Classic CatDesigner: Ultrabord Model: Danielle Description: There were so many different styles I could have chosen, but I decided to start with a simple outfit to fit the challenge. After trying several different looks, I chose this cat-themed design since cats and fashion often go hand in hand. Danielle is dressed as a young girl who loves cats so much she even dresses to match her beloved pet. I especially like the way the sweater with the cat, the skirt, and the stockings look together. I chose light but bright pink and blue since it goes well with the young, girlish style, and it was easier to match these colors and coordinate the outfit; also I really like the way bubblegum pink brings out the girlish beauty of Danielle.

1: milk cap Positives: The judges loved your design, and especially how it worked with Sheenah. This is some of your best work in the competition so far, and your hard work's paid off. Great stuff! Negatives: Minor nitpicks, such as the earring and some of the color matching, docked you a few points. Other than that, there were no major complaints.
2: AmberEmma Positives: The judges really enjoyed your use of the desk to fill the empty space! It's creative and stands out among the crowd, and makes Wanda look cute but still eye catching. The feeling of a student during or after school is conveyed clearly. Negatives: Her skirt is clipping through the desk, and it's distracting. Your description could use a little bit more meat as well.
3: elphiethesane Positives: A neat and complete look, with a strong theme and description that works well and puts together a solid image. Your personal interest in the look you made was a big plus. Negatives: The horns and tail are superfluous, and you could have lost them in favor of other accessories. The monochrome look is a little bland, and could have used a spot of color other than Chantal's hair.
4: Dante Dolly Positives: The personality and look you gave Melissa ties in well together, and the judges really appreciated the comical description of her diva attitude. Negatives: The outfit looks a bit anemic. You could have used a different dress to fill more space, or a different colored fur to complement the dress rather than the white one - it ends up blending into Melissa's hair and looking a little blobby.
5: HCTotorro Positives: Your looks are incredibly creative, and often the judges are blown away by what you come up with. This look's no exception, and stands out clearly among the rest. You took the challenge and ran with it, and your technical skill and imagination shines through in the outfit and description given. Negatives: Your creativity sometimes carries you away, and this look in particular doesn't say Nicki, it says what your description says it is. You could put a whole different face on this model and the effect would be the same.
6: Tink_Bel Positives: The color scheme fits with itself and with Helen to a T, and the creativity of the theme is well thought out and unique. Negatives: The more the judges looked at it, the more it fell apart. One judge described the legmod as looking a bit like a diaper. If it had been broadened to a more childlike look, it would have worked better rather than 'tomboy'.
7: Alesaan Positives: The dress is hard to work with, but you pulled it off well - it's a very beautiful avatar. Your description is good, and illuminates your design process well. Negatives: The clothes look as if they're swallowing Sarah alive, and the lack of blue to tie the avatar together was disappointing.
8: x_suicide_is_inevitable_x Positives: The look complements itself and matches well, and works well with Ella. Your description creates a strong theme, and the focus is clear - overall, it's a well-put together product. Negatives: Unfortunately, the product in question is uninspired. The two colors end up looking lacking, and the dress looks too heavy and ultimately takes up too much of your item space. It's very apparent you only used a small handful of items. Another color could have been added for contrast, or you could have created something with movement or more of a story to get it to stand out.
9: iiiFlames Positives: The outfit is cute and the mismatched browns give it a realistic, almost bohemian look, and works well with Chloe as a model. Negatives: The look is cute, but cute is the only thing really going for it. It engendered a feeling of ambivalence from the judges. The description was lacking and didn't explain why the K-pop song inspired you, nor did you provide a link to your inspiration to make it easier on the judges. We expect more at this stage of the competition than this.

A Magical NightDesigner: Tink_Bel Model: Helen Description: It's a magical night for Helen. After winning Prom Queen she takes to the dance floor with her handsome date. The music is perfect, Helen's dress is beautiful, and the ballroom elegantly decorated. Everything is as it should be. I dressed my model in the lesser known color scheme, midori. Her dress is a layering of three different parts and her jewelry is a light gold. These are complimented with an etoile ballroom and companion. These colors together create a light pastel aura perfect for a beautiful and magical evening.

Challenge 6: Let's Go to the Hop Designer Name: HCTotorro Model Name: Nicki Outfit Title: Just Dance Description: Nicki just wants to dance tonight! She doesn't care about winning prom queen, mainly because there's so many other girls hoping to win that spot and it's waaaay too much drama. Plus, she's been stressed enough about classes so why worry more about competing? Let's just have fun tonight! As I said earlier, I'm going to shy away from backgrounds for a bit unless it's completely necessary. I like to add accents sometimes instead of full backgrounds to evoke an emotion or feeling, which usually get swallowed up in most backgrounds. I cycled through a few different designs tonight... My first idea was to put Nicki in a suit (which I really wanted to do, but there's not very many good male leg mods that fit with what I was going for) and give her a story of not wanting to fit into gender norms or something. Then I thought, okay, maybe half suit/half sexy, but that didn't work either because the sexy leg mods were toooooo disjointed from the suit top, now that I think about it maybe I could have gone with suit bottom and sexy top? Oh well, too late haha My next idea was super elegant long slinky gown, but I felt that has been done before in many other challenges and I also like the idea of a cute and fun puffy skirt dress for things like prom or winter formal or whatever. Anyways, with the final outfit, I had fun again with layering and constructed her dress out of a poofy bottom and an ugly shirt/sweater top thing. I stumbled on an arm mod combo that happened to cut the top juuuuust right Also, I ended up finding the perfect necklace that blended in so well with the top that it looks like it's part of it *On an aside, I've come to realize that I really enjoy putting Nicki in neutral or earth tone colors... After the gem challenge, I remembered that I put her in dark earthy colors for my audition so I guess it makes sense that's what I like seeing her in the most lol

heart First Kiss whee Designer: Sana Minatozaki Model: Chloe Description: The 6th challenge is a bit difficult since the theme makes you think of ballgowns, but I did break the rules and used a dress as Chloe's top, but I did use a long skirt to replace the dress's very short skirt that it has on it, so I guess you can call that layering. I also used a cravat with little frills to match the flow of the long skirt, just to give a touch of movement on my outfit to make it blissful. Overall, this is a classy outfit with a classy concept and story. And speaking of stories, the story of this outfit is about Chloe having her first kiss at midnight on a prom, with her date at a bridge with a romantic view, they confessed their love for each other, and her date comes close to her lips, giving her what Chloe longs for her entire life; a romantic kiss. Shy Chloe timidly tries to cover her lips, but his date grabs her right arm to stop her from doing so, and so he kissed her. Chloe's in a state of bliss because she's very happy to have her first kiss on a perfect night with a perfect date.

Fashionably Late Model: Sarah Designer: Alesaan Description: The "invitation" for the graduating class said their prom would start at 7pm for some hors d'oeuvres, followed by a three course meal and then the dance floor would open. Sarah and her date couldn't have cared less. The traditional get a bunch of friends together to get ready, have their families take too many photos, then off in the group limo to arrive at a generic hotel downtown whose food was maybe a step or two above cafeteria food at best? Not their scene. Sarah's date took her to some Spanish tapas place on the opposite side of town where they stumbled through the pronunciations, ordered way too many small plate tapas, and polished it all off with only minor grease stains on their formal wear and probably only packing on an extra pound or two. They even got a group shot with the kitchen staff and owner -it was a slow night at the restaurant and high schoolers in formal wear who didn't know what the heck they were ordering were too much fun to not mess with and chat up. And when the kitchen saw the oddball pairings and saw that the amount of food they were making was for only two skinny kids, they had a good laugh. So the owner wanted to snap a pic, and they snapped one for the couple too. A good forty five minutes into the dancing (and 2 and half hours late to the prom), the couple is all grins and anticipation exiting his old beat up muscle car, ready to show up fashionably late and get their groove on. But before he gives the valet his keys, he sees Sarah in front of his other love (his car of course), and how the moon illuminates her from behind in the near summer twilight, and begs her to stop to snap a photo on his phone. No matter what the night holds, or the summer and years thereafter, he knows he wants this photo. ********** Alrighty, so I designed this outfit first, then hair accessory, then background. I tried not to have a scene in mind but to see what the outfit would decide as to what prom relevant backgrounds would compliment it. I went back to Sarah's punk roots clearly wanted also wanted elegance in her look. The ombre on the dress, plus the skin bearing cutouts, plus the hip chains were a must for me. I played around with gloves and found some great ones, but neither the very punk style nor the more elegant long gloves spoke to me. And I totally wore a leather jacket over my prom dress 'cuz I love that look so it just took me a bit of searching to find one that was the right length as to where it fell on her dress (plus didn't have either too many or too little adornments on it). The tentacle tights that come with the ankle booties I absolutely love. Ditto for her jeweled headpiece. I had to think on them a bit, as they're clearly eclectic and could easily count against me. But I really believe they enhance her dress with the contrast, as well as strike me as items that would be very personal to the wearer as to how the person chose these items out of the tens of thousands of choices for formal wear. Same old hardships of not being able to use action poses/bare arms as they would get rid of her tattoos, and finding head wear items that work with her hair is always tricky. Also different than normal for me was that I designed this as if I was Sarah putting together a prom outfit she would want to wear, rather than Alesaan the designer is creating this awesome outfit for my model to show off my design skills (or lack there of lol). So that was a very different take for me. Overall, I designed an outfit I think is amazing and something Sarah would completely put together for herself, but expect it to be super polarizing and probably not that popular. {{I can see people seeing it as too cluttered, and too much personality. Which I can't argue with 'cuz I can see how they would see it that way, but at the same time I don't share that sentiment}}

Homestaying QueenDesigner: Dante Dolly Model: Melissa Descriptions: Prom is the first big event in a young girl's life. Unless she can't afford it. Here Melissa is in her pajamas, because why bother changing when you have no place to go? Still she couldn't resist cloaking herself in a blanket cape and wearing the paper crown her little sister made just for her, while she pines out the open window overlooking the run-down part of town where she lives. She might have been able to find a dress at Goodwill to go, but she never could have afforded the cover charge and she had no way to get there. So for tonight she's the Homestaying Queen. This theme struck a chord with me because I never got to go any school dances in my youth, because I could never afford them. There was always one financial hurdle or another to keep me from going and even though I tried not to care, I was often left feeling mournful. That's what I wanted to depict with Melissa, because not every girl has the same experience of prom. I started out with cute but simple pajamas, a tank top and some night pants. Then I knew I wanted a paper crown to get across that feeling of substitutions that often comes with being poor (fake brands, generic food, etc.). Initially I wanted Melissa's sister from the story in the shot, but none of the companions would layer properly. The outfit or arms, no matter the combo, just would not work. So I replaced the sibling with a blanket cape to match the crown, to better reinforce the idea of "queen" garments. I knew right away I wanted the derelict background to set a scene, but finding a room to put her in was remarkably difficult. Most rooms on Gaia are far too cheery and it really burned the effect. But then luck tripped me over the one she's wearing. I liked the cobweb corner especially. I realized toward the end that altogether the crown and blanket and previous tank top looked almost too bright against the soft colors of the rest of the avatar. So I changed the top to a softer color so that if you were to remove the queenly bits she just looks natural and sad, but opted to let the the extras stand off to better illustrate the idea. I also added a tear mod as a final touch (which has been allowed before so I hope is okay now?) In the end, I'm happy with how it turned out, if a bit sad that I denied poor Melissa prom.

Blue BelleDesigner: milk cap Model: Sheenah Description:As I said in the chat forum, I have no idea what a real prom is like. Whenever I look at prom dresses, they're rather plain, not very fitting for a contest like this. Or maybe I just like lots of details? Anyway, I had some trouble with this theme, because before this entry I had two other looks that I actually loved, but they felt lackluster. Perhaps I'll regret not choosing one of my other designs, but nonetheless, I'm satisfied with my entry and I think I improved my layering along the way! For Sheenah, I imagined that her outfit would either go semi-formal rebel or over-the-top belle of the ball. As you can clearly see, I went with the latter. Although Sheenah would be one to break tradition and show up in something casual or something typically worn by men, I think that she would also love to surprise her peers and show up in an extravagant gown. For the actual outfit, I drew some inspiration from avant-garde fashion. I started with the underlying dress that gives her the collar adorned with white roses. Then, to match, a sheer skirt with roses crawling up from the hem. I used an armmod to mirror her sassy personality and realized it made the collar look weird, so I added some rose sleeves that are barely distinguishable from the collar but cover up the layering error. I layered the skirt with another skirt that has an ombre from pink to blue, and to set off the pink/purple I used a pinkish-purple necklace. Though not noticeable, I used a legmod with heels. I didn't use a background, due to the lack of fitting backgrounds, but I did use a halo that fills in the negative space and brings attention to Sheenah's face.

Queen of the SchoolDesigner: AmberEmma Model: Wanda Description: Picture this, the principal stand on stage ready to announce the Prom Queen. Many gather around awaiting the answer but they already know who will be crowned queen. She won't be crowned because of her beauty or compassion, but because of her power. With everyone in the school at her fingertips, she can get whatever she want's whenever she wants. There's no one who would dare stand up to her, no one who would vote against her. At hearing her name called she is ecstatic, despite knowing that she would win. Taking her crown along with her seat, the spotlight shone on her illuminating her in front of the crowd. Everyone knew that she was more than just Prom Queen, for she was the Queen of the School. Okay now for this one I wanted to tell more of a story. Being an almost evil queen doesn't quite suit Wanda's sweet little face but at the same time, I just knew I had to go with this idea. Now up here in good old Canada we don't have prom, so I'm not too sure if that's even how things play out but I still hope it's good. I saw the legs for this outfit and in my opinion, this whole outfit would collapse without those legs to support them. The hard part was finding a top that could blend in well with the legs. I found one with no straps and it just felt as though it was made for the legs. The background I really like because it adds a spotlight to her face and I feel like that helps draw attention to it.

Vintage FlingDesigner: Ultrabord Model: Danielle Description: I am absolutely in love with the 1920's flapper style, and it fits the dance theme perfectly. This young lady is headed out for a late-night dance, and maybe a chance at love~ Her parents might not be too happy if they knew she was always going out so late. although there's a chance that they too are headed to an evening party with their wealthy friends. I chose gold as the main color since it was incredibly difficult to find good flapper items, since Gaia doesn't have very many. However, I found one decent dress and tried to build the outfit around it- plus, gold is a good color for Danielle. Additionally, the 1920s was known for lavish parties and so gold fits the idea of the nouveau riche living out their dreams. I did my best to balance out the avatar- not make it too cluttered, but add enough decoration to give it a touch of glitz.

Dapper DateDesigner: elphiethesane Model: Chantal Description: One of the early ideas I had for this round, based on an item I saw while brainstorming, was to do a suit rather than a dress. It seemed like an interesting route that I doubted other contestants would do. And while with that fancy hair Chantal is far from un-girly, I could imagine her maybe setting that aside for a night to let someone else shine. Wouldn’t it be nice to let your girlfriend be the belle of the ball for the evening? I set about trying to find a suitable companion to work with, however there seem to be very few female companion items, and fewer still even remotely suitably dressed for a dance. I tried several outfit possibilities to match those girls, but ultimately they kept falling flat, with some item not layering correctly or color schemes not working. I ultimately abandoned the idea of her exactly matching her date and came up with this outfit instead. It’s an outfit I adore, and was a lot harder to put together than it might look, as I originally tried to have her wearing the jacket but struggled to find items that layered together properly. But that difficulty ended up with me using an item that gives her a real attitude, which is part of the reason I love the outfit. Unfortunately, she doesn’t match her date as much as I would like. I did pick that particular recolor because I felt the mutual red at least somewhat tied them together, but it’s still not as connected as I would like. I considered just entering her on her own, but that just looked too bland. I also considered entering her with a male companion that matches better but ultimately couldn’t bring myself to compromise the original idea in that way. Not to mention if I had, I have no idea what the new “story” would be or how I’d describe it. The ghost thing is a little weird and arbitrary, but at least she’s still a girl, and Chantal could still be trying to let her be the belle of the ball for the evening. Hell, it might be even more important to her than a regular girl... Maybe she never got the chance to be in the spotlight in life! I will admit, it’s not as strong an entry as I would have liked. I was playing around with some ideas that would better match the ghost girlfriend without matching colors exactly, mostly dealing with transparency and/or abandoning the suit idea entirely, but have failed to come up with anything that works and have just realized I’m out of time (I misread the date and thought I had another day). Regardless, I still like the outfit at the end of the day despite its simplicity. It’s a stylish look for a dance, and a suit is not a likely route for anyone else to have taken. And for fun, all the angles because ghost girlfriend is too cute, and also I like how the outfit works in all of them.

MetamorphosedDesigner: x_suicide_is_inevitable_x Model: Ella Description: When I think of prom, I first think of four things: overly fancy (and expensive) dresses, horrible music, disappointment, and the California Academy of Sciences. I never understood why girls went through so much trouble (and spend so much time and money) to get "gussied up" when the same people attending the prom are the ones who see them in tank tops and jean shorts. I do like to look at dresses (and criticize them cynically) because they're pretty, but I would rather spend the time with someone hanging out and learning about them than worrying about getting sweat or food on a $200+ piece of clothing they'll wear once. The music at almost every fancy school dance I've ever been to was nothing befitting the elegance of the clothes, and most of it sounded like the same "song" with (barely) different voices, even if I did end up liking some of the songs years later. Of the four nice dances I remember going to, the first, Winter Ball in my sophomore year, was fun, even though I was nervous around so many upperclassmen, the second, Winter Ball in my junior year, was somewhat disappointing because the friend I went with was apparently dating someone already but didn't tell me and went with me anyway. (I was pretty oblivious, so it's partly my fault, but some honesty would've been nice. One of our mutual friends told me days later, which stung, but I didn't hold it against anyone but myself for long.) For my Junior Prom, the person I had asked to go with me, one of my best friends, said "sure", but then waffled so long and decided it wasn't their thing, so I went with one of my other best friends and her date, but the best part was seeing someone I hadn't seen in four years (who had grown at least a foot) and my other friends who were there. The same friend I had asked out for Junior Prom did the same thing my senior year, which was not entirely unexpected, but it still hurt a lot because, by then, I had figured out I'd fallen for them. Anyway, I was hoping the Senior Ball (not called prom, oddly) would be held at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, because it had been three years earlier and I hadn't been there since elementary school, but they chose the California Academy of Sciences instead, which had reopened after renovations a year or two before. The only thing I was excited about there was the planetarium shows, because my grandma had already taken me there three or four times after the reopening and we'd seen almost everything, except for the planetarium show. I got inside and made straight for the dome, but then I found out it was closed for the night. I spent almost half of the time that I was there at the chocolate fountain talking to the caterers (who were very nice) and most of the rest of the time with my friends by the karaoke tables that had been set up. I think the best thing from the entire experience was learning I loved to do karaoke, even if it would take seven years to gain the confidence to do it in public. The California Academy of Sciences has two large spheres on the entry floor: the planetarium and the rainforest habitat. I am afraid of bugs - yes, all insects - myself, so when my grandma, who had a membership, brought my cousins and me to the Cal Academy, and they wanted to see the rainforest exhibit, I was skittish the whole way in, freaked out within five to ten minutes, and left the sphere to wait for them. Sure, the plants were cool, and the butterflies were pretty from afar, but when they breached the five foot radius of my comfort bubble, I was out of there. My grandma chided me about my fear of insects and spiders every time it came up, and that time was no exception. I didn't make a big deal about her complaints, but plenty of people have made fun of me about that, so I learned to ignore it most of the time. Bullies have been a common occurrence in my life, and I can't honestly say I've forgiven and forgotten all of them, nor can I brush it off with "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", because yes, it made me stronger in some ways, but it has also damaged me in ways I can't even imagine how to fix. Despite my extreme dislike of them, I am kind of like a butterfly myself, albeit more like a chrysalis at this point. (Not that I'm calling myself beautiful, nor ugly; it's just an analogy for a transitional stage of life.) The challenge is prom, so I took that idea and created a look inspired by butterflies with a personal twist. They start out as caterpillars, slow and not the prettiest, but with a desire and drive to be something more. They inch along, satisfying their hunger under the watchful eyes of predators, and when they're ready, make a tough shell to protect them while they change. Time passes, and when they emerge from behind the walls they've put up between them and the world, they show all who see them that they've become something stronger and more beautiful than what they once were. Ella has a sort of childish pout on her face, but, when paired with some eyeshadow and mascara, gains an older, more seductive look. I was tempted to put Ella in a suit, because she does look good in more traditionally masculine clothes, but her hair looks like it was made for prom, so I crossed that option off the list. Shorter dresses were the "in" thing when I was in high school, and, when I first started the design process, thought "What style would work best with a butterfly theme?" My very first choice ended up being the final: a kimono. It has long, elegant sleeves which look almost akin to wings unfurling, it's a shorter one, perfect for late Spring to early Summer weather in California, and the geisha who wear them are said to be graceful in every move they make. I chose it primarily because of the butterfly theme, but the colors also work well with Ella's skin, hair, and eyes. It was hard to find something for her head, as it seemed pretty bare, even with the pin and sticks, but then I came across the headband entirely by chance and its colors match so well with the kimono, I knew I had to use it. The beaded necklace almost looked like a mesh to me, so I used it to offset the amount of purple in the outfit, and I added the hanging jewels as well because they seem like some kind of ballroom decorations, as well as representative of the jewel tones of butterfly wings and looking like hanging chrysalises. Instead of using the bulky chandelier from one of the Vault items, I chose the dappled lighting effect, since having a chandelier in the background made the whole thing top-heavy. The only problem I felt truly conflicted about was if the necklace right over the lining of the folds of her kimono should be a bolder orange or a lighter, more creamsicle shade. I tried both, and they were both very pretty, but the lighter one was just a bit too big and made it look like the neckline was lower. I also decided to use a legmod that didn't have shoes, because, at every single dance, we weren't allowed to have our shoes on inside, unless we went to the bathroom, and I felt as though this particular one creates a sense of Ella floating, like a butterfly hovering over a flower it likes. Overall, I'm pleased with the result, even if it doesn't fit the typical idea of prom, because it means more to me than a frilly dress and and a plastic crown. Was my school the only one who didn't have prom queens and/or kings? I remember they had them for homecoming, but that was it. And yay for getting the resizing thing to work almost perfectly! My love of Japanese culture has nothing to do with the choice of dress, pshh what you talkin' 'bout.

This was one of the harder rounds to judge because there wasn't any bad submission. It's getting to that point though where everyone has skills, and everyone is really learning what looks good on their models, so it's becoming smaller and smaller details that takes someone from being on top versus being on the bottom.
The winner is elphiethesane, congratulations! Sadly Tink_Bel and Sana Minatozaki are out. elphie, let us know if you'd like to continue with Chantal, or switch to Helen or Chloe. You can message Astralotte or myself with your decision.
Tink_Bel (Helen)
Positives; This was a cute look, and it definitely fit the challenge. It was a clear prom look. Negatives; It was just a bit lack luster, and the etoile color scheme has been seen multiple times on Helen, and it makes the looks blur together. There wasn't anything that excited us about this look, even though there wasn't anything wrong with it either.
HCTotorro (Nicki)
Positives; We love the movement of the whole thing, and Nicki looks great. Short dress was a great decision. Negatives; The background was a little off, and as great as Nicki looks in earth tones, she also looks good in deep and rich colors. Even a pop of something non earth tone could go a long way.
Sana Minatozaki (Chloe)
Positives; Your description improved so much! Chloe looks great, and the whole color composition is lovely. Negatives; This look didn't say prom. It said date night, and compared to the other submissions, it was just lacking as a result. We know there aren't a lot of companion items either that fit prom, but choosing to give her a date all bundled up while she wasn't bundled up just added to some of the disjointed feeling and took it farther away from saying prom.
Alesaan (Sarah)
Positives; This is a great look, especially on Sarah. Embraces her punk aesthetic with her hair and tattoos, an impressive feat, and it just feels like prom entirely. Great look. Negatives; Far too much description, even if it had a great story, it became a chore to read it and you never want to make judges feel like something is a chore. The tiara is also a bit distracting with all the different jewels, somethings a little simpler would have benefited the over all look.
Dante Dolly (Melissa)
Positives; We always love seeing your creativity with these challenges, and this was no different. It's another good description too. Negatives; There was nothing technically wrong with this, even as far as nitpicking goes it just would have been nice to see Melissa a little less covered up.
milk cap (Sheenah)
Positives; The dress created throught the skirt layering is just gorgeous, and the colors are lovely all together. It's also a good description, and liked how it brought out Sheenah's personality. Negatives; There was something a little plain about it, and the orange hair stood out a bit. The hair is a challenge, we all know it is, but the beautiful and delicate colors don't compliment it very well, so it ends up standing out.
AmberEmma (Wanda)
Positives; The story comes across without having to read the description, and the description only strengthens things. It's a great look, the leg pose and roses were both especially nice choices. Negatives; Over all it's a bit dark on dark on dark, might be nice to have had a different background or some other little element to just break it up a tad.
Ultrabord (Danielle)
Positives; Danielle looks absolutely stunning, and the flapper idea was a great one. Negatives; The background is a little off, and a leg mod with gold shoes or some kind of movement might have been nice to see, could have looked like she was doing the Charleston.
elphiethesane (Chantal)
Positives; Kudos for putting Chantal in a suit and giving her a female companion! Love the breaking of traditional norms, and she looks great. The way you worked with her updo hair was especially fantastic. Negatives; The description was a bit much, and we would have liked to hear why Chantal's date was dead. Could have maybe added some creature features, said it was a monster prom. Just something to explain that and tie it together a bit more would have been nice.
x_suicide_is_inevitable_x (Ella)
Positives; Beautiful colors together, and it has a nice sense of whimsy and magic that can be thought of in terms of proms. Negatives; The look itself doesn't necessarily say prom, and the description was far too long again - especially for not giving enough information about Ella's experiences and the story of what is actively happening in the submission. Also, make up isn't technically allowed, and we saw the La Belle Maquillage.

OriginsPlayer Name Designer: AmberEmma Character Name Model: Wanda Class: Archer Description: “Stalking through the frozen forest, a hunter weaves through the tall fields of grass. Brown eyes watching every movement of the forest with extreme caution. At the sound of a twig snapping from the brush in front of her, she takes position in the grass and crouches down readying her bow. With her aim set, a doe cautiously leaves the wooded area and enters the open field. As the hunter prepares to take the shot, she is stopped by the sight of a fawn trailing behind the doe. Now hesitant she lowers her bow knowing that she doesn't have it in her to separate this fawn from its mother, like how she had been separated from her mother all those years ago. Placing the arrow back in its quiver she heads off to her camp knowing she’ll be going to bed hungry tonight.” As someone who loves RPG's to no end and who plays Dungeons & Dragons biweekly, I know that one of the most important aspects of a character is their origins. The characters origins are what drives them to their goal and helps dictate their actions. Knowing who they were before the journey helps add to them as a character and can help define them later on. Here I made a scene with Wanda, that helps shed light onto her character. She’s kind-hearted and seems to have some deep-rooted trauma regarding separation from her mother. This sets the stage for character building throughout the adventure and will also help create a goal for her to follow. Every character needs a reason for going on the adventure and in Wanda's case it’d be to find out what happened to her mother. With the outfit I went simple but stylish, using and tried to make everything work with her bow. I wanted her bow to be the main focal point but I also wanted to obscure her slightly. After all, a good archer kills from the shadows. Using two backgrounds I was able to get a cliff view with a castle in the background well having tall grass in the foreground.

Magic MedicDesigner: Ultrabord Model: Danielle Class: Healer Description: She follows behind the others, mentally going over each healing spell and hoping she doesn't have to use them too often, so she can save her energy for when she's needed the most. Sometimes it seems like the knight leading in the front relies a little too heavily on his armor and her restorative abilities... the rogue is a bit more careful, but when he does get hit he comes to her immediately, even for the smallest wound. Not that she's complaining, she cares about her friends and loves being able to help them and keep them alive and well. The mage comes for potions to cure magical curses inflicted upon him, while the archer mostly comes to her for energy potions and morale boost, which she is more than happy to provide. They're just like a family to her, and she wouldn't have it any other way. No party is complete without a healer tending to her teammates. She follows behind, taking care of her friends, using healing magic, bandaging their wounds and giving them medicinal potions. Even when it seems like the enemy is impossible to beat, taking a break to regain health more often than not makes all the difference in a difficult battle. I chose to create a healer since many people overlook the most important RPG class until they need healing. started with the arm pose and the classic cute nurse hat and skirt and building from there, including footwear that reminds me a little of medical bandages. I tried to balance to dark and light elements as well. I chose a dark background so that the model would stand out- like a bright light shining through the darkness, almost like an angel coming to the rescue (hence the halo of stars and the sparkles around her.) She is a magical healer as well as a nurse, and in the darkness of battle, she is the light they look to for protection and guidance.
