I was previously told this did not need a JRP but no certs that I could find were posted for this litter (or at least my boy) before they hit adult, and shop rules say after this point one must obtain a JRP for any cubs in a litter to join their mother's pride. .

Both parents are in the pride, and he was born into it. No JRP is needed for that case, and never has been. If you want him on the pride cert, that's fine. If it's just an excuse for him to leave, that's fine too.
