Bounty Hunters

[Sgt. Brad Moody]

Trots into the room Fully suited and armed. "I've got a lead on a planet not far from here, I'm going alone, goodbye, just had to tel the chief." He walks out of the room and out towards the Docking Bay for his pesonalized ship.  

[Final Darkness]

"Well, isn't today full of interesting people."

Mark was getting impatient. He was given his orders, and wasn't planning on sitting around doing nothing. He started to walk to the door and say,

"Listen, I'm ready to go. I'm leaving for the ship now. If you're coming, then I think you should follow."

enthusiastically "Well i dont know about the other members but im ready for action! Lets go."  

[Teh Happy Turkey]

"Yeah we should get going."  

[jdspike]

"Just a sec i need to grab my suit." takes off running and returns shortly out of breath. " k im all set."  

[Indigo Dagger]

"A'ight."  

[Final Darkness]

"Good. *deep breath* Here we go."

The five of them, Mark, Merle, Shiek, Ford and Josh all hopped on the frigate ship headed for their destination. Mark took the controls of the ship as they took off from the launching bay into space.

As they were flying, Mark kept thinking to himself over and over,

"I really hope it's not them, anyone but them....."

"Hey Mark, Who's them?"

"Hey Ghost, what are you talking about, Mark's been silent for the entire trip"

*i wonder what i should expect of my first mission*
"Has anyone ever died on one or you all's missions?"  

[Final Darkness]

Mark turned around and looked at him with a grave look on his face.

"......I don't know if I can explain it to you, the way you need to hear it."  

[jdspike]

"What does that mean? someone has died? Who?"  

[Final Darkness]

"*sigh* It's a long story."

Flashback

About a year ago, I was assigned on my first mission. I was with four other people as well. We were sent in to investigate strange activity on a far away planet. But, when we landed, we came under attack by another group of hunters.

After a while of fighting and avoiding them, they had us trapped in the end of it all. One of my teammates made a desperate move, and saved me first by getting me onto an escape ship, giving up his life in the process. I never saw the others again after that......

"I can't say the others are alive, but I know that they're not dead. If those hunters finally caught them here, then they'll...."

*WARNING! INCOMING FIRE!*
*WARNING! INCOMING FIRE!*

This signal echoed, as a series of missiles were launched from the surface of the planet, straight for them.

"OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"* WHAT A WAY TO START THE FIRST MISSION*  

[Teh Happy Turkey]

"Everyone take cover! Mark, can you raise the shields? While you do that me and Ford will start up the turrets."

"Been awhile since I got in one of these, a little less roomy than the CO's personal starship, but he didn't have turrets on it, Ghost let's go kick some a**!"  

[Final Darkness]

Mark strapped himself and flicked several switches, bringing the ship's shields up.

"Alright. Make it quick, I may have to take evasive action."
