"But...but me do." Jackie was confused. She was incredibly old and she always thought she had acted that way.

"Honey I'm sorry to say this but you don't. You may be old, but on the inside you're still a little child, talking just as they do" Arianna explained to her.

"You see how we use a whole bunch of words, instead of just a few?" Said Mirri slowly, to accentuate her point. "Thats what grown ups do, and I have a feeling you won't have a problem with that, you'll catch on quick."

Jackie thought about this. "But....why? Why wastie your breath? I thinks old people should talk less 'cause they using up their air. Is better, I thinks." Then she shrugged. "But me try."

Alessandra laughed. "We don't exactly need to use up much air," she pointed out.

Mirri chuckled. "Yes, I suppose thats true Jackie, but can you try for now?" She said with a smile. "I'm going to go to my room, I think some rest is in order before school tomorrow." She said, accentuating school, hoping Jackie would get her point.

"Do we have to go?" Arianna asked, winning like a 4 year old.

"You're not helping," Alessandra hissed. "Set an example!"  

[Arriana_lynn]

"What if I don't wanna? Arianna whined, still acting like a little child.

Alessandra looked to Mirri for assistance.

"Maybe Jackie wants to go to school. She's never been!" Hissed Mirri at Arianna, surprised at her juvenile response. "But she loves you, and if she thinks that you think its not fun, she won't want to go!"

"What school? I heared humans say it before, but me not sure what's it. It must be fun since they spend lots and lots of times there! School makes everything easy for Jackie...... so many humans there..... if one went bye-bye they never know!" She thought of all the humans wandering alone - especially the slower, plump ones. Then seeing the looks of her new sister's faces, she said, "But - Jackie get lost maybe."

"Jackie, honey, listen to me. You cannot drink from humans anymore, ok? If you want to go to school and fit in with the big kids than you need to be good and not kill them ok?" Arianna said.

Mirri nudged Alessandra. "Please tell me you realize how funny it sounds that we have to tell a three year old not to kill people..." She whispered quietly.

Alessandra nodded, now able to smile at what had - just earlier that day - horrified her to no end.
