IM ENTERING FOR Lady Lioness!! GIMME PIRATE BOOTY! Name: Narissa Meaning: Sea Nymph Personality: A strong, confident female who realizes that she has influence over males and is often flirting or playing around with any potential mates. Still instead of letting it all go to her head she ‘humbly’ accepts (yeah right, she’s a bit over confident) her position as a beautiful female and watches the males with interest – hoping that one of them will at least give her amusement if not stir her heart. Often it becomes boring and she finds more joy in her duty as a crew member. The feeling of the sea in her fur is one of her favorite feelings and besides trinkets she greatly enjoys entertaining others, especially with singing and dance.
As it is she tends to be a mysterious figure that enjoys gazes watching her as she goes about her business. There’s never a dull moment with company in her opinion, though any one not worthy enough of her attention is put down soon enough by the tough lioness. Prompt Response: “I came from the sea originally. My family in an act of desperation threw me into the waves in order to save their pride from the wrath of the water spirits. But it appears that my beauty and innocent gaze was too much for the spirits – they could not drown such a precious cub. So instead I was taken further down the shore line away from that pride and watched over by the creatures of the sea until I grew up to be a fine young adolescent, full of promise – healthy and strong. “
But even one such as her could not live by herself in the cove forever so she set out and joined this ‘ere pride. With a trinket from her cove the lioness proved herself worthy of being a new blood and has even managed to fight her way to becoming a crew member. She holds stubbornly to her post and will never ever become one of those females who live to raise cubs.
Of course the reality behind her actual cub-hood is a mystery as she purposefully uses stories to tell others about herself. She is a grand story-teller and has been told that she could convince a fish into flying.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Narissa watched the waves. It felt like forever ago since she had left the cove to arrive here in this crazy pride. She smirked at the thought. She was one of those ruffians after all now. Happy and pleased by her own accomplishments the lioness turned away from the waters. As long as she was here, near the ocean coming here she realized that moving away from her loneliness and into this busy place was a good choice. The storm had destroyed her lovely cove and taken her here to the pirates.
To him.
She smiled leisurely as she watched him working nearby. A beautiful male with a dark pelt and pink mane. But that was not the actual reason she was actually attracted to him. She had seen many fine males after all, a couple of those she worked with had even been with her for nights. But he – he had no interest what so ever. That cheetah….Narissa frowned as she noticed the female hovering near him again. What was she to that male? Some lucky trinket or lover? The lioness shook her head. It was ridiculous to think that he wouldn’t approach her because of that other female!
Of course without his interest perhaps she would have never taken special notice of him.
She was enamored with the fact that he wasn’t after her. A flirt she loved to tease new members and test them to see how easily they would fall for her tactics, but this guy…he was so stubborn! Not once did he give her a second glance. Instead she watched with a burning jealousy as he turned back to that cheetah he had brought with him into the pride. It was his lack of interest that made her even more determined. Narissa had followed him and watched him as much as she could. More and more teasing came his way and she flirted suggestively with him, but still he would not take her up on her offers. Why? She kept watching him and came to know him.
While he wasn’t interested, she found herself gaining more interest in him by the day. Narissa was one who normally got bored with the normal routine of flirting and often changed lovers by the next moon. Perhaps it was this lack of interest that she needed. She even gave up at one point to see if he would miss her antics, but still no reaction! The lioness was lost. How could she win this male over?
Now she tries to just befriend him in order to be closer. Secretly she is still hoping that the one who never showed an ounce of interest in her will become interested. She once thought that it was the only reason she was interested in him was because of that lack, but now it really is emotionally stirring for her to watch him work.
Was it possible? She was falling for him? Narissa was afraid of that. She even planned to leave for a while, to get away from him and to force herself to get over him. But the lioness took one glance behind her and found that her heart just wouldn’t let her leave. She was really screwed this time. But that was okay. She was stubborn and patience was something of a virtue…she could wait. Wait and see as those two cheetahs left the lion alone, alone for her to come in and take him away.
One day she would win this pirate booty.
