Tallulah was still trying to knock the cobwebs out of her head when Aerodactyl resumed it's offensive. As a result, she was hit by the first of the chunks of rock. And it hurt. Quite a lot. But it did knock the fog out of her brain, clearing her head. "Tallulah! Can you hear me?! Can you use Hydro Pump now?"
"Dra? Sea seadra sea!" The dragon Pokemon nodded, her powerful tail uncoiling and propelling her from one place to another as she evaded the remaining stones, some more gracefully than others. She did get hit by a few of the smaller ones, they moving faster than the larger ones and harder to see. Once she felt she had a decent shot, she'd unload a massive torrent of water aimed for Aerodactyl, trying to wash it away now. And for good reason. She was exhausted already. That Ancient Power was strong and she didn't have a lot of experience with fighting, after all.

That Ancient Power was strong and she didn't have a lot of experience with fighting, after all. The Hydro Pump would strike true, slamming into the Aerodactyl and sending it flying across the field where it would eventually fall onto the ground at the Ace Trainer's feet. "Aero...dac..." Moaned the Pokemon one last time before it fainted. "..." The Ace Trainer said nothing in response, he just looked down at his Pokemon for a brief moment before recalling it to its Heavy Ball. The man would then give Lykas an equally brief glare before motioning to the stairs behind him, still staying quiet. Once Lykas began to make his way up the stares the Ace Trainer would break his silence and speak one word. "Win."

Lykas let out a sigh of relief when the Aerodactyl hit the ground and didn't get back up. He recalled Tallulah with a word of thanks to her before he began to ascend the stairs, stopping for only the briefest moment as he passed the Ace Trainer. "Thanks for the challenge." He'd say calmly. When he was spoken to, even if only the one word, he turned back and gave a thumbs up to the trainer. "I intend to. You lot gave me a lot of preparation for this battle." He assured before he continued on up the stairs.

He'd say calmly. When he was spoken to, even if only the one word, he turned back and gave a thumbs up to the trainer. "I intend to. You lot gave me a lot of preparation for this battle." He assured before he continued on up the stairs. As Lykas made it to the top he would find himself on the outside of the tower now, standing on what seemed to be one giant balcony jutting out the side of the tower at the top most part. The floor of the balcony was one big intricately decorated battlefield, just like all the other platforms he had fought on. This particular one was designed to resemble a Mega Lucario surrounded by smaller versions of the other battlefield designs he had seen before to form one big mural of Mega Pokemon. Another Lykas might notice is that when he entered the tower it was day but now he was being greeted to a beautiful view of the full moon, the lunar body casting its soft light on the battlefield. "I really love this place! When I'm here with my Pokémon, looking at the wide-open sky above, all worries disappear, and I feel like I can do anything!" A young girl spoke as she looked up at the full moon, her back facing Lykas. "I've been watching you ever since you started your way up, you have faced a lot of hardships to get up here haven't you?" She said, now turning around to face Lykas with a big smile on her face. The blonde haired girl sported what seemed to be skating gear, her ponytail sticking out of a white helmet strapped to her head. She wore a pair of fingerless gloves but only one of them stood out as a peculiar gem stone glimmered on it. The girl would take a Pokeball out of her pocket and hold it in hand as she gave Lykas one final look over. "Know who I am? I am Korrina, the Gym Leader of Shalour City. More importantly I am the Mega Evolution Successor, your final challenge in earning the right to Mega Evolve your own Pokemon. For generations my family has tested trainers to see if they are prepared to harness such power. Many have failed this final test. Think you are ready?" She asked Lykas, her smile fading.

When Lykas finally reached the top of the tower, his first impression was of the beatiful moon overhead. "Hello, gorgeous." He greeted the sight, realizing that he had been in this tower all day and part of the night. It explained much about why he was so tired now. He took notice of the floor mural by now, noticing it's intricacies and the level of detail. It was beautiful. And probably valuable. He'd have to see what a mural like this could fetch.
"I have. The trainers on the way up gave me a good warm-up before I got here, so now I'm raring for the toughest battle of my life." He told her, grabbing a Pokeball. He knew who was starting this battle off on his side. It was about that time he noticed her glove. It had a gemstone in it but it didn't appear to be anything like the ones he'd seen before. It was perfectly smooth and looked spherical from where he stood with a strange symbol in it's center.
"Korrina, huh?" He'd have to remember that for later. "Oh, a Gym Leader and the Mega Evolution Successor? Does that mean I get a badge, too, if I win?" He wondered aloud. "But to be serious for a moment, yes, I am ready. As I'll ever be, I suppose." He held his Pokeball for now. He wanted to see what he was up against before sending his partner into battle against it.

"Good, then they have done their job." Korrina giggled. "No badge though, if you win here. Defeat me and you will receive what you came here for though, a Key Stone like mine." She said, holding up her gloved fist with the backside facing Lykas so he could get a good look at the Key Stone embedded in the glove.
"Mega Evolution is the ultimate manifestation of the bond between Pokemon and trainer. Only the most skilled trainers can harness the power of Mega Evolution, and only with Pokemon they possess a truly unbreakable bond with. This tower has tested your determination and willpower. While I will do the same I will also be judging the bond you possess with your Pokemon and whether or not I believe you will use this power properly. So come, let us begin your final test. I, Korrina, the Mega Evolution Successor, accept your challenge." With all that said the young woman tossed her Pokeball onto the field, the device hitting the ground and bursting open in a show of light.
"Lucario!" Shouted the blue fox-like creature as it appeared from the ball, flexing its limbs as it appeared. The Pokemon was wearing some sort of armband with a stone similar to Korrina's Key Stone embedded in it, however of a different color.
"Lucario, it's time to test and judge another trainer. Let us show them the power they are attempting to harness! Mega Evolve!" Korrina shouted as she threw her gloved fist back up into the air and with her other hand pressed two fingers on the Key Stone, causing it to give off a dazzling show of light, Lucario's own stone giving off an equally bright display.
With a shout unto the night sky, Lucario's body would be surrounded by a fierce glow. An orb of light would then rapidly form around the Pokemon, quickly taken on the shape of what seemed to be a giant round gem. The seemingly crystallized energy would completely encase Lucario like a cocoon but only briefly as it soon completely shattered and disappeared. Lucario could now be seen once again, however its appearance had changed. Now a bit taller and bulkier with additional spikes on its body, the appendages on the back of its head longer, its fur thicker and more bushy and red colored fur on its hands and feet.
Lykas would not be blind to the fact that the Lucario gained an incredible increase in power and strength, even the look in its eyes was one of power. The chi this Pokemon possessed was almost like that of a legendary Pokemon, maybe not quit to that level but it was the best way to describe it. To think this change took place in mer seconds, truly amazing.
"Say hello to Mega Lucario." Korrina smiled. "Come at us with everything you got...you must."

"I have two." Lykas reminded himself, choosing to simply get this battle started rather than prolong the conversation. Upon the appearance of Lucario, he started to release his Pokemon into the battlefield but froze when Korrina commanded her Lucario to mega evolve. Oh? He'd get to witness the event in action, would he? He watched with deep curiosity as the gym leader touched the stone in her glove and her Pokemon howled skyward.
That transformation stunned him for a moment before he was able to get himself going again. "Impressive." It would be a lie to say he wasn't intimidated by the form of Mega Lucario but he refused to back down, either. So it was time to get started.
"Furor! Let's get started!" He called out as he released the Garados into the battlefield. The Immense serpent appeared, hovering just slightly above the ground. Maybe that was why it was classified as a Flying type? He'd think about that more later. For now, he decided to take the first move in this battle. "Flamethrower, Furor!"
Rather than an immense stream of fire, Furor produced a single white-hot flame that shot towards Mega Lucario like a bullet, searing the ground as it passed over it. Ok....Incinerate wasn't the same thing as Flamethrower but it was still a Fire-type move. Maybe he hadn't been using his Pokemon in battle as much as he'd thought lately? Too many hybrids and channelers wanting to fight with him. He'd have to remedy that as soon as possible. He could have sworn he'd thought her to use Flamethrower, though.

Korrina ordered as soon as the Incinerate was fired off. The Lucario responded to the command by throwing up a single hand at the incoming fireball, a blue aura of energy appearing around it. The Incinerate would make it a few feet away from the Lucario before it appeared to just explode from Lykas and Furor's point of view. Things would quickly become more clear however as a small but incredibly fast moving ball of blue energy blasted its way through the resulting cloud of smoke, the ball locked on to its target that is Furor.

Lykas was just as stunned as Furor was that her attack was blocked so easily. The hybrid couldn't remember ever seeing an attack blocked so easily, his own or anyone else's. The attack whizzed towards them with incredible speed and obvious power trapped within. "Bounce, Furor!" Evasion was the best option for the moment.
The Gyarados nodded and slammed her tail into the floor, thrusting her immense body skyward, up and over the Aura Sphere. Unfortunately for her, she failed to see it following her as she came crashing back down tail over head, aiming to slam her large tail down onto the Mega Pokemon, wrapped in wind. Whether she succeeded or not, she'd find herself struck in the back by the Aura Sphere, not realizing that it was capable of following her.

Shouted the canine as the Gyarados landed flat on it, completely crushing the Lucario as the much smaller creature disappeared from sight underneath the leviathan. "That doesn't look like it felt good, huh?" Korrina said with a smile. "Lucario, Circle Throw!" The gym leader ordered. The command would be followed by several seconds of nothing leaving Lykas to maybe thinking that his Gyarados had knocked out the opposing Pokemon with its weight alone. That thought would soon be banished though as Furor would slowly be raised into the as the much smaller Pokemon used its 'Mega' strength to pick it up. Was certainly a comical sight to behold when you compared sizes. "Lucariooo!" Roared the Aura Pokemon as it grabbed a hold of the sea serpent's tail and with a quick spin that made the Gyarados look lightweight the Lucario flung the Pokemon around in a circle twice before letting it go and sending it flying towards Lykas.

Lykas wasn't dumb enough to think this was over that easily. He was actually more afraid Furor's attack had completely missed. Korrina's smug attitude about just made that more likely. This Pokemon's chi levels screamed overpowered so it wouldn't have surprised him if it had moved to avoid the attack at the last possible second and now stood behind him, laughing.
That proved to not be the case when Mega Lucario lifted Furor off the ground, or her midsection at least(it was liking picking up a wet noodle, after all), and escaped her weight. The rapid grab and spin sent the immense serpent careening towards him like some goliathan fish out of water, flipping and flailing uselessly until she stopped. "Furor?" He asked, worriedly. That had looked incredibly painful. "Are you alright?"
"Gyaaaaaah." The pseudo dragon replied, slowly managing to slither around and upright again. She looked like she had plenty of energy but she was covered in scrapes and bruises after that. "Good. But you're done for now. Rest up in case I need you later." He told her, recalling the serpent. He refused to put her through more of that abuse just now. Hopefully Mykel could his own here. Korrina's seemed to be favoring her Fighting-type moves so he should resist those a bit better. "Psychic!" He called as he released the Gardevoir from his ball. The attack came as a massive wall of psionic energy the instant Mykel appeared from his ball, intended to deflect incoming attacks for a few seconds and just maybe hit the enemy.
"Ready, boss!" the Gardevoir exclaimed, standing before his master, now.

The blast of Psychic energy was unavoidable, the Mega Lucario just instead braced its self for the attack, enduing it without much of a reaction to it even though it was a Super Effective move. Korrina didn't seem too happy about the direct hit but she also didn't seem too worried, the Aura Pokemon still had more than enough fight left in it. "Lucario, Metal Claw!" She commanded, making a clawing motion at the air for emphasis. With a nod the Lucario would sling its fists down at its sides, long blade-like claws made of silver energy suddenly forming on the back of its fists. Now armed with large solid energy claws the Mega Lucario would display impressive speed and jumping abilities as it dashed towards the Gardevoir briefly and then leaped high into the air, coming down upon the Fairy claws first with an extreme amount of force.

Lykas didn't need to speak to communicate with Mykel here. The Gardevoir saw the look in his eye and knew what to do, waiting until Lucario got close and Teleporting behind it to avoid the attack, throwing one of his own a moment later. "Thunderbolt!"
"You got it, boss!" Mykel replied, his body sparking for a brief instant before lightning arced from him toward the Mega Lugario. Lykas wouldn't risk using that escape move too frequently because of the high risk of getting hit before they could pull it off. Korrina might take advantage of that so he'd need to be careful now.

Lykas and Mykel had taken them by surprise once already but they would need to be a little more crafty to do it again. Korroina would prove to be just as quick as her Pokemon as the moment she realized the Gardevoir was teleporting she called out a command. "Me First!" She said very quickly. The Lucario would of course miss, slamming its claws into the field which kicked up a good bit of rubble. As Mykel fired off the Thunderbolt a white glow would surround Mega Lucario, the electricity disappearing for a brief second but soon reappearing as it instead fired off from the Aura Pokemon's body and was sent flying at Mykel, the Pokemon never even moving from its crouched position.

Mykel groaned at this point. Of course they'd have a way to counterattack that. "Moonblast, Mykel!" Lykas called out. The Gardevoir nodded and, sweeping his hand through the air, released a crescent blast of lunar energy toward the incoming attack, aiming to cancel it out.
"I'd call stealing someone else's attack cheating." Mykel stated plainly, sidestepping gracefully in order to keep in motion.
