I was called a poser back in high school by an avid I.C.P and Kiss fan because I listen to more than just one type of music. Sure, country music is corny, but it is style a form of musical expression too, one that should be avoided at all costs if you are lonely.. unless it is soothing.
Anyway... Yeah.. he called me a poser. Then tried to steal one of my shirts and he stole my Nightmare before Christmas movie.
I only call myself goth to make the explanation easier for others.. I am really just myself.

I may have been called a poser once or twice, but I just ignore it because I know I'm better than them.

My sister labels me a "wannabe goth" for some bizzare reason and says I have emo friends, which is funny considering none of the friends she considers emo are anywhere close to it.
Also, one day just to randomly irritate her, I stated that Panic! At The Disco was emo (Again, not necessarily that they are, I just did it to nag her.)
She looks at the shirt I'm wearing and says (With a straight face),
"Slayer is more emo than Panic! At The Disco."
Time stopped for a few seconds, I shook my head, and then walked away laughing.

To me when people do that its cause they're trying to act all "Gothier than thou". They think that by doing that it somehow makes them better. Dont pay them any mind. Everyone has their own view on what it is to be gothic ^_^ confused which is why its such a hard subculture to describe haha
