 Chase Henrick ~ Ravenclaw ::: First Year ~ 
Chase found it funny how the names of the four founders were all alliterations. It must've been some coincidence, or maybe the people from centuries ago were obsessed with these alliterations. In any case, Chase already knew most of the school's history. Though the part about the Triwizard Tournament was new, so he jotted down some notes. He felt compelled to ask what the tournament was about, but he held back the urges. It was easier to stay quiet and research about it later.

First Year: Slytherin You Touch Me..I break you.Amanda walked into the classroom and sat down in the back as quietly as possible. Ugh, an actual history lesson, she thought, rolling her eyes. She took out a piece of gum and placed it in her mouth, chewing quietly not to disturb the class or professor. He better not get mad about this, at least I'm paying attention, she thought, actually listening to what he was saying. wearing

Where Durmstrang was, and what kinds of challenges were in the Triwizard Tournament. She quickly lifted her arm into the air, waiting for the professor to call on her to speak. wearing

 First Year ~ Slytherin • mood:
◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌● Upon entering, Juniper waved a greeting to the few she had gotten a chance to know... Joseph, Amanda, Jennifer, and looked about for Eretria. She tried to emanate an approachable air for sake sake of maybe getting to know some of the others as she took a central seat.
As Prof. Powell lectured she took notes from the board, and any bits he'd mention that wasn't there. Then she starting thinking of questions... though it would be silly to ask a question that she had the answer for right in her bag. So she started reading, making notes of pages which had relevant information to the lesson. Though at some point, she started reading a bit more thoroughly - flipping between indexed entries of connected issues... looking for information that must be in here... mustn't it?◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌● {{OOC: .... }} ◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●◌●

 ~Heather Stevia Hawthorn~First Year Hufflepuff Heather wrote down everything the professor was saying, checking her textbook for additional information, and cross-referencing in the index. She looked up from her various books and notes at the professor. Hogwarts is just one of the schools of magic, huh? I wonder what the other ones are...She slowly raised her hand in the air, hoping that Professor Powell knew the answer. Wearing

I've heard about the Triwizard Tournament, but shouldn't there be some other kind of tournament? she wondered. Sovay Róisín ó Súilleabháin Ravenclaw First Year~Sovay took notes quietly. The history of Hogwarts was vaguely interesting, but things she really loved about history she doubted they would touch on. Myths, whispers, rumors about the castle's secrets, the archaic and esoteric, the little known. The quirky stories, the personal history of the ghosts, the tribulations endured. The glamour, the romance, the emotional turmoil surrounding the facts. She bones of the matter was not quite as satisfying. With a sigh, she went back to her notes.

 Shina sat quietly, taking neat notes. She had already read about this, but it never hurt to take notes. Besides, it would remind her of what her teacher considered important come test time. Part of her wanted to ask questions, but after last class, Shina decided to fade into the background for this period instead.  ((OOC: Last post for a few days, unless I can get online while I'm out of town. ))

Eretria walked into class, looking about before she spotted Juniper and Amanda. She walked over to Juniper, giving the girl a small wave as she sat down. She listened closely as Professor Powell explained about the history of the school, but she suddenly was curious. She had the suspicion that there was more to the school than was being mentioned, but couldn't place her finger on it. She however took her notes, waiting for the professor to reply to some of the questions from her peers.

She listened to the Professor as he lectured, copying notes even though she wasn't entirely interested in this topic. Hufflepuff|1st year|Muggle-Born|Single Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood? Steele finally realized why so many Slytherins were discriminatory towards him. It all made sense to him now, and the truth couldn't make him more frustrated. The Slytherins basically were elitist, and believed in pureblood supremacy. This surprised him and actually discomfited him to a magnified degree. Stereotypes, because of stereotypes is why he is treated differently. Will I ever be the same?
