While this isn't always true, I've found that commonly, the people who look "most goth" (i.e. "so goth its scary") aren't actually goths, but are componsating for their "un-gothness" with aesthetics.

Exactly. Goth is pretty normal in its own way.
It's not all blackness, anti-light, loads of make-up, no smiles, bleeding wrists, hatred to everything, suicidal and faked depression.

Yeah they should have. I live in Colorado and got lots of crap from people after Columbine and we dont need anymore things like that going on.

Reminds me of a Senior in my Freshman year, but I got to know him and it turns out he was just anti-social, he did it all just to keep every one away. The only thing that was true, was that he did have fire hydrent wrench in his locker
