Name of the Teal Lion: Gwembeshe
Name Meaning: "Bandy-Legged One"
Name of the Black Lion: Chimola
Name Meaning: "Breaker of Things"
Teal Lion's Personality: He's that guy that's always there to "encourage" his Bro, especially when his Bro is going to do something stupid and/or dangerous. And once he's had his laugh at his Bro, he'll go right ahead and do the same stupid thing, cause Bros stick together. He seems to take up more space then he actually does cause he's got such a big personality. He laughs long and loud, and isn't inclined to mope. If he is sad, his Bro can usually snap him out of it pretty quickly.
Black Lion's Personality: Chimola rushes into everything. Except for major life changing decisions. Which, being few and far between, often surprises everyone but his Bro, who knows him best. He doesn't have a lot of fears so he's pretty easy to goad into doing stupid and dangerous stuff. But it's all good, he knows his Bro's got his back, and he's got his Bro's. So what's there to fear?
Chimola also doesn't like being forced onto a mold. Like say, being forced into a marriage that forces him to drop his Bromance with Gwembeshe as a requirement? Screw that crap, he's so out of there.
Future Simbafutaji Ranks: Both Fighters. They've got to stick together.
Backgrounds:
Gwembeshe's mom was the kind of lioness who believed in free love, so he grew up around a lot of siblings and several dads. Sometimes the dads came and went (or his mom got sick of them and told them to leave), which taught him on thing: Chicks might turn their back on you, even if you love them, so you can't trust them. You've got to get another male to watch your back. He met Chimola a few months ago, when he decided it was time for him to leave his mom and his multiple siblings and his many dads to find somewhere that wasn't defined by how you were related to his mom. He met Chimola when he was sunbathing off the beach, and watching some lovely young females splashing in the water - Chimola happened to be doing the same thing. Recognizing a kindred spirit in each other, they've been each other's wingman ever since.
Gwembeshe never really joined Chimola's pride, he just kind of hung out around the pride lands and they tolerated him, more or less, until things got bogus.
Chimola was born into a pride. And he was born auspiciously at that. However he's never been one to be obedient or pliable. So he often hid away from his parents and teachers who were trying to groom him for leadership. Quite infuriating actually. Especially since instead of the reliable, boring, and responsible adult they had hoped to raise, his parents were instead responsible for bringing a lazy, no good, disrespectful, flirty lion into the pride. Still they thought there was hope! Their priestess's daughter wanted Chimola for her mate! Their only stipulations were: Stop associating with that "interloping rogue", and "comb that mane for goodness sake". They hoped that being well matched would calm him down and get him to settle into the job that was planned for him. Well that was just pushing it too far, Chimola was not going to do that, and certainly not for some ugly priestess' daughter! Bros before Hoes man.
Prompt Response:
Chimola was the one who noticed the dames first, and knocked into Gwembeshe to get his attention. "Dude, check it out! Chicks!"
"Oh man, where? Sweet! Dude, go talk to them!"
"Hey, Ladies! Where are a group of such fine females off to in such a hurry?"
Later Chimola would congratulate himself on not only spotting three lovely ladies, but also getting into their group. The numbers were excellent, three pretty females to two bros. Gwembeshe always had such awesome ideas. Sure warning others of the impending doom was all good and stuff. But the important part was the three chicks...and all the danger and adventure stuff involved too. All the adventure sure beat being forced into marriage and losing his best Bro.
Gwembeshe was pretty pleased as well. First off, they were totally being heroes. Chicks dig heroes man. When we get where we're going? It's going to be awesome. We're going to save the day and no one will call us interloping rogues or try to make us marry anybody, cause that's just not cool, and it's not how you treat heroes. Plus, we'll totally be in awesome shape and all the babes will think we're super awesome. So I'm a little bit out of breath now, it'd all be good.
