Zuri-kai Yay for weekends. I'm looking forward to it cause those are the days when my husband does the cooking. ^.^ And I have odd taste in men so he maybe sexy to the average eye, but I might not see the same appeal. sweatdrop I'll give you that it's fun to mess with people though. Sunegami DarkWolfLove I've done lots of looking around and studying and I was really into Wicca for a while, but that too takes a lot of faith into the Life Tree and the Goddess and a lot of stuff I couldn't wrap my mind around.
I loved the idea that we continue to live even after death, just in another form, we just don't remember.
But I want to remember, I want to stay in the life I have.
So a lot of my struggles have been with the afterlife.
And there's no tangible proof for something like that because no one knows.
I'll tell you, I'm pretty jealous of your contentedness.
^^; Actually, I think I will take you up on this offer of the Pagan Guild.
My hopes for something have been restored and maybe I can find someone local who's willing to help me even more.

I've come to a sort of point in my life where my doubt and faith are pretty much settled down into a general apathy. It's not really a pascal's wager for me, as I do really want there to be a God, but don't know what I want out of being a Christian...if that makes sense..? My main problem is my scientific self dumping too many facts to make sense of my faith. Thousands of years of history pretty much say I can't rely on most things outside of the feel good messages about being nice to others. That's not to say I'm on Hanyuu;s level of alternate history... But when there's multiple flood myths that may pre-date Judaism and earlier societal trends with Roman mythology seem played out again with Christianity, I can't help but wonder in the back of my mind if my religion is made up. sad Another thing that recently dawned on me is how all religion and lack there of is no different than ice cream flavors, it's all choice. It disturbs me, but it's true... I mean, you make the choice in what you like with thousands of different options and even the ability to make it up as you go. It just makes it all meaningless...not in the "I'm an atheist so I'm better for seeing this" sort of way, they're in it too. Rather, it's just really doesn't matter, not a single aspect does in any way shape or form. None of the options matter, because they're just flavors...styles. Christianity is really good visible example, with Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox, Coptics, Aryans, mixes upon mixes, and who knows what else out there. There's probably a Jesus for everyone, even atheists. I think he's called Raptor Jesus. At least it's empowering... I guess. It just means the future is ruled by fluff bunnies, but at least with knowing everything's a choice they'll be nice fluff bunnies. I like the wikipedia article on fluff bunnies with their related terms. I'd totally have a McWicclet for breakfast.
