Demon's Lair

Almirrah stopped, her large ears shooting up and her eyes widening, when she heard the small sound of blood dripping onto the ground. She did her best to ignore the sound, but it began to echo and swim through her mind, tempting her to turn around and attack at the sight of the red substance. Keep walking... don't look back... it's just Shuicho and that deer she repeated in her mind, closing her eyes and walking forward. Eventually she hit the trunk of a tree, and found taht it would be better to just continue walking normally.

*shuicho made the fire and began slow cooking the deer*

"Why do you cook it? Isn't it good raw?" she asked. She preferred the meal raw... otherwise she would not be able to feed at all. She sighed, looking back at Shuicho. The fire stung her eyes and so she looked away quickly, blinking painfully. "I'll go look for rabbit then..." she said.
At least the blood gravy would satisfy my hunger...

Almirrah turned and disappeared behind the bushes.

It was a while until she finally spotted a family of tiny rabbits. Their light furs were visible against the dark green colour of the plants they stood under. Almirrah knew that rabbits were easily scared, and could become petrified with fear. She thought of a way of how to kill all of them without letting them scamper away.
Oh what I'd do for one of those human traps...

"whats taking allmirrah it'll be lite soon"

A yawn escaped Almirrah's mouth, and she became temporarily dizzied and sleepy. She shook her head and wondered what her sleepiness meant. Then she realized, Oh goodness, it must be morning already!
She didn't waste a moment to think and simply pounced onto the rabbits, digging her claws into their bodies, hoping to kill them easily. One of them escaped, but she didn't mind. She held her breath (so that the scent of blood would not awake her vampiric senses) and gathered the rabbits in her mouth, beginning to return back to Shuicho.

"mmmm it's almost morning she better get back soon"

Almirrah spotted Shuicho and dashed for him, the rabbits knocking together while they hung from her mouth. She winced at the flames, stepping back into the bushes and dropped the rabbits near Shuicho. "I've found several small ones" she said, panting and gasping for breath for she had been holding her breath for rather a long time. She collapsed near a tree and sighed, feeling strangely tired. However, she looked forward to treating herself to the meal. "Do you need any help?" she asked, watching Shuicho assemble the ingredients.

"yes i need you to help me by staying in the shade."*shuicho said trying to make her comfortable*

"Oh" she sighed, remaining in her shady spot by the bushes. She closed her eyes and listened silently to the soft crackling of the fire as it ate at the wood beneath it. "Well... if you need any help, just let me know" she said.

*shuicho nuzzeled her trying to get her to wake up*"we need to hurry back to the cave the sun is coming out"

Almirrah jumped up growling (a sudden reaction she has) but then calmed down when she noticed it was only Shuicho. She yawned, her semi-vampiric teeth giving her the appearance of an attacking snake. "Oh, what about the..." she shook her head after yawning "...food?" she finished, sniffing the air and looking up at the trees above. Surely enough, the sun had just risen and its rays were peeking through the leaves.

Almirrah nods, feeling awfully hungry since she hadn't eaten any share of the meal yet. "So... where will we stay at?" she asked gloomily, still nearly half awake.
