How young is too young?

My mom didn't let me get my ears peirced until I was 9. I wish she had just done it when I was little so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Most toddler girls I've seen have had their ears peirced. Parents just assumed that she'll want it done later on anyway.

I can understand teens getting piercings. Hell, I can understand preteens getting piercings. But a TODDLER? Isn't that taking it too far?

I saw a little girl on the bus today, wearing gold hoop earrings. She couldn't have been more than three. It seems really crass to put earrings on a kid that age, and really cruel to stick pins through their ears when they're too young to be making the desicion on their own. I've seen little children get pierced, I've seen how hard they cry, and I think it's ******** wrong.

But maybe I'm just old fashioned. Do you think there should be an age limit on piercing? If so, what should it be?

I don't particularly know what the age limit should be but there should be one.
Perhaps....7 or 8+? But I dnno...obviously only if they ask to/agree to them

I dont have my ears pierced, Im afraid of needles. x.x;
I did get em pierced when I was 8, and it hurt cuz i got scared. [XD]
But, The holes filled in cuz I never actually wore earrings. So Imma get em pierced in, like, mah sleep or sumthin. x3

My best friend's baby sister got her ears pierced before she was 1. Its not really body piercings, almost everybody gets their ears pierced sooner or later, and alot of kids hate needles. Better late than never, I guess. ;D

At least 10 would be a good age to start thinking about piercings. I don't know to much about it though, CAUSE MY MOM PIERCED ME AT 9 MONTHS >:O

I saw a 10-12 year old kid with a lip ring
and I've got to admit, I fell back on bad parenting.
I'm not too sure why, but I don't enjoy
youngins with piercings. I believe around your
late teens you more so have an idea of what you
want and if it's a good idea or not.

I recently saw a 10 yr old with her eyebrow pierced. I literally had nothing to say to that. I think anyone younger than junior high shouldn't have any other than their ears.
