"Hey! Isn't this place cool? As you can see not only is it a gym but it's also a rock club! Pretty unique even for a gym, huh? This your first time here? People come from all over to hear Koffing and the Toxics play. Oh, sorry for rambling, you're here for the gym leader. Hang tight real quick." The guide said to Terashi before scampering off to talk to the band mates. While speaking the male and female pair would glare at Terashi from a distance before one of them headed off backstage, the guide coming back to Terashi.

"Alright, you're up. Hope you are ready to rock!" He said with a laugh as he lightly smacked Terashi on the back, gesturing for him to proceed onto center stage, the trainer noticing the stage was marked with purple duct tape to outline a battlefield. Once Terashi took his spot the lights would go off and the ear shattering music would start up again.

"Get ready!" A woman shouted, a purple spotlight suddenly turning on to shine upon her to reveal Roxie standing on the other side of the field, guitar in hand. 'Cause I'm Roxie, this is Koffing, and these are the Toxics and we're gonna knock some sense outta ya!" She screamed as the rest of the lights turned on to reveal her band mates playing behind her and a Koffing floating in front of her, ready to battle. "Come on, don't be dim! The challenger gets the first go because they need it to even try to win!"

"Setting the stage huh? Our stage is already set so instead we'll get the pyrotechnics going! Will-o-Wisp!" Roxie screamed, the crowd going wild.

The Koffing would respond with excellent showmanship as it spun and spiraled around upwards, conjuring up and throwing out balls of blue flame which intentionally danced and zigzagged around in the air with rehearsed pomp before they slammed into Odo with a rhythmic beat, Roxie accompanying the hits with strums of the guitar. Her battles were part of her music.

Koffing would fall for the Swagger hook, line, and sinker, the gas bag becoming increasingly annoyed with the arrogance of the Garbodor, the Poison type becoming enraged by it.

"We already got enough swagger thank you! That said you may have introduced a new beat but it's not one we can't keep up with! Show them we can still roll with the rock! Use Gyro Ball!" Roxie shouted.

Koffing would attempt to shake off the confusion and execute the requested move. If it did break through the fog of Swagger it would begin to spin in place rapidly, emitting silvery energy, several spotlights then turned onto it to reflect the light off of its body like a disco ball to give further flair to the performance. The Koffing would then utilize its newfound physical strength and ram its spinning body into the garbage Pokemon.

Otherwise if the confusion set in it would disappoint the crowd and simply fizzle out with its Gyro Ball and miss its target, slamming into the ground behind Garbodor.

(If 1; hurts self in confusion.)

The Thunderbolt would zap the defenseless Koffing as it began to rise back up into the air. While the gas bag shuddered a bit from the shocking both Terashi and Odo would notice it didn't seem to bother the Pokemon too much. It was then that they noticed something glistening on the back side of its body, strange gemstone adhered to it, an Eviolite. Apparently Roxie was so keen on using her band's mascot in gym battles that she gave it a little extra something to make it more of a lasting threat.

Either way the crowd seemed to applaud for Terashi now after Garbodor's sparkling display of electricity. Didn't hurt either that he was using the home town's favorite type either.

"Man, you're messing up the beat, throwing it all off rhythm!" Roxie despaired, though her Koffing seemed to be in a better mood out of that shocking, more resolved. "But hey, it looks like that light show was just the jump start we need to get the song back on scale! I can't let you steal the show, after all! Koffing, try a Gyro Ball once more!" She said, with a strum of her guitar.

Once again Koffing would execute its disco ball performance and hurl its self at Garbodor, this time no longer befuddled by confusion and ready to make it regret that Swagger.

Koffing would get slugged by the Dark move, the gas bag sent spiraling through the air, now sans its Eviolite. The once shimmering stone would lose its glimmer in Odo's hands however, the fully evolved Pokemon getting no use out it but alas Koffing didn't either. The crowd seemed to really enjoy this as there were shouts of 'oh snap!' and the like.

"What a shocking beat drop! For a suit you ain't bad! However I got a surprise single up my sleeve too!" Roxie declared. The young gym leader would then begin to strum away on her bass guitar fast and hard, changing the tempo of her song to something quicker and yet more ominous. Koffing would respond to the sudden change in tune by firing off a red beam of energy from its skull and cross bones symbol, aiming to hit Odo with its Pain Split.

The Fling empowered Eviolite would peg the Koffing square between the eyes, causing the gas bag to flip backwards from the recoil, the Poison type soon regaining its composure as it glared at Odo. Thankfully the Garbodor's burn made it hurt less than it could have but despite the Pain Split restoring some health it still was getting pretty worn out, after all Odo wasn't at full health its self when it used the previous move.

"You got flair and have been showing me up! Unfortunately for us both I am a show woman first and a gym leader a close second! Koffing, Explosion! Time to rock the house!" She declared with a laugh, strumming the guitar hard. She was...uh...certainly one of the more colorful gym leaders.

Deciding to take Garbodor down with it the Koffing would release a puff of gas behind it and ram into the fellow Poison type full speed. In mid flight it began to charge up the needed energy so that when it arrived it would erupt with a fierce explosion that rocked the entire building. Once the dust settled Koffing would be revealed to be knocked out but miraculously the stage was still in tact.

"Time to change songs!" Roxie declared as she began to play a slower, almost sluggish song, but alas the crowd still loved it. After Koffing was recalled a glob of purple goop would rise out of a crack in the ground, the seemingly living sludge letting out a moan as the Spikes pierced its body. Soon enough the entire mass would rise up to reveal a towering Muk, ready for battle.

"Hey, looks like we got the smoke going now! Not too keen on the color but still, thanks for helping out with the show!" Roxie declared with a smile. "Unfortunately for you I never planned on going for the intoxicating route, instead we're gonna up the bass! Shadow Punch!" The gym declared.

With a bellow the Muk would raise its large fist into the air as it began to glow with Ghost energy. The massive pile of sludge would then slam it into the ground where it would disappear, but not for long as the goopy fist reappeared right below the Gallade to deliver a surprise ghostly uppercut.
