Tohma's words were no more than background noise, his touch unnoticed. The serpent and his pet puppy held his attention, his mind unable to turn itself away from them, from what it would be like to bleed them dry and feast upon the flesh. The chorus of voices his head now screamed like wild savages, no words, simply howls of hunger and excitement. The beast inside would claim him soon and there would be no resisting it. Particularly not with these two still so close.

Near solid red hues watched as the pair made their way from the apartment, but Kass could not hold himself back, stepping towards the very edge of the landing and let out another unholy howl at the pair, a warning that this was far from over. And with that, the starving creature moved to retreat inside, a small gesture of the dark mutated limb forcing an unseen hand to slam the broken door back into the frame. He would give it a proper fixing later, but for now this would have to suffice for he could not afford to waste his time and energy on something so mundane. It was bad enough he was barely holding on, he didn't need to push the limits to further invoke it.

As for the matter of Mahri, something would need to be done. Even with the chaos of his mind, he had not forgotten her injuries, the most important being the broken limb of the youth. He had to set it now before it healed entirely, a final moment of suffering before she could begin to move past it all. But first thing first, getting into Mahri's room. Knocking and waiting would have been the first choice for Kass, but given the circumstances, he didn't have time to wait for Tohma to unlock the door to let him in, instead the male broke the knob off and forced the door open. Red dominant hues fell upon the pair before he moved for Mahri, seeming to ignore Tohm'as presence for the moment. He just needed to focus on one thing at a time.

"I'm going to break her arm and aid the healing process," The male unintentionally growling as he spoke, "As soon as I lift my hands from her you better get the hell out of my way because it won't be me you're dealing with anymore." Hands moved to take hold of Mahri's arm, looking the damage over and 'causing his stomach to howl loudly and angrily. Damn it. He gave a quick shake of the head before he took the girl's limb and with a swift moment, snapped where the bone had already began to mend itself. No, it wasn't pleasant for anyone present, but it had to be done. So did him having to realign the bone with its other half and the tissue that surrounded it. The sooner he could get the healing process going, the better. His hand gripped the injury itself, the male closing his eyes and focusing on the cells, forcing them to accelerate beyond their natural pace. If she didn't already, she would be left feeling weakened after this, though he hoped her mutated side would not retaliate with a bout of hunger. However, he pushed such thoughts from his head and focused on the matter at hand though his task would not take him long, but it was all the time needed to bring about the danger of his hunger.

Soon his head thrumbed with what sounded to be his own heartbeat whilst starting to feel as if someone had stuffed the empty spaces with cotton as well. Then there was the smell of blood . . . Unmutated fingers reached up, touching just below the nostril. He could feel it, smooth and rich. He was bleeding again, something not uncommon with straining himself as he had. Yet, if there was ever a sigh that he needed to leave now, it was this and it was now.

Yet, something sweeter caught his attention, eyes shifting to look to where it came from and found itself upon Tohma. No, not Tohma, but rather where the other's wound was hidden, still bleeding from before. Thu-thump, thu-thump, thu-thump . . . He was beginning to wonder if it was his own heartbeat or the sound of theirs? Thu-thump, thu-thump . . . "Tohma." The words came out harshly, but he didn't move to look up at the other, continuing to stare at the wound. Thu-thump, thu-thump, thu-thump, thu-thump, thu-thump. Eyes widen, the sea of red swallowed all residue of blue as the last amount of color faded from Kass' hair. Any traces of the man Tohma knew were gone, even the familiar face seemed like that of a stranger. A very dangerous stranger.

Without warning, the creature leaped onto Tohma, shoving him down into the small bed as he opened his mouth, letting out howl that was anything but natural. The mutated hand grabbed at Tohma's face, forcing him to turn his head as the creature leaned in until the tip of his nose was a breath's length from that favored artery that ran through the neck, pulsing just beneath the skin, sniffing at the other and savouring that sweet aroma. A low, hungered growl emitted from the beast as he took a second more to linger before he finally released Tohma. However, the creature seemed to disappear in the same moment. Only the open window had told of where he had vanished to, out into the city to cause chaos, but not before heading to the call of the blood of two sirens (Chrom & Aria) still so very close.
