He shook his head once more to rid his mind of the wariness and homesickness that he continued to feel. He was a trained warrior, there was no way he was going to allow himself to crumble because the cold water and the darkness of the sea were making him miss the land above. He was stronger than that.

Roll response: 20. While following the mer brothers down, you notice something moving in the dark. What is that reaching toward you? +10 points
He glanced about out of curiosity. There was something off about the area they were in. Not that he knew much of how the ocean was supposed to work, but he had a gut feeling that something wasn't quite right. Camlann squinted down, trying to see what could possibly be down in the darkness, and he paused for a moment as he thought he saw something move... Was it headed towards them? Was that what they would be facing in the time to come?

Another riddle telling serpent was blocking the path. With a roll of his eyes, Camlann answered the riddle after a few moment to think of the answer.

Roll response: 15. No, don't go towards the light -- that beautiful light means DEATH! You're so close to your destination, but taking this path will lead to certain doom. -3 points.
The warm comforting light was back. Camlann wanted to drift towards it, stay in the safety it provided by allowing him to see -- how he was starting to hate the depths even more now that the light had returned -- and fending off some terrible creature... But why was it back? Was the light, perhaps, attached to another creature, one that would do them harm and try to eat them? The draft stallion shook his head and cleared his mind, trying to focus on the task at hand. Once his mind was no longer wandering in thought, he realized he had been moving off the path towards the beautiful light and quickly turned himself around to rejoin the mer brothers and the group that he had been brought down into the water with.

After returning to the path for what seemed like the twelfth time, though he wasn't really counting how many times he had strayed off of it, the stallion noticed something off in the distance and he started moving towards it. It looked like a tube... a leather case with a strap meant to go over the shoulders. A map case! While he wasn't going to open it up now, Camlann carefully pulled the case over his head so he could hold on to the map for later use. If he didn't seek out whatever the map lead to, he was sure he could trade it for some sort of valuable.

Roll response: 12. You're swimming down deep among the kelp, and unfortunately end up fleeing from some undersea hunters who would have you for dinner. -1 point
He hadn't realized the map case he had picked up was in a kelp forest, one that had hunters lurking in it. When he had heard the terrible blood curdling laughs and the hungry tone to the hunters voices, Camlann knew his best bet was to leave the kelp immediately, rather than distract himself from the mer brothers' quest. The hunters were low on his list of priorities and he wanted to make it out of the Kelp forest alive and without having wasted more energy than necessary.
