"You are the one who said that things happen when you sing." He pointed out, "And now we will get to see the truth of it."
Of course the things Ravnos spoke of sounded just like the things they usually got up to in the evenings, and there was no singing required. Generally, it only took a few words, a glance, or a kiss that ended up prolonged because one or the other of them didn't want it to stop.
No. It really did not take much where the two of them were concerned, and he did not imagine that tonight would be any different. It had already been very tempting more than once.
But now instead, he waited. He watched as paused to think, watched as he closed his eyes, and waited a little bit more until Ravnos began.
The God didn't know what to expect. He suspected he would enjoy the sound of Ravnos's voice no matter what he was doing, whether it be singing or just talking, and that much was definitely true. He listened with rapt attention, his body utterly still, eyes unblinking but searching, taking in the expression of the Disciples face, of his body. It was no surprise at all to him that he found the way Ravnos sounded to be quite pleasing, though it was not just that.
It was the words, it was the passion within them, it was the way his voice rose and fell, swelled and muted. It coiled through the God, warmed him, and twisted in his stomach. It was...well, it was beautiful, really, again Grendels hand moved, cupping the side of Ravnos's face, a thumb brushing along his cheekbone, and a soft smile on his face.
"So you did lie to me." He said, his voice a quiet rumble. "You said you were not all that good."

The words sang from his heart.
Ravnos believed that there was no truer way to express yourself and your feelings other than song. Happy, sad, angry, drunk….in love. All the others he could sing any time of day but love. He couldn’t rememrthe last time he sang about love. Maybe way back when he was young and dumb and mortal. But when he had been turned it all felt like ash in his mouth.
Now? Well, old vampires can sometimes change their views of the world when shown different.
Biting as his bottom lip as the thumb passes over his cheek. Baby making music. “Just this once.” His hand slid back onto the God’s chest as he leaned in, placing a kiss on his lips. He pulled back only briefly to utter. “And I’m not.”

Hm. Yes. Grendel could feel it now. The way Ravnos bit down on his bottom lip, the feel of his hand against the God's chest, and the gentle press of lips against his own. He could not say it was the music specifically because really, he wanted the Disciple all the time...but it was definitely working in the vampire's favour right now.
"That," The God growled, leaning in to n** at Ravnos's jawline. "Is a contradiction." He placed a kiss where he had just nipped at him, and then a few more, working his way to his neck and down before giving another sharp bite, not enough to break the skin but enough for the Disciple to feel like it could have.
Back up to his face, their noses almost touching again. "And you are." he insisted.

“Is it now? How can you be so sure?” Had he told Grendel a half truth? Perhaps spun a tale or two? He was not so sure. If there was a specific time that came to mind. But when it was so ingrained in what you were sometimes it was hard to distinguish. As long as he believed what he said that was all that had really mattered for centuries. And so now it had changed. He did care that Grendel believed him.
Closing his eyes he let out a small sigh as the God worked kisses down his neck, the sharp bite cause of his skin to prickle.
Being this close was always hard. It was hard not to bite him. Not to kiss him. Not to run his hands up and down his body. To curl that red hair around his fingers and just be. There was rarely a time he didn’t think about him and every glance and every touch they might share. The insistence on Grendel’s eyes made him smile. “If you say so.”

"I do." He said, and smiled in return, his hand slipping to curl around the back of the Disciple's head, leaning forward to press their foreheads together. Sometimes it was so hard to be this close and not find a way to just be closer. He always wanted to be near him, to feel him, though it wasn't all just physical.
There was that emotional connection as well. That thing that had drawn him towards Ravnos, to begin with. Something that he'd never felt before and was sure he would never feel with another ever again. It would be impossible to feel this much about anyone else.
He let out a deep sigh. "I love you, Dracian." He murmured, the arm that was beneath the Disciple curled around him now, and pulled him closer.

Ravnos stared into Grendel’s eyes. So much emotion swirled within those depths. All of it for him and he ducked in a breath almost involuntarily. If everything they had been through to now and the love that they expressed wasn’t enough to convince him that it must be true the two little bundles in the room not far from their own certainly did. They were a culmination of all their love and feelings poured into two tiny little things. Babies for them to love and grow together. And he hoped there would be more to come. If there children together was not proof to the world then what would be?
He could not think of anything.
“I love you too, Grendel. I always will.” And he meant that. He could say it. No one else could or would compare. Little could he have known that when the God had shown up that one day how his life would have gone. He certainly hadn’t seen it head this way but that was before Ravnos knew of how the God had felt for him all this time they had spent a part since that meeting Caine had called of the Disciples long ago. He hadn’t been out to impress anyone that day, merely looking out for his clan and the unfair treatment of the Clanless. He had felt that everyone should belong but forcing them to choose or die was not something that sat well with him. So he had told Caine to go ******** himself and left. Knowing little of just how powerful his ‘No’ had effected Grendel at the time.
Who could have?

"Always." He affirmed, though he already knew it and so did Ravnos. They were in this together, forever, or so long as they both existed at least, and nothing would change that. He did not know that this is how things would have wound up when he sought out the Disciple, but they had, and he could not have been happier for it. He drew Ravnos in for a kiss then, a hungry one, with lips parting to deepen it, pouring into it all of his love and desire for him as he often did.

Ravnos did know. How could he not? The God met his passion with one that burned just as hot and bright as his own for him. It was a beacon in the dark ther had been his life. Something to guide him to this life. Someplace he could call home. And no matter where he roamed If he choose to Grendel would always be there with him. Just a whisper away.
He returned the hungry kiss with one of his own. A light moan escaping his lips as he brought a hand up to cup Grendel’s face. He loved him. He wanted him.
Please don’t let the babies wake up.
