I have a seeeeeeeeecret!
Name: Thurayya
Meaning: “the Pleiades” in Arabic (the Pleiades are a group of seven stars in the constellation Taurus)
Desired rank: Guard
A little history: Thurayya was born as a rogue and enjoyed a life of roaming into adulthood. She made friends with any species be it leopard or lion or any other animal that roamed around. She had no desire to be part of a pride and fully enjoyed being free of rules. One day she decided it was time for her to have cubs of her own. Thurayya had been keeping her eye on another that was also a rogue because she did not want her own children to have to grow up in a pride. Together they had two beautiful cubs.They stayed together till the cubs had grown into adolescents and then she let them go off on their own as her parents had done with her.
Thurayya went on a different path from the male after their cubs had grown up. She found herself near the congo river, hunting a wild boar. Suddenly a deep rumbling came from inside the jungle and the earth began to shake. It was an earthquake. She fell from the tree that she had been lying in while waiting to pounce. She injured her hind leg but it wasn't a bad injury. She still needed to find a place to heal. It was while resting that she was found by a couple of the guards from the Usafi'Tukufu. Seeing that she was a leopard, they took her to the temple to be healed.
Thurayya loved her freedom but she felt that she owed it to the Usafi'Tukufu to stay for awhile. The colony was apparently suffering from some kind of a sickness and also trying to recover from the earthquake. After healing, she took up the position of a guard. Being a guard allowed her the most freedom within the colony. She has no plans to leave now. It's about time she settled in one place and hopes to help rebuild the colony since they helped her.
What's my secret?: The male that she had cubs with before joining the colony was a lion. Her cubs were born as hybrids. Of course, she would never tell anyone in the colony due to the view on cross-breeding.
