His weak body constantly needed help, and his blindness was obviously a major deal. He was the middle child of three, and was always seen as the one that needed to be babied and cared for. While this was his mother's take on it, his father wanted nothing to do with Zen; such a failure was not needed in the family. However, over the years, Zen's body was broken, then remade into something glorious. He is not buldging and gigantic, but has the power of a bodybuilder incased in a normal body. And due to his connection with Earth Bending, he is able to see movements without being able to actually see.

Xenith was born far out in the middle of nowhere to a beautiful woman named Tonya and a caring father by the name of Coda. The two raised Xenith with compassion and generosity, making sure that they did their best to watch over him like any good parents would. For the most part, they felt like they were doing a good job.
Xenith grew up on his father’s farm helping to heard cattle and cut crops for profit. By doing this, he became a very reliable young man who received the blessing of his father.
One night while Xenith was sleeping soundly at the age of twelve, he heard the cries of his mother from outside their small home. When he walked outside, he found his mother lying dead on the ground. He didn’t know how to handle the situation so he did the only thing he could think of which was run and tell his father who was still asleep. After telling him though, Coda, Xenith’s father, didn’t go outside. Instead, he turned right back around and went back to sleep. This both angered and confused Xenith beyond belief. He didn’t know why his father would so eagerly give up on his own wife.
It wasn’t until Xenith would be sixteen that he learned of his mother’s terrible past. She was betraying the earth kingdom by handing over information about the earth’s status over to the fire nation. Although it wasn’t exactly being a traitor to her country, she was executed in the dead of night none the less.
After hearing about this, Xenith took off, ready to make a name for himself and restore the honor that had been stripped of his family. The only thing he left behind was his father who barely even does anything now that his wife is dead.

Daniel's origins are currently unknown. All he knows is that at a young age, he was left with the Air Nomads when he was just a baby never knowing his own parents. While growing up, the nomads told him of this, but he seemed to harbor no resentment towards his parents. Instead, he felt indebted to the monks for the fact that they were willing to take him in. Because of this feeling of debt, he worked hard with them, and was always wanting to find a way to help defend his new home even though he had no affinity for the elements or weapons.
