As long as the story is good and the characters are well designed and with a good complexity I read quite every type of fantasy. heart
I'm a very fast reader.

Yes I have to agree that both are great! Out of my two favorite books of all time one is a medieval and the other is modern. That being said it seems like it's easier to find a modern one that sounds good enough to read, but when I do find a medieval one it tends to be better than the average modern ones.

I heart fantasy!

I like modern fantasy I can relate more easily with the characters in them then the ones in the medieval storys. A good plot is essential to a story but if I don't like the characters I probably wont read the story again.

I like mostly medieval fantasy. But I don't like sci-fi fantasy. I don't understand sci-fi well enough. It confuses me. crying But I do like some modern fantasy.

It all depends on the author.

Clive Barker does really wonderful modern stuff, but I love the quirkynesss of Patricia Wrede's books

I am definitely a medieval fantasy fan. I find that usually books set in the modern era aren't as well-written. Plus, I love the conspiracies that go on in royal courts!

Some modern is okay, but I like the knights and battles in the medieval time period.

Both are great but I like medieval more what I hate is when it is medieval with modern machines that suck.
