Daddy's little Duplicate Cub name: Is'breá an-Bandia Meaning: Love of the Goddess Personality: As a cub, Ban will be very quiet, and shy, often hiding behind her father, or another member of her family. She will be the sort to watch and listen, rather than speak, obviously preferring to learn first, then use her experience. The disease will be something that does not seem to strike her, which she accepts as a blessing, even so young. As she becomes a Juvenile and the weight of the disease sets into her mind, she will start realizing something. As a Juvenile, she will begin to understand just how blessed she is to be immune, or rather, to have not shown any signs of the disease yet, which will lead her to a life-direction.
Ban will begin to show signs of being very compassionate and open, liking to play and help any who do show signs. She's going to be sweet and quiet, with a heart of gold. Ban is also very tolerating, taking insults and anything of that like into stride, and not to heart. Once Adolescence and adult sets in, this continues. She develops into a loving, calm, and open-hearted lioness. She enjoys laying outdoors and watching people, helping where she can. Ban has realized her blessing, and takes it into stride by taking the position of Healer. As a healer, she will show her tolerance and her manner of taking things into stride.
Any future plots/ideas: Eventually, the cub will become a Healer, off of a personal belief that she will begin to carry as a Juvenile. When she figures out about the sway of the disease (past the cubhood "oh this is normal"), she will find herself even more grateful that she is blessed enough to be immune. This will lead her to become a Healer to help those afflicted in any way she can. Diseased? Immune
Prompt #: 1
Prompt Reply:
Mother. A word that IIs'breá an-Bandia had understood, though never figured out in relation to herself. As a cub, of course, she wondered what her mother was like, why the female wasn't with them, but what was she supposed to say? She often wondered if she'd passed on or something, because her father never spoke of the femme…which meant that she believed that she did not wish to upset her father by speaking of her. The thought plagued her, however. The idea that her mother might still be out there somewhere...That...there might have been something behind it all. The idea began to roll into her dreams, and her heart, until it was as bad as a cold that just wouldn't go away.
So, eventually, Bandia had worked up the courage and gone to ask her father. When she had, he told her something that shocked her. He hadn't loved her mother. Her mother had given them up for the pride, and father, her respected father, had given his own respect to her for that. This caused a new wave of turmoil within the cub's mind. Her mother had given them up for the sake of this pride. Sure, she understood that a lot of lions were sick, but why would her mother not stay with them? It made no sense in her young mind, so it was yet another thing that kept her awake at night.
It changed the way she saw things....Her siblings, her family. Especially her father. He'd taken them from a female he didn't even feel for....but he was a good dad. She really didn't know what she could say or do about that. Her mother had given them up willingly, so she supposed it wasn't all that bad, but what did that say about her? That she'd created cubs not out of love, but out of....oh, what was it? Convenience? Or something of that same nature? Bandia didn't know, but as far as she was concerned, it didn't matter. The cub took some time to step back and observe...something she'd found she was rather fond of doing. Something that made her a lot easier of heart.
Watching proved to her what she'd thought before the news had tortured her small mind. Watching proved to her that this was her family. Mother or not, no matter what had happened, her family would always be what came first. Especially her sick family. She wanted to help them...she wanted to be by their sides and loyal. Whether or not her father had loved her mother, whether or not her mother had loved her, this was where she now belonged. There was no reason in Bandia's mind for her to sit back and hate everything...no....acceptance. She needed to accept it and move forwards.
Such was life.

Daddy's Blue Star Cub name: Ena Meaning: (Bright And Shining) Celtic Personality: To be living with a disease that will one day kill her she is pretty positive. She has her down days but for the most part she has accepted that she is one of the diseased but as for now, she is young and the disease is in the 1st stages and she has a life to live. In her eyes she isn't going to let it get her down or let it effect how others see her. She still has dreams that she will grow big and strong and become an amazing huntress one day but to live with the disease she tries to live in the moment, to live for the day and not a future that may never happen for her. This attitude makes her fun to be around but makes her impulsive and unpredictable. You never know what crazy thing she will try to do next.
She tries hard not to let knowing that some of her siblings will live long healthy lives get to her, but when she is alone and she feels she doesn't have to keep a strong face up for her family... she cries at the injustice of being born only to live for such a short time. When her father told her that the reason she felt bad some days and wasn't allowed to go play with the other cubs was because she was ill from the disease she knew that if she was going to get the most out of life that she could have no fear so that when she lay dying she would have no regrets. A very wise fellow pride member who had one of their own family pass on from the sickness told her once that the brightest most beautiful stars in the sky, burn the hottest and live the shortest.
She was a bright star and that is how she planned to live her life. Diseased? Diseased, first stages. As she ages the illness will steadily increase until she she finally falls victim to it and passes away (mid adult life, think 33 in human maturity) How will the cub deal with the sickness, both of herself (if diseased) and the other pride members: She has decided to not give in to the sadness, to live her life as "bright" as possible. Because she knows that if her days are numbered, she doesn't want to regret not living on the day that she dies. Her family tells her to slow down and take it easy but she has none of that. Stubborn and strong willed she is set on not letting the illness bully her into a passive boring and safe life. Her father often has to "talk" to her about behavior and punish her for extreme risks she takes. He worries about her and she loves him for it, but Ena believes that her father secretly loves her strong will. He even calls her his Little Blue Star. Future plots/ideas: As a Cub
Guilt of a Father and Wisdom of a Friend Ena's father has to explain to her that she has the disease and what that means to her. Ena doesn't take the news well and runs off, running into an elderly lion (no idea who yet lol) that is immune. Seeing Ena crying the Old lion tells her to sit and tells her a story of his family and a sister he once had that passed away many seasons ago. This is where Ena learns that the brightest stars in the sky, burn hot, shine bright and die young.
Unwanted Dreams Her siblings are told that she has the disease and over time one of them get her to open up about her fears and dreams. Preferably an immune sibling, so there is some anger for Ena to express and so that the immune cub can learn a thing or two as well.
Young Adult
Bedside Manner Ena has a nasty complication with her disease and after pushing herself to hard hunting one winter she winds up in the hospital den. Sick and very frustrated. She hates being in this place, being reminded of her disease. Taking their tonics.... to say that she is un cooperative would be an understatement. One day when she is laying there sick a young male sits next to her and gives her a treatment, what she didn't realize was that he would treat her heart as well. They have a flirtation and while a carrier he is strong and handsome.
Realizing her Limits While out with a friend (or the sibling she talked with b4) hunting (maybe, or something else strenuous) Ena starts to tire and they sit at a water hole. She talks with her friend (who is a carrier) what the disease is doing, how it's getting worse. Ena begins for the first time to think, really imagine how much time she has left and what that means to her. She realizes her mortality.
Adult
Slowing Down to Smell the Roses Ena has always had one speed, fast. She lives fast and knows she will die fast. However one male makes her slow down and smell the roses. He teaches her that there are many ways to live life in a way that you wont regret. (hopefully a life mate or at least long relationship. Involving cubs!)
Sick and TIRED! Cubs. Everywhere. She loves them but she feels trapped and she knows life is slipping by. This is where she will deal with her desire to be free and live life or be a good mom to the children she loves. Ena has become more ill and has more and more "bad" days every year, she knows time is running out.
No Regrets Ena is dying and she is surrounded by a family she never thought she would have. A career as a huntress she never even let herself dream of, and love. Love that she never considered someone like her could have. A life love, a mate. She comes to terms with her life and says her goodbyes to her family, telling them stories of their lives and her own. Realizing that she did what she set out to do. Lived a life with no regrets.

Daddy's Blue Star Cub name: Renny Meaning: "grace; prosperity"; "small but mighty" Personality: Renny is jealous of all of her siblings. They're all bigger then she is in one way or another. She's also the weakest of all of them and somewhat deep in her heart she pities herself for it. But she loves her daddy the most. And therefore is the most jealous of her time with him. She's been scolded for taking out her jealousy on her siblings so now knows better.
Instead she now keeps that deep jealousy inside and uses it as fuel to fan the flames of living. She will fall ill as soon as she reaches the pride and have terrible bouts of the disease with small recessions. She was named to be graceful and to prosper, but it will be the later half of her name's meaning that will be true, "small but mighty" she will have very firm opinions and not except anything but the best. Frail of body but strong of spirit.
She's determined to leave her mark, maybe by living long enough to provide the pride with cubs and she'll be very picky about her mate, unless a male can sweep her off her emotional feet (which are much stronger then her physical ones). Due to her negative emotions she's not a big people person, and when the time comes to choose a job she'll choose to be an Apothecary in order to help the pride but not have to do much strenuous work and to avoid lots of people. Diseased? Diseased How will the cub deal with the sickness, both of herself (if diseased) and the other pride members: Renny will be furious at the lion that infects her, and will carry that grudge to the end of her days. Likely she won't do anything about the grudge, but she'll have it hanging over her. Other lions who are stronger then her to begin with who have the disease she lets be and doesn't particularly care about (Unless they're strongish boys that she might mate with later, as she'll be determined to get at least one litter born and she wants a strong mate). The sick cubs and the weak ones like herself she feels kinship and pity for. Future plots/ideas: Daddy Stalking, Apprenticing to an apothecary, Working around sibling jealousy and jealousy of the world, Sickly rp, finding a suitable male
