouched - until recently - by any pain or sadness. She found love in all things, but it was clear from the very start that she would find her muse in that of the fireflies. She became nocturnal to spend as much time with them as possible, barely spending any time with her family during the day and neglecting her hunting skills until later in life. She named herself queen of the fireflies upon reaching adult and became a much more responsible female, caring for herself so that she can care for her fireflies. Lucie is an innocent lioness who wears her heart on her sleeve and loves surrounding herself by her family and friends. She seems oblivious, also, to the fact that she truly believes she is a firefly in soul and that, one day, when she dies, she will become a firefly, too. However, because of her niaivity, it is only to be expected that when pain comes, it will affect her greatly. Gifted with a strong heart, it is highly likely that she will come through the pain relatively unscathed. ---------- HistoryLucie began as Izo'raina, and began life as an aloof individual rarely seen out and about during the day. This was because her chosen muse was nocturnal and so she adapted to their ways. However, she loved being social and also made the time to spend part of the day with friends and family no matter how tired she was. One of these was her friend Miminiwa whose muse was the sun. They grew up together and shared in the glory of their muses and, as Izo became an adult, she took up the role of Queen of the Fireflies and bore her new name as Luciérnaga'reina. Likewise, a couple of days later, Mimi became crowned their King and so their friendship blossomed even more. Both of them were unaware that these feelings they were having were caused by love, though as time passed, they began to realise that they were beyond friends now. However, disaster struck. Miminiwa had an accident which left him without a memory, and their last meeting ended with Lucie running off in tears, not knowing what to do now that her best friend and the love of her life looked at her with unfamiliarity.

He has a 'podgy' build which makes him perfect as a pillow! His toes are dipped with gold and his mane and tail-tip are orange, the fiery colours taken from his father. He also has warm, brown eyes. These eyes are based with small yellow triangle shaped markings. ---------- Personality:He is as friendly as his cuddly appearance makes him out to be. Bae is a hippy lion. He is laid-back, at peace with the earth, and more than happy to lend a helping paw. All too eager to help out and muck in, he is happiest when being in a social group, so long as he gets time to just kick back and do nothing - which needs to happen at least once a day! He enjoys sleeping, sun-bathing and talking and literally goes with the flow. Troubles and panic and all other negative emotions roll like water on a duck's back. Bae angry, stressed, panicked? Never. He'll greet such circumstances with a calm smile and try to do all he can to fix what happens to be broken. Bae is a peace-keeper and will often quote: I'm a lover, not a fighter. This also means that he can be a bit promiscuous with females, though he would never spend a night with an unwilling female or a female wanting something more than a night of fun. Her unknowingly takes after his father with his unwillingness to be tied down to anything, though through all his wandering, he often ends up back home to say hello to his mother. ---------- HistoryBorn to a single mother and with a younger sister, Bae has been the man of the family, until his dreams got in the way and he got itchy paws. Hearing stories about his rogue father and his parent's brief romance, Bae wants something similar and, though he was reluctant to leave, his mother urged him to follow his heart. Though he visits her every so often, it is clear that his home is the wide open plains, and he has made a promise to cheer up and help anyone who is in need along the way. Shortly after, he met a mad little parrot by the name of Hister and the two have become fast friends, never often seen apart. They seek something, but neither of them know exactly what that something is.

Everything about her is feminine and gentle, and she knows it. ---------- Personality:Aryiola is, to flatly put it, a flirt and a shameless one at that. She also likes to show off her gift at predicting the future in an attempt to heighten her status in the world. She is not vicious or cruel, but she does have a manipulative way to her, especially when her gift is concerned. The heart of her power lies in telling the future - with the aid of a special jewel she carries with her at all times. She can catch snippets of the past and present, but its generally hazy and often gives her terrible headaches that can lead, also, to memory loss. She has an insatiable curiosity for males and often tries to bait, lure and tempt them to have one-night stands with her. Not because she wants cubs or a mate, but simply because she enjoys being in charge and getting what she wants. Her family included both blood relatives and those who simply journeyed with them. Aryiola was part of a nomadic group that moved from place to place, seeking injustice and smiting it with strength and skill. However, a highly independent lioness, she often was subject to her mother's incessant babying of her, and though she adores her mother, she decided that she could not stay forever. So, more recently, she spent time observing those who came to seek her advice and, when one male returned to her, she was instantly aware that she had to go with him. His name was Suijin and she fancied him greatly. He had an interesting and wild future, one that she wanted to be a part of. So, she did not hesitate to agree to join him, though not without saying goodbye to her family first.

A rather large but wiry build with slightly unkempt fur. There's a wild and untameable look about her, and an energy that makes her moves somewhat unpredictable. Her green-brown pelt is spotted with a pale brown and a dark brown stripe runs from the top of her head and all down her spine. She has a pink nose, bright green eyes and a light-green tail-tuft. Mchawi never smiles, and is almost always wrinkling her snout in distaste. ---------- Personality:Mchawi is bitter and twisted. There's not much more to say about her. She frequently upsets and scares other lions, something which Mchawi, disdainful, clearly cultivates. And many do believe that she's a 'witch' able to work magic - and perhaps curses - upon them. She has little love or patience for anyone except her two brothers, whom she loves desperately, though she would never say it. This, however, is clear through her actions towards them. She is a killer and is proud of this fact. She seems to have no concept of guilt or the precious thread of life. If someone loses their usefulness she won't hesitate to kill them herself, or have one of her brothers do it. Being a seer also gives her that dangerous edge and she certainly uses all the visions she recieves - these visions, however, are uncontrollable and come and go as they please. They also tend not to be very clear so a lot of guesswork is involved. All in all, you'd better hope you don't cross Mchawi's path when she's in a foul mood - which is quite often the case. ---------- HistoryThe Koza’maisha, a very exotic and nomadic pride far to the south who were dedicated to restoring the circle of life in areas they passed through, was where Msiba, Mchawi, and Machafuko grew up. Their father was from outside the clan, however, and wasn’t infatuated enough with the cubs’ mother to make the effort and join the clan, which was a major and exhaustive process. As half-breeds and fatherless, they were discreetly looked down on, and Msiba and Mchawi in particular grew up to be embittered, angry children, half-wild and separate from the rest of the clan. Their mother died young, when they were barely adolescents, and with no-one left to control them, they started to rebel against the pride’s rules and customs. Mchawi, a seer, was apprenticed as usual with the other seers of the pride. Mchawi discovered, to her delight, that a handsome young male lion, Unyevu, had seer talents as well – but also had a very unique talent. He knows ‘where’ his visions are occurring, have occurred, or will occur, like personal radar. Traditionally, a seer cannot know where their visions are happening unless they recognize the place (IE, they’ve been there before), but he doesn’t need to have been there to know where it is; if he concentrates, he can feel the ‘pull’ of the vision and can head in that direction accordingly. Mchawi’s own powers were too weak and confusing, like most seer powers are: she and Msiba needed the male lion to help with their own plots to take over the pride and secure power. In addition, Mchawi was furious when Unyevu decided to choose another female – a non-seer – over her. To steal Unyevu’s particular talents, Msiba and Mchawi blackmailed him, killing one of his daughters and threatening to kill his other two children – and his mate – if he didn’t follow along. Msiba and Mchawi, with the help of the rogue Kitisho, ended up killing the god of Peace, who had been the main living god of the Koza’maisha, but thanks to several heroes within the pride, they were driven out before they could do any more damage. In the end, Unyevu had no choice but to leave with them … his children and mate were still in danger, and everyone believed him to be on Msiba’s side after the event. The Aka'mleli were the next pride in sights, and, after successfully gaining entrance with their avian bonds and Msiba's charm, it looked that all was well to begin the takeover, especially with the pride so rattled by the earthquake that had decimated them. It seemed too good to be true...However, things were not going to plan and, despite trying to keep Unyevu under control, he allowed one of the cubs to get free and eventually betrayed them to the pride. Mchawi, despite herself, got involved in a fight with a lioness - who was pregnant with her brother's cubs - during which her avian, Nondo, lost his life. Realising that another plan had failed, Mchawi gave up the fight and left to meet up with her brother and escape before all was lost. The plot lost them all of their followers: Kitisho, Unyevu, and even their younger brother. Angry and bitter, Mchawi voewed vengeance and once again headed out into the rogue lands with her brother Msiba her only companion. Since then, Mchawi has spent time seeking seers who might be useful to their cause and also enlisted Nondo's sister to be a new familiar, missing how useful eyes in the sky could be.

NondoSnake"Who would have thought a raven could have loved a lion?"  ---------- Colourist: Mila Farrel Aquired: Megaplot RP contest Text colour: black ---------- Name Origin: Swahili Species: White-necked raven Pride: n/a Rank: deceased familiar of Mchawi ---------- Appearance:A large raven with sleek, dark grey feathers and brown eyes. He has a strip of white feathers at the base of his neck, true to his kin and brown feathers on his stomach. ---------- Personality:Nondo was not a bad or an evil avian. His downfall was his unquestioning adoration of his bonded, Mchawi. He was hand-picked by her and so feels as if he is special to her and outshines other ravens. He is the doting butler, happy to take orders from the feline, and prepared to do anything to make her happy. Somewhat naive, Nondo's love of Mchawi was a great fault and allowed him to be easily manipulated by her - as so many other lovestruck boys. However, for all his faults, he is a good raven and dependable until the end, brave and unfaltering in what needs to be done. ---------- HistoryHand-picked by Mchawi over all the other ravens in his flock, Nondo accompanied his bonded and her companions away from home and out towards an unknown destination. He accepted the task, knowing that he was somehow important to ensuring access into a land that would otherwise be closed to the lions he was involved with and was more than happy to carry out his task. On the short journey there he was eager to prove himself and doted on the lioness, carrying out all tasks she gave her in an attempt to prove himself. When they arrived at the Aka'mleli, Nondo was his bonded's eyes, keeping an eye out for anyone causing trouble and making sure no one interrupted her when she needed some thinking time. However, things did not go to plan and when Nondo failed in his task to watch over the cub; Peke, due to the traitorous Unyevu, he had to report back to his bonded and suffer her wrath. Things quickly went downhill from there and eventually they were backed into a corner, Mchawi facing off with Hisia - the female that Msiba had charmed and made pregnant. A short fight ensued, with Nondo protecting his beloved from another avian, killing it in midair. However, Mchawi - distracted by a vision mid-battle - was left vulnerable and in that moment Nondo flew between the lionesses and took the killing blow meant for Mchawi. He died there as his bonded fled.
